http://www.campaignforliberty.com/- monoa, on 07/16/2008, -34/+9Meh. Come back to me when the old wingnut gets a clue about evolution and climate change.
- dupems, on 07/16/2008, -9/+7Kill yourself.
- monoa, on 07/16/2008, -13/+6lol. Proving my point: wingnut supporters for a wingnut.
- thecoolestguy, on 07/16/2008, -1/+91) Ron Paul wants each state to decide education policy for itself. Homogenizing education policy for 300 million people from Washington D.C. is not the answer regardless of what side of the creationist/evolution debate you're on. (I'm 100% on the side of evolution, but again, I know that's not Washington DC's determination to make).
2) Climate change cannot be averted through world government. The risks of centralizing world policies are far greater than the risks of not having a mechanism to coordinate international efforts to reduce CO2 emissions.
Climate change efforts useless anyways because China will emit an increasingly large percentage of global CO2 every year, and they will not do any thing to decrease their coal-power energy program. - mrsteveman1, on 07/16/2008, -8/+10I duno, I'm for states rights, but Louisiana just proved some states are completely incompetent. I have no problem with the government (yea even at the federal level) dictating that local school districts can't teach ***** theories simply because real facts and science happen to disagree with the bible.
At some point you have to say, yea government should be minimal, but if keeping it minimal means millions of kids in specific school districts are exposed to ***** theories under the guise of science, minimal government really isn't helping. - thadizzle, on 07/16/2008, -8/+8The federal government should not be involved in public education. If people in LA or anywhere else want to teach alternate theories, that is their choice made through voting. If people in LA want to teach mainstream theories, then that's their choice through voting as well. The debate is between two THEORIES - and until there is definitve proof or even concrete evidence to prove/disprove either one, it's not really fair to mandate a standard for the entire country.
I think the real question is whether teaching creation in a public school system is a violation of the Constitution or not. I would think that it is. - thadizzle, on 07/16/2008, -2/+9"Evolution and climate change" are right down their with gay marriage on the priority list. Not that science and the destruction of our natural habitat isn't important...it's just not as "in your face" as, say -
- The crazy Iraq War
- The impending war with Iran
- Losing the legitimate war in Afghanistan
- The collapse of the dollar
- The recession that will soon become a depression
- The stripping away of our individual liberties
- Making way more enemies than friends
- Illegal immigration
I guarantee that you are in your early 20's or younger... :) - mrsteveman1, on 07/16/2008, -3/+13"If people in LA or anywhere else want to teach alternate theories, that is their choice made through voting."
No, this is why we have representatives, ***** make stupid decisions.
Creationism is not a theory, it is "the bible tells me this is what happened, now i must make the facts fit to prove it". That's not science, and it should not be in SCIENCE CLASS. There are theology classes for this crap. - notanidiot, on 07/16/2008, -1/+5States have rights, but not infinite rights. What about individual rights? Why shouldn't children, who can't vote by the way, have the right to be taught correctly in school? Individual rights supercede states rights.
- SpencerMc, on 07/16/2008, -1/+3@thadizzle
I don't think the word theory means what you think it means.
--
I agree with notanidiot, the fact of the matter is that kids don't vote, and allowing each state to decide whether or not they teach ***** as fact is just perpetuating a vicious cycle. It's bad enough that a lot of them are going to be indoctrinated through private schools and their homelife.
Remember that satire about Alabama declaring pi to be equal to 3? I'm fairly certain that wouldn't be all that far from the truth should popular democracy be allowed to decide what is taught in schools. - monoa, on 07/16/2008, -2/+4Heh, heh. Poke the monkeys and watch them start jumping.
Despite the many sane and worthwhile ideals Paul has, his idiotic denial of evolution and the massive urgency of AGW makes him a slightly dangerous sideshow curiosity. And, he's a one-trick pony - "what does the constitution say?". The words 'nuance' and 'adaptability' don't spring to mind when thinking of Paul.
It's absolutely clear that the teaching curriculum can not be entrusted to individual schools, local districts or even states. Dover being one of the more prominent examples of what happens when religious retards get a majority and start creeping in their bronze age idiocy. It's serious ***** and effectively ruins the education and opportunities for the children caught by them.
As for global warming, it's clear there needs to be a global action plan. Here's the clue why: there's only one planet to live on. The environment has no interest in borders or who you vote for. All the political ideology ***** about "world government" will be meaningless if there is not massive, concerted action. - monoa, on 07/16/2008, -2/+3thadizzle,
Even if I were 10 years old, it would be completely irrelevant to any argument or evidence provided.
Also, it's evident that age, in your case, has not produced wisdom: "[evolution / creationism are] ... two THEORIES..."
Gotta love the way the ignorant and clueless almost always advertise the fact by SHOUTING it.
You need to spend time reading something other than Paul's manifesto.
- expert01, on 07/16/2008, -1/+19It took some looking for, but there will be a march on Sept. 2, 2008 in St. Paul Minneapolis. I had no idea about it before, but now I swear to god I'll be there. I don't care what it takes, and I'm bringing friends (about time for a Road Trip). 17 hour trip... but it's worth it. Voting for Obama with everyone else is going to be an empty vote, so I'll vote for Paul, even if it's a write-in.
- toetagger, on 07/16/2008, -1/+7"St. Paul", get it?
- freexe, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2I don't know how the American system works, but could they count the GOP Ron Paul vote as a vote for the GOP party candidate McCain?
- scimitar91, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1"even if it's a write-in"
of course it will be, but i'm with you. - guntario, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2Just vote for Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin, but Bob is polling double digits in some states.
- flossdaily, on 07/16/2008, -21/+11This Ron Paul cult is starting to freak me out. Everyone's all excited about a republican because he said the same ***** about the war that democrats have been saying all along? Or are they super excited that he wants to return the country to same financial structure we had before FDRs New Deal? Great, because, you know, there's nothing this country needs like a brand new Great Depression.
Or are you just excited about him because he speaks like an anti-establishment candidate? Guess, what- it's nothing new. Look at Al Sharpten, Dennis Kucinich, Ralph Nader. It's easy to talk straight when you don't have a prayer of winning.
If Ron Paul ever got a big enough coalition that he actually had a shot at winning, he'd start sounding more like every other politician you know. Just look at McCain and Obama. They both started out as honest fringe candidates, but now that the presidency is in sight, McCain is starting to sound like Bush, and Obama is folding on retroactive immunity for telecoms, so that he can sign onto FISA and say he's tough on security.
(besides, Ron Paul is racist. Read his news letter.)- h3lx, on 07/16/2008, -3/+4and the rest of us who could give a ***** about all that other ***** and just want accountability and open Gov't? I'll take my crazy with a side of common sense and a slice of Justice. Hold the Jesus Juice.
- TheDeepFriar, on 07/16/2008, -3/+71. It's not a cult--It's a movement for freedom.
2. Ron Paul did not write that newsletter--It was written by a supporter/volunteer. As soon as he found out about it he retracted it and sent out an apology. - prrp, on 07/16/2008, -1/+3ACTUALLY, Ron Paul has been saying the things he's been saying for many, many years. Compare that to the history of Obama (which he has none) or to McCain (Flip-flip-away!). He may have had a chance of winning if the media hadn't conveniently painted him as crazy. Here in TN, there are STILL Ron Paul signs everywhere. Also, he did very well in the mid-west and west in the later primaries, especially considering he got 0 air time from the media. No chance of winning? No. It is just rigged by certain choices made by the media.
Ron Paul does take a constitutional approach to *IRAQ* like some democrats, however his entire view on foreign policy is fairly rare to come across. He has a perfect balance of non-interventionism - NOT ISOLATIONISM!!!! I don't see why that concept is so hard to grasp for some people!
What really sets Ron Paul apart from Republicans AND Democrats are some of his social policies that are well rooted in traditional republican values and libertarian values. It is of freedom and liberty and of a ****VAST REDUCTION IN THE SIZE OF GOVERNMENT****!
And Ron Paul is one of my favorite people every are his stances on the Federal Reserve. If you don't know why the Fed is evil, you can easily read some history on how it was started, how it helped us INTO the depression, and how it is essentially a hidden "tax" on the people. To say the markets can't regulate themselves is to say capitalism is a lie.
As far as being a racist... it's really funny how influenced by the media you are. Typically, to be a racist, someone has to SAY something or DO something. In this situation, there was an article written BY SOMEONE ELSE in the Ron Paul Newsletter. Ron Paul didn't even have part in editing it. He immediately apologized for it. If you talk to anyone, black or white, who has met Ron Paul, they will tell you he is one of the kindest people they've ever met.
You, sir, are why I am scared of what America is becoming. You're apathetic, saying that every politician who gets power will be evil. You're not well versed, obviously, because you have no clue about Ron Paul or his policies. You even had the gall to suggest that this "cult" likes Ron Paul because he is an anti-establishment candidate. Let me tell you, I vote for policies, not for social stigma and that is why I voted for Ron Paul.
Thank you for reading. - Journeywithinn, on 07/16/2008, -1/+4There is no cult for Ron. There are people who KNOW that our Constitution is what makes this country different than ANY other, and it must be kept as the Rule of Law, or properly amended and changed. Ron has a voting record and history you can check for 20 years, if you do not think he is consistent. You should be MUCH more afraid of CFR.org, of which Obama and McCain are members (as are Bush and Cheney). Those people have the agenda that is toppling America. Research. Do not go by your "gut". The media has got you half-way "programmed".
- notanidiot, on 07/16/2008, -1/+2OK, just because someone doesn't agree with Ron Paul doesn't mean they are programmed by the media. To assume that it does is a vast disservice to the credibility of the Ron Paul campaign, which I've been kind of in and out on. I can list one thing Ron Paul has voted on recently that I totally disagree with, and thats against the impeachment of Cheney, which totally makes everything he has said about accountability, the Constitution, and noninterventionism null and void.
As far as the racism thing goes, if I were a presidential candidate, and I recieved money from a racist organization, I would make a big deal about returning it and denouncing such donors. How do you "Ron Paul Revolutioners" feel about the fact that if your cause goes through, you may owe it partly to the Aryan nation? Its *****, and its one category I choose not to be in. White supremacists ruin the whole group, and Paul made the wrong choice in accepting their donations. He started to get national coverage, until the stories broke out about those donations, and then it was back under the rug for Ron Paul. Rookie move!! - flossdaily, on 07/21/2008, -1/+1You Ron Paul folks say you're not a cult, but you talk about Ron Paul as if he is the messiah.
The only point worth addressing was the accusation that I am apathetic somehow because I recognize that any candidate with a real shot at the presidency starts pandering.
I'm not apathetic at all. My education, my job, my future career - it's all about working to fix our national government. Just because you disagree with me, don't pretend to know my mind or my passion for my country.
Also, Ron Paul is a ***** racist. (needs to be repeated often for those of you who don't seem to ever want to actually address the issue)
- Syphon220, on 07/16/2008, -15/+1WHPO THS ***** IS RONNY PAUL?
!? - LeeSoong, on 07/16/2008, -10/+1It would be more interesting if those same people marched in the capital city Tehran, Iran.
If the young men in that group want to march for peace,
join the U.S. military and help defend the peace for everyone. - nickbertovich, on 07/16/2008, -3/+1I went to one of these back in 2005. Since then there have been numerous other marches in Washington. Won't do a damn thing.

- hellogoodbye, on 07/16/2008, -1/+2Not completely on topic, but what about the thousands of people marching in Washington D.C. against Roe v. Wade. Whether you agree with their views or not, it's still freedom. But you sure don't hear about it on Digg.

Please post one example of me being an Israel-hater, Brappie. That simple search of your history yeilds tons of results proving your hatred of Israel. Your Star of David avatar and your lying about this subject just further demonstrates how much of a bigoted slimeball that you are. - BrapAllgood, on 07/15/2008, -10/+12*cough*cough*******cough*

Thanks! - Jeffmr1, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1Whats wrong with hating Israel, hating Jews is just plain racist, but i sure do hate Israel.
- Nintendesert, on 07/16/2008, -3/+6"Give me back my future!"
This is what is sad about the children that are so upset with the government and how it controls their lives. The most basic underlying point of that quoted comment is that the person requesting their future has already consented to the fact that their future is not theirs to control and is for someone else to give them.
The entire point of inalienable rights is that you nor the government can take or give those rights up. If your own future, isn't viewed by you as an inalienable right, then I don't think you deserve your future. And those that you've given up control of your future to don't either.
If you don't view that future as yours, and as something that someone else is encroaching upon and it's your responsibility to defend, then I truly feel sorry for you and feel pity for you as I see people asking for their souls back.
"Please Sir, may I have a future?" - ExGhost, on 07/16/2008, -0/+6Give me back my bullets!

- Arcueid01, on 07/15/2008, -14/+180That is sweet ***** to see. However, the problem is all of the brainwashed bitches in this country, the media working overtime with the spin on just about everything, our representatives don't represent, and we don't follow the Constitution. We are going to need something amazing to change the problems here.
I am happy to see all of the people who are here. This is great!- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX, on 07/16/2008, -27/+8That's right, you guys are brainwashed by Ron Paul.

- Shiftgood, on 07/16/2008, -9/+5So the problem is one of education right? (need smart people to make the smart decision)
So do you think that it will go from Repbulican > Ron Paul?
Or do you think that we need to build a path there?
Republican > Democrat > Ron Paul
As long as republicans are in control you can rest assure that your country is gonna be *****. (sorry reps. but its true, you guys ***** suck at running stuff, despite your ego).
If you know that there cant be a direct jump, why not try to figure out a way to do it. Just yelling at people that they're sheep is a horrible, horrible tactic in persuasion. its what uneducated children do on the playground.- 0nslaught, on 07/16/2008, -0/+9"As long as republicans are in control you can rest assure that your country is gonna be *****."
As long as [most of the current] republicans [or democrats] are in control you can rest assure that your country is gonna be *****.
Seems more accurate.

First rule of attempting to build a mass movement: Don't piss on your potential allies. - sumdog, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3Well, McCain will get assassinated which will cause Bush to halt the elections and issue a continuance of government. You doubt me? Wait...
Something on that scale will happen if things don't go McCain's way. - Beverly1958, on 07/16/2008, -1/+0and then there's the problem of all the brainwashed bastards, too

- onetimer, on 07/15/2008, -32/+16Right right, everyone who doesn't support Paul is a dirty, dirty Socialist. Those of course, are the only two options.
Keep up that message - it's sure to win supporters to your side!. - NorthMass, on 07/16/2008, -6/+11Well if your 100% against a true capitalist like Ron Paul and his ideas like you are onetimer, you most likely are a socialist because a socialist is basically the opposite of capitalist.
- dagnome1984, on 07/16/2008, -5/+14"Right right, everyone who doesn't support Paul is a dirty, dirty Socialist. Those of course, are the only two options.
Keep up that message - it's sure to win supporters to your side!."
How is that any different than only showing pictures to make it look like everyone who supports Ron Paul is a 911 truther or likes confederate flags? I find it ironic that you of all people would whine about gross characterizations. - USNavyBlue, on 07/16/2008, -2/+7I just had to throw my two cents in about the guy with the sign displaying the battle flag. The reason he did that (which in my opinion was in bad taste, but no matter) is because John Arrogant Sell out McCain said he was oh so "ashamed" of his Confederate Solider ancestors! I know for a damn fact that McCain knows good and well the War of the Northern Aggression was NOT fought over slavery.
It was fought over a 40% Cotton tariff the North wanted to impose on the South - its called States Rights. Slavery was NOT an issue until the very end of the war only because Lincoln made it one for the sole purpose of trying to justify and cover his illegal actions against the South - that is called War Propaganda. The pathetic part is the slaves still got screwed either way.
Once the Union Soldiers began invading the South they went on a raping rampage of the women, sometimes children and slaves were not exempt from it either. Furthermore after the Union discovered they had to give up their slaves, they abandoned the Union and TRIED to join the South. Really pathetic. Bet ya' didn't learn that in the public schools!
And has anyone noticed since Lincoln's illegal war that States Rights have eroded to the point of today everything we the people witness is becoming Federalized - that is called a Police State. Today we the people see the ill fated affects of Lincoln's actions and most people don't know how we arrived there.

Looks like Iowa all over to me. "It was too cold to go vote"...
ROTFLMAO - Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -11/+21why would anyone want to march for the bury brigade anal warts?

It's like Yau Man complaining about tall people. - ssn697, on 07/15/2008, -13/+17@bohemianowl

@cryrightrighttard/mightdave troll
Exactly WHEN did Paultards become the left? Not that your ***** on a stick opinion matters, but you are even more clueless than usual on this one.
Not surprising that you would show up to comment when Anal warts are brought up... - onetimer, on 07/15/2008, -22/+11i was laughing, bohemian. Those pictures were hilarious. Only at a Paulitie march will you find pictures of men dressed up as lady liberty, or wearing "spartan" gear made out of political signs...
Remind me again who the loser is. Folks like me who (rightfully) predicted that Paul wouldn't win a single state, or folks like you who banked a fortune as well as the last year and a half on the idea that he would win? - NorthMass, on 07/16/2008, -3/+13Onetimer, Ron Paul won Louisiana but was robbed of it look it up, and almost won Washington state (he came in a very close 3rd). He won the majority of delegates in Nevada and as a result the Republicans called off the convention but the delegates reconvened and Ron has won Nevada, and may win other states through the delegate process. So your claim he didn't win one state is wrong, at worst he won Louisiana and Nevada and was robbed, at best he may get over five states and have a small chance at winning the nomination through the delegate process.
- almayng, on 07/16/2008, -2/+3wow one timer... you never miss. It it says Ron Paul, you are there. I love all the attention you give to Ron Paul. Keep up the good work!
- ssn697, on 07/15/2008, -35/+185k TOPS show up (even though 15,000 signed a "pledge" to show), with 99.9% of them whites (I am sure that suits you JUST FINE), and you call someone ELSE a loser?
- Pssdoff, on 07/15/2008, -11/+50The trolls have arrived I see.
15,000 were expected from the website, and clearly thousands did indeed show up. Thousands of people took the time to show up, opting not to hurl insults from their computer as you did, but rather to protest outside in the baking sun to try to urge their government to return to a Constitutional rule of law.
If you are going to personally insult random people from the internet, why don't you show up in person and say those things to their face? It really shows what kind of piece of ***** you are that you post random pictures of people here and insult them from the safety of your extra wide computer chair.
Here's a picture of you:
http://www.columbia.edu/%7Esf2220/TT2007/web-conte ...
And BTW, I talked to that guy on the bottom and he doesn't even support Ron Paul. He said very plainly that he was there for his own agenda - 9/11 Truth.- reed311, on 07/15/2008, -24/+15"If you are going to personally insult random people from the internet, why don't you show up in person and say those things to their face?"

Classic. Keep it up guys. - Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -12/+24The bury brigade isn't "random people" you are a well known group of douche-bags, and that's a fact, not an insult.
- onetimer, on 07/15/2008, -30/+1415,000 were expected, and you got in between 5-8 thousand. Hey, that's almost 50%! That would earn you an "F" as a letter grade, but a high "F"!
Oh right, you "talked" to him. Yeah, I totally believe you. I mean, there are plenty of troofers who show up at Ron Paul rallies who actually support someone else... /s
What about these guys?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfXikzkkMZs
I don't see why you take issue with it. I'm trying to spread awareness about the r3[LOVE]uti0n march!
PS: it's nice to see you lecturing people over the internet about "posting random pictures and insulting people". I see you even included an example later down in your post! Otherwise, well, damn you would just look like a hypocritical tool. - Pssdoff, on 07/15/2008, -6/+15I'm not going to debate you on how many people were there, if it really matters to you go ahead and watch the video and count every person who walks by, then add another 1000 for the people who couldn't march but still attended the rally on the lawn. It really doesn't matter.
The random 9/11 truth guy was on the walkway to the left of the center lawn. A man near me mentioned to him that yelling about 9/11 did not help the image of Ron Paul supporters. He said he didn't care, he wasn't there for that, and that he was just there to spread the 9/11 truth message.
Well what about this guy?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJbwc4wm5Y0
PS: I said not to insult random people, you are only a troll and therefore do not apply. - onetimer, on 07/15/2008, -27/+9There is no debate. I'm quoting the folks at the good ol' ronpaulforums who said they talked to police who estimated the march size to be between 5 and 8 thousand folks. Again, that's almost 50%!
I could digg up some posts from folks predicting numbers of 50,000+, but then again, who wants to see that, right? An "F" is still an "F"
I know your folks' definition of a troll is anyone who doesn't join the circle jerk, so that's fine. Though getting on your high horse about not insulting people childishly, then doing the same, then justifying it by claiming they are not a person might make people think your a hypocritical idiot. Of course, you are a 9/11 truther, aren't you? Well, that's all she wrote... - Pssdoff, on 07/15/2008, -5/+13There is a difference between insulting some random person (who has no idea that they are being discussed on the internet) and a full time Digg troll because you have an opportunity to respond.
- Minarchian, on 07/15/2008, -5/+18And how many didn't show up because of 4 bucks a gallon for gas?
I know that was the reason I didn't go. And I bet there was hundreds that didn't go for that reason as well. - Herkimer56, on 07/15/2008, -20/+12Not showing up because gas is four dollars a gallon isn't a reason, it's an excuse. If you really felt that strongly about your so-called "revolution" you would have found a way to be there. But, of course, that might have involved some sort of personal sacrifice on your part. Hypocrite.
- ssn697, on 07/15/2008, -22/+11Why didn't Paul win Iowa? "It was too cold to go out and vote"
Why didn't the march draw even a decent sized crowd? "Gas costs too much"
Man, there sure are a lot of excuses from the lovers of "Freedom and Liberty"... - sugarazor, on 07/16/2008, -12/+6I love when Paul's Padowans talk about "rEVOLution!" and overthrowing the Corporate US Government to take us back to the what the Founding Fathers wanted, but then say stuff like "gas is four dollars a gallon."
Imagine if George Washington said, "well, we would take up arms against the oppressive British, but have you SEEN the cost of horses lately? Hoo-boy, too rich for my blood. But we will be gathering at the local town hall to talk about a revolution and then talk about the Boston Tea Party being an inside job."

Really? The "if you don't support paul you must support McCain" false dichotomy?
Com'n, you can do better than that. - StingingNettle, on 07/15/2008, -12/+12You do love the status quo onetimer. You might as well suppurt McCain.
- onetimer, on 07/15/2008, -20/+13So you replace one unsubstantiated accusation with another.
Here's your problem
You keep making false dichotomies out of things that aren't dichotomies.
For instance, just because someone is opposed to Dr. No-Evolution doesn't mean they automatically support McCain or Obama. Just because someone is opposed to Dr. No-abortion doesn't mean they are for the "status quo". Just because someone is opposed to Dr. We the People act doesn't mean they are "socialists".
I mean, you would call me out if I claimed that all ron paul supporters were also 9/11 troofers, right?
Comn', you can show some intellectual honesty. If you just want to slink away of course, I understand. - StingingNettle, on 07/15/2008, -9/+15Ok, here is also the problem. If I did ask you who or what you were for you wouldn't tell me. I know because I've asked before. Instead you insist upon trolling these posts on digg.
- DreadPirate, on 07/15/2008, -14/+10StingingNettle - so you are going to completely ignore the (very accurate) comments about false dichotomies Onetimer has made?
- onetimer, on 07/15/2008, -22/+11Ok stingingnettle, this is still your problem. My silence isn't an explanation or an excuse that doesn't make you look like a tool for creating those false dichotomies.
One man's trolling is another man's laughing at the paulities. - StingingNettle, on 07/15/2008, -8/+15That's the thing, he'll never say what his position is, so he can just sit there and troll. I've seen others ask and it always ends up a dead end. That just leaves everyone else to infer where he is coming from. Of course he could stop it all, if he would actually answer the question. But he won't.
- onetimer, on 07/15/2008, -22/+11Keep beating that fallacious point in, stingingnettle.
But hey, if it will satisfy you, i'm voting for...uh...

Typical rightard stupidity onetimer's part. THIS is what America is about, not lying about muslims on LGF.
I'm not surprised you fail to get it. If you understood it, you wouldn't be a rightard.
Hey, I see NC is advertising for gays.
Is that what drew you there?
I know you rightards never admit it until the cops show up, but you can tell us.- onetimer, on 07/15/2008, -20/+17That's right! Since I don't support paul, i'm a "right-tard" (but isn't paul the furthest right of all the candidates?), and I also lie about muslims on LGF simply because i'm jewish!
...And you finish the post off with a gay joke. Classy. - card51short, on 07/15/2008, -8/+11just like we support Paul we're all neo nazi woman haters, right, my jewish brother?
- NorthMass, on 07/16/2008, -4/+5CryRightardCry you do not support Ron Paul's message if your are homophobic.
- Mik1984, on 07/16/2008, -5/+2Don't jump to early to conclusions, mentioning the word gay doesn't mean being homophobic.
- NorthMass, on 07/16/2008, -1/+2The way he used the term gay sounded homophobic to me, well hopefully it's just a joke or I misinterpated it.
- DreadPirate, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2NorthMass - CRC doesn't support Ron Paul - he's just looking for any excuse to bash conservatives he can find. Look at his posting history and you'll see it littered with postings even worse than this one.
- onetimer, on 07/15/2008, -20/+17That's right! Since I don't support paul, i'm a "right-tard" (but isn't paul the furthest right of all the candidates?), and I also lie about muslims on LGF simply because i'm jewish!

- Hortnon, on 07/15/2008, -11/+11Defense of Marriage Act
Sanctity of Life Act - quesi, on 07/16/2008, -11/+12Naming two acts does not explain jcm's stance of "Ron Paul, a man with no interest in following the constitution" But, for the sake of pointing out your inaccurate response on behalf of dein bruder- and his original lie... (sarcasm, hahaha)
HR 724 "Defense of Marriage Act".
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c110:1:./tem ...
Dr. Paul did not introduce, but sponsored the Act. True to his word, if the Constitution does not allow it - he won't back it. Changing US Code to have a more Constitutional stance on jurisdiction (States decide, as it should be), is hardly indication of "a man with no interest in following the constitution".
HR 2597 "Sanctity of Life Act"
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c110:3:./tem ...
Dr. Paul introduced this act. True to his word, if the Constitution does not allow it - he won't back it. Changing US Code to have a more Constitutional stance on jurisdiction (States decide, as it should be), is hardly indication of "a man with no interest in following the constitution". Once again, returning the Constitutionally proper rights of jurisdiction to the States by amending US Code.
(1) the Congress declares that--
(A) human life shall be deemed to exist from conception, without regard to race, sex, age, health, defect, or condition of dependency; and
(B) the term `person' shall include all human life as defined in subparagraph (A); and
(2) the Congress recognizes that each State has the authority to protect lives of unborn children residing in the jurisdiction of that State. - Hortnon, on 07/16/2008, -10/+14DOMA does not do what you say it does. It removes the ability of the Federal Government to enforce the Constitutionally-created "Full Faith and Credit Clause". It is a thinly-veiled attempt to stop the 'gay agenda' from spreading. Further, it restricts the Federal Government from EVER recognizing gay marriage even if every state recognized it.
Sanctity of Life Act outlaws abortion, effectively overriding the Supreme Court's Constitutionally granted authority.
Please pull your head out of Paul's ass and get a clue, thanks. - quesi, on 07/16/2008, -9/+9Again, please specifically show - include the text if necessary - that his statement, "Ron Paul, a man with no interest in following the constitution" is correct, or how those Acts are not Constitutional. His stance is fully Constitutional. Your arguments don't support his comment, nor hold much water on their own.
DOMA is what it is, the link was provided. Please explain further.
SOLA doesn't outlaw abortion. That link was also provided. Maybe you could explain further. - Hortnon, on 07/16/2008, -9/+6Well, you're just playing stupid at this point about DOMA. I'm one step away from quoting the bill in my previous post. He supports side-stepping the Constitution by supporting that bill. I don't understand how it could be any clearer.
And yes, SOLA does outlaw abortion. It defines life at conception, making abortion murder, outlawing abortion.
Simple logic. Why am I not surprised... - quesi, on 07/16/2008, -6/+6Both acts return jurisdiction, rightfully, to the States. Congress may do so, Constitutionally. If abortion was being outlawed, they wouldn't want jurisdiction changed. Simple logic - but this has never stopped yous guys.
Reiterating your position has brought nothing new to the discussion.
In the oft repeated words of one of your homiez...
*Yawn*
G'night - Hortnon, on 07/16/2008, -6/+5So you're a complete moron. Right, thanks for proving it further.
I hope you donate all your money to Ron Paul so he can have a nice retirement. You obviously couldn't manage anything productive with it... - quesi, on 07/16/2008, -4/+6Here's your chance to prove me wrong, and you didn't - or couldn't.
You obviously can't prove your point and resort to typical bad mouthing. I guess the abuse you received there in Boys Town must have really messed with your head. Apparently they are also programming you all to hate the United States... Good luck with your mission(s), son. - Hortnon, on 07/16/2008, -3/+4Hey, not my problem you're willfully ignorant. I laid it out as plain as day and you were the typical Ronbot.
Ron Paul thanks you for his retirement. - quesi, on 07/17/2008, -2/+3Still on this one, huh? But still no real answer to the pertinent question.... You fool no one, your ignorance of the Constitution and attempts to smear Ron Paul are a joke. His "leftover" campaign money is being put to good use and towards the cause that you hate. Just a boy, hardly off the teat, and yet you are so full of hate for your country. Did they make you play secret touching games?
- 0Xonox0, on 07/16/2008, -2/+9Which constitution would you be talking about?

- jerrycurley, on 07/16/2008, -22/+4Because it was a non-event that means nothing to the country.
- jocknerd, on 07/16/2008, -0/+7Thats because they are so liberal.
- MikeFallopian, on 07/16/2008, -17/+5Ron Paul got a huge, disproportionate amount of press coverage during his actual campaign (at least during the fall and early winter). People rejected his message and he consequently became a non-story - that's why there was minimal coverage of a few thousand people walking down the street in DC. The annual anti-war and anti-globalism protests that draw much bigger crowds don't get a ton of coverage either.
- secrity, on 07/16/2008, -16/+4His 15 minutes were over months ago,
- jmpeagle, on 07/16/2008, -5/+3probably because it was one of Washington's smaller marches. I was in D.C. at the time and apparently only a few blocks from it and I didn't know this march occurred until now. A few thousand people isn't much of a March by historical standards.

- sportsstar67, on 07/16/2008, -30/+2Why would they want a march in their honor ?? Is this an ego trip for Dr Nut ?? I say it most definitely is, a last hurrah before he retires or croaks

- XXXXXXXXXXXXXX, on 07/16/2008, -60/+5Once again, Paultards use patriotic terms like freedom and liberty to justify Ron Paul and keep their fans enamored. Sounds like how Oceania promoted a dubious war to provide propaganda.

he has said that he is personally against abortion, drugs, etc but believes that is a states issue. (which it is)
I think giving the states the right to vote is as "pro-choice" as you can get.- Suzilla, on 07/16/2008, -10/+12Not a state issue. It's a personal choice. A woman has a right to decide whether or not she wishes to carry a fetus to term or not. If you deny that right, you open the door to all sorts of other rights being denied, and not just to women. Suppose, for example, there is something particular about your blood that makes it vital for someone else. Say, the president of the US must have a monthly transfusion of your blood, or die. There is absolutely NO LAW that says you are required to give your blood, or any other bodily tissue for the sake of keeping another human being alive. The theory that underlies the anti-choice crowd is the same theory that can (and will) be used to deny all of us the right to refuse to give, literally, of ourselves for the sake of another.
- NorthMass, on 07/16/2008, -13/+7When you abort a baby you abort a life, she should of not had sex or used contraceptives if she didn't want a baby. If she got raped or it is endangering her life then fine she can get an abortion, but why can't people have some freaking personal responsibility and not get pregnant if they don't want to?
- sodade, on 07/16/2008, -7/+9States rights = code for I wanna outlaw fags and abortion in my state.
- Technohamster, on 07/16/2008, -5/+9He introduced the Sanctity of Life Act. It's a thinly veiled attempt to legally change "abortion" into "killing a person" nationwide. That's not leaving it up to states.

I've been to tons of demonstrations in DC, and that's kind of a small turnout, especially considering the hype.- moxley, on 07/16/2008, -6/+715 to 20 thousand isn't that small. Despite what CNN reported (which was a flat out lie) you can see in the videos on youtube that there are thousands upon thousands of people there. Was it the million man march? No - but it was no little pep rally either.
- BrandonMills, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1You didn't do 15-20 thousand. You didn't even do 10.

- DrPaul2008, on 07/16/2008, -2/+4It absolutely pathetic. Almost as pathetic as one focusing on how many people are in the crowd while the only leader we have that has been doing his job for 25 years, is describing our problems, and the solutions to those problems. Pathetic, but not for the reasons you're thinking, no doubt.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZ5SVDYBNrY - DrPaul2008, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3Agree with the original design, and intention, of this country or not, it's not a matter of opinion that Ron Paul is the only politician out there that has done what he says he will do for over 25 years, and has done so recognizing what his position is for, and the limits of the authority of government.
I can list countless qualities to the man that are distinctive to him above the other parasites in government, but many of them would require either educating those of you who doubt it, or asking you to take my word on it. The fact that he alone has done what he has said he would do for his entire career is indisputable. So is the fact that he represents what the original intent of the government was, but most of you don't know, or care, about that.
Face it. "Honest politician" is an oxymoron, to the sole exclusion of Ron Paul.

- thekronz, on 07/16/2008, -3/+1Okay. So why didn't they turn out?
Even if you put Paul in the general election, McCain has hundreds of thousands more supporters. Obama has millions more. I mean, I love what Ron Paul wants to do and if given the chance I would vote for him. But I just think its stupid to say he's going to come out of nowhere and win the election. Just because a couple thousand people marched in Washington doesn't mean he's going to make some breakthrough from there.

Oh yeah, but the system is rigged! - freexe, on 07/16/2008, -0/+4How do they rig the fact that so very few people in America vote? A turn out of 50% with Bush heading for a second term and you think vote rigging is your problem?
With all the people that don't vote, you could elect *any* person into power you want. You would need just over half the none voters to turn up.
