I see a problem here... - lacolonel, on 01/30/2008, -17/+125sad state of affairs when Iraq is mentioned more times than children... or education....or economy..or freedom.. was this the state of the union or the state of oil...?
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -13/+74State of Iraq's union apparently.
- krnldmp, on 01/30/2008, -13/+66One word never mentioned: Solar
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -22/+67***** Bush and his corrupt administration.
- CowWithBeef, on 01/30/2008, -10/+55America 65 times, United States 4 times. I think the goal here is to have us believe this is one nation, not a republic of united states. Everything is calculated in politics.

"Iraq": 39
"War": 3
What war? It's not really a _war,_ after all. We're just continuing to be welcomed as liberators. It's really more like a slumber party.

- cnot3, on 01/30/2008, -4/+31Forgot to mention every time Bush gave one of his little laughs. Heh heh.

- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -15/+34lame duck, lameass president, same insincere crap.
only 355 days left for this ***** to be president... - Gryffydd, on 01/30/2008, -3/+20How many times did he mention Osama Bin Laden? Oh...none...just like for the last 2 years. Hmmmmm
- Wonkanobi, on 01/30/2008, -6/+23A chart like that for a Ghouliani speech would've been hilarious. Thank God he's dropping out.
- crossgrain, on 01/30/2008, -3/+17Typo toward the end - should have been "nookuler" (4 times)
- swrostmore, on 01/30/2008, -3/+16war: 3
- swrostmore, on 01/30/2008, -3/+15its not a war; its a "strategic overwatch mission"
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -5/+16You mean we're in an invasion - that means we're invading Iraq forcing democracy at the point of a gun to the citizenry - kids who play games in the streets and parents who mind their own business..
Iraq did nothing to America, nothing at all.
The Taliban which supported Al-Qaeda - the group that did orchestrate multiple attacks against American interests - was in Afghanistan.
You just wait. China will want their property - that's OUR property - because the dollar will become worthless.
When they come get their property because we can't pay them back they will do it in their `democratic` style.
They are already in the Gulf of Mexico - Firehed, on 01/30/2008, -1/+11Would have been pretty easy to put together though. I'm thinking "9/11" mentioned 911 times in 91.1pt would suffice.
- BladeOfAnduril, on 01/30/2008, -7/+17The saddest thing is that the Constitution wasn't mentioned once.
- sequethin, on 01/30/2008, -4/+13Actually it makes sense that Iraq is mentioned more because a great deal of the country is focused on Iraq (and a great deal of us want our troops to COME the ***** HOME from Iraq). And when you think about it, this was his last s.o.t.u. address and what sums up his entire time in office? Iraq. The only word that would have made sense if it were said more than Iraq would be SUCK.
- dtilford, on 01/30/2008, -1/+10Ohhh....so that's what that means.
- billyjack1958, on 01/30/2008, -3/+12Our Constitution says that No taxpayer money should Ever be sent to any foreign nation. It also makes clear that any American individual or company is free to donate money to a foreign cause from their OWN pockets. I am so Sick of driving in American cities and seeing hungry homeless people (many of them children and 25% are vets) while hearing on the radio that we just sent more taxpayer billions to some foreign country or cause. We need our taxpayer money to stay Here, for Us!
- bizkit00, on 01/30/2008, -3/+12congress voted in to declare war? no? oh, then we're not at war.
- helgew, on 01/30/2008, -3/+11America, Iraq, people, Congress, nation, terror
You pick the verbs! - mphree, on 01/30/2008, -5/+13Actually, I'm going to bury you for using 'b4' rather than 'before'.
- cleverhandle, on 01/30/2008, -2/+10this actually came as a surprise to me, i watched the state of the union and i thought bush tried to direct our attention away from the war. i thought he should have actually spent more time on it, because otherwise he was just talking about neutral, relatively unimportant legislation that you would be crazy to oppose, like veteran's care packages.
- cleverhandle, on 01/30/2008, -0/+8actually it was, he talked about appointing supreme court justices with a strict interpretation of the constitution. he spoke about the importance of it being taken literally, as opposed to exploding the text to suit 'judicial whim'
- statusquo80, on 01/30/2008, -2/+10I expect our children to be the priority instead of Iraq. Iraq isnt even a war anyway, its an invasion.
- EricMiIIer, on 07/10/2009, -1/+9Just when you make generalized statements like this the universe will remind you how wrong you are. Great job statusquo80 when the world goes to hell in a handbasket I am going to personally blame you.
- SparkyMaGee, on 01/30/2008, -1/+9Could not find "debt" or "deficit" once.

Sums up this administration's position on Global Warming. Sad that something this huge is not even mentioned. - inactive, on 01/30/2008, -0/+7Time apologizes for not cataloging every common word or word mentioned under 3 times. Those misrepresenting bastadrs.
- cleverhandle, on 01/30/2008, -0/+7the word had to be said 3 times in order to make the list
- Myonosken, on 01/30/2008, -3/+10To be fair, it is a ***** huge issue. Given your country is going down the ***** as a result of it, and Bush is worrying about his legacy, it does kind of make sense in a ***** up way.
- statusquo80, on 01/30/2008, -2/+9The next one cant be any worse!
- silveravnt, on 01/30/2008, -2/+9Agree. We need better apples. I guess they are seasonal?
- trvr, on 01/30/2008, -0/+7To be fair, the Time's website says it only lists words used twice or more. I believe he only said Bin Laden once.
- shakestheclown, on 01/30/2008, -2/+8victory over what, exactly?
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -3/+9Oh, good one..I'm sure the next guy will be "sincere".
- inactive, on 01/30/2008, -5/+11It appears Iraq is more important to this government than people.
- dogstar0125, on 01/30/2008, -0/+6...or "deficit" or "debt". It's funny how prominently "tax" and "fund" featured though.
He also didn't mention China, India, EU, offshoring, outsourcing, recession, depression, inflation, trade deficit, environment, preservation, conservation or efficiency. - sonofblacula, on 01/30/2008, -0/+6Did he say he was a "conservative"? My political leanings are to the left, but I can still call people bleeding heart liberal pussies as well if I think they are acting as such. Don't assume every douchebag you meet is a conservative, or you will find yourself blindsided. Plenty of a-holes are in Greenpeace, you know. Also, how about compassion for America's working poor or the 12% in my state who are jobless with bachelor's degrees? How about compassion for homeless vets and children, those without healthcare or proper education, in THIS country. I think that was what he was asking for. So are you the compassionate, sensitive liberal I've heard about, or just another pompous ass who tries so hard to be politically correct that you are blinded to the real issues?
- Gryffydd, on 01/30/2008, -1/+7No...no I wasn't. I was reading the digg link...
- Gryffydd, on 01/30/2008, -2/+8I suppose they could have done it with just < table> tags....Then it would look great in Netscape Navigator 1.1!
- silveravnt, on 01/30/2008, -1/+6It's why everyone hates him and he knows it.
