- BillE3, on 02/25/2009, -5/+59Ron Paul is probably the only member of congress that has a grasp of economics and how national economics works.
- PresidentWikis, on 02/25/2009, -5/+49"This is not going as planned" - what some relevant information slipped through your airwaves?
"So when something really substantial is happening, we don't have to interrupt them" . Forget CNBC, because they are blatantly hypocritical. They obviously didn't want anymore TRUTH broadcast at the moment. - emmettgolf, on 02/25/2009, -5/+37Our right to a free press oppressed right before our eyes. This is what happens when major corporations and banks are allowed to own the media. These poor journalist entertainers don't even know what is happening to them.
- zephc, on 02/25/2009, -6/+36***** CNBC talking heads - RP and the other bloke both had two minute opening remarks. Yes, they don't have to show them, but to dismiss beforehand them as inconsequential is irresponsible journalism.
- kemp34, on 02/25/2009, -4/+28The main society-wide problem we face is due to too much debt and too little savings.
You seem to propose more debt and less savings as a solution to our economic problems.
Do you not see the fallacy of this position? - kemp34, on 02/25/2009, -5/+26Your response proves the saying:
Don't talk to fools, they scorn the wisdom of your words.
Your post says absolutely nothing of substance. Ron Paul spoke on the history of 20th Century monetary policy and systems. To you that is "talking long and saying nothing".
Is your goal to prove your inanity? - Nickolassc, on 02/26/2009, -1/+17"We can't re-inflate the bubble by artificially creating credit out of thin air and calling it capitol". Preach on good Dr. Paul, preach on!
- CoolHandLuke70, on 02/25/2009, -5/+20He proved his inanity a long time ago but then again there are always new Digg users! I am bewildered at what he is really trying to achieve. For someone who keeps repeating that Ron Paul is irrelevant, he sure seems to troll his way on to most of the Ron Paul submissions. Oh the irony!
"talk that long and say nothing" ?! WOW!! Noliberties should look in the mirror and recalibrate. - Alderon, on 02/25/2009, -7/+22That my friends is a great opening remark.
The real roflmao is the id10Ts at the end of the clip. Can we say "tools"? Yes we can.
It begs to ask does CNBC stand for:
Communist
National
Bullsh*t
Comments? - QuantumBios, on 02/26/2009, -2/+15"We're gonna take a break so that when something really substantial is happening, we can come back."
Something substantial DID happen you talking head hack. Some TRUTH was actually broadcast over the airwaves! Keep it up, people are starting to see through you more and more each day. And when the time comes, "I was just doing what my producers told me to do" isn't going to save you from decorating a lamppost. - inactive, on 02/25/2009, -4/+17Believe me, inflation hurts the poor, and it's coming, just like the good doctor said, if they try to print capital at the Fed. How is that a good thing?
- Bilabrin, on 02/25/2009, -2/+14Not nearly as bad a standard of living decrease we are in for. It's like saying...If I withdraw from Herion then I'm gonna feel like total *****. Yup, but your tolerance is building up anyway so you have to take it just to not feel like you are dying. So...if we keep putting off the pain, when will we ever detox?
- inactive, on 02/25/2009, -2/+13While I would certainly agree with your description of "irresponsible journalism," that wasn't what came to mind. I am so *****' used to this whiny ***** they spew whenever they inadvertently broadcast something sane that my first thought when I saw it was: "usual media bias against Dr. Paul, again, par for the course..." And I was actually thinking of not-mentioning it, but you're right. Whether it's bias or crappy "journalism" or both, it needs to be discussed SOMEwhere, and I suspect this thread on Digg's going to be the only place...
- cyrus255, on 02/25/2009, -1/+12Yea, my God!! They basically said that the people who disagree with BushBama fascism are irrelevant and were angry that Ron Paul foiled their "plan".
See the media talking heads there had a PLAN on what to say, and since Ron Paul told the truth, they weren't prepared for it! They were probably hoping the congressmen would just reiterate the same propaganda talking points, then they'd go over them and help promote it further. - PeppermintPig, on 02/25/2009, -3/+13Politically speaking, you're saying a man appointed by the POTUS has more authority than a US Congressman????
More power, perhaps, which means Bernanke can get away with not answering Paul's questions honestly. - inactive, on 02/25/2009, -2/+11Communitarian
Nationalized
Banking
Cartel - BillE3, on 02/26/2009, -1/+10When Obama talks negatively about the economy and how we are in a state of emergency and crisis; it is good. When Ron Paul does it, he is bad. Obama uses negative talk to get support for more and bigger government; good. Ron Paul uses negative talk to warn of the dangers inherent with more and bigger government; bad.
Amusing and telling. - inactive, on 02/26/2009, -2/+10I love watching Ron Paul, especially when he takes on the Fed!
- Bilabrin, on 02/25/2009, -3/+10Once again...empty insults, no points made....you lose again but thanks for staying at the table, we get a kick out of laughing at you!
- SchmuckofNI, on 02/25/2009, -4/+10I see you are practicing the most well practiced freedom in America: the freedom to do nothing and bitch.
- Bilabrin, on 02/25/2009, -4/+10You seem to give the congressman a lot of credit all of a sudden.
- cyrus255, on 02/25/2009, -5/+10It should be no surprise your username is "NoLibertarians" since you are obviously against freedom. Crawl back to your progressive fascist cave. Republicans, Democrats, it's the same dictatorship. Only liberty minded Americans can stop them, and you sir, stand against Liberty.
- Bilabrin, on 02/25/2009, -3/+8Or maybe he just has no respect for the congressman's position, just as we have no respect for yours.
To be thought of as a fool by a fool is a great honor. - AnotherDiggGuy, on 02/26/2009, -2/+7Ron Paul understands economics more than the entire Federal Reserve board combined. 100x more than the President or his staff. (The President said he will cut the deficit in 1/2, but apparently not before quadrupling it first).
Ron Paul started his political career in 1971, the day after Nixon took the dollar completely off gold. Yep, that guy probably has done his homework on the economy and the dollar.
If Ron Paul isn't offed by some threatened goon, I'd bet he will have a good shot at becoming president in 2012, after everything has fallen apart. - maxtangent, on 02/25/2009, -8/+12It might in the short term, but in the long term it will create more employment and people will have real reserves for investing in business.
That will hurt the corporations and put the power to affect the economy back in the hands of the masses.
How is that a bad thing? - boulder555, on 02/26/2009, -1/+4 @NoLibertarian -"These guys just humor Paul."
I say you're right and THAT's their management technique. They IGNORE his points because they cannot adequately address them -- and to do so would publicly acknowledge that fact. The scam they are perpetrating cannot bear the light of day; like 'the emperors new clothes', the fiction must go unchallenged or it falls apart. - harrisbradley, on 02/27/2009, -1/+4Those anchors are just dripping with doucheyness, how smug.
- inactive, on 02/26/2009, -1/+3No but you missed all the points of this thread completely. We know you hate RP so just be honest and say that ... Nah! Just keep doing what you are doing.
- Waiting2awake, on 02/26/2009, -1/+3It isn't a liberal or conservative thing, it isn't a republican or democrat thing, it isn't a right or left thing...
It is a Freedom Vs State Authority thing. All the other terms, liberal, democrat, republican, conservative, etc, etc, etc are only used to divide us. - boulder555, on 02/26/2009, -1/+3NoLibertarians views, whether we like it or not, ARE mainstream; and it is just such dismissive Media commentary as this that ensures it is so. Hmmm. perhaps NoLib is hoping to be discovered. He'll need a source of income soon when the economy collapses because his heroes are doing what he thinks they should. He can point to his diligence on Digg, fighting tooth and nail to convince the community of Pauls irrelevance -- in his resume.<g>
- themikeb, on 02/27/2009, -0/+1Yes, they know. They are promised that they will keep their jobs for reading scripted pre digested "news/lies/halftruths"
KILL YOUR TV, nothing but propaganda! - AnotherDiggGuy, on 02/26/2009, -1/+2Yes Ron Paul, don't be so negative. Be like your president and tell the masses what makes them feel comfortable. Don't bother telling people how it is, just lie.
- inactive, on 02/26/2009, -1/+1I can only imagine how well he'd fit in with the rest of the MSM. Maybe Hannity needs another irrelevant sidekick.
- brad3378, on 02/27/2009, -1/+1So are we better off deflating the bubble?
How low can we take it? If crime runs rampant through the streets will our mission be accomplished? - Patriots2, on 03/01/2009, -0/+0Amazing! How dare one of our public officials speak. Give us the lying bankers! Substandard is correct. What is even more interesting is CNBC's Admission, they are not reporting the news, but managing it.
- mosesmarimo, on 02/26/2009, -2/+1Politics is not for the level head rationale dudes. You have to ***** on your arse and promise people the moon if you want to win!
- Corrosionx, on 02/27/2009, -2/+1If Ron Paul could end the Federal government tomorrow, he would, and he wouldn't care about his own job.
- Ciryon, on 02/26/2009, -4/+2This is what most liberals can not comprehend - they do not understand the basics of economy. It's like creationists who do not understand evolution.
- brad3378, on 02/26/2009, -4/+1"Let them Fail" applies to everybody except the person saying it.
Do we really expect voters in distressed areas to say
"I need to lose my job so the economy can rebuild itself"? - NoLibertarians, on 02/25/2009, -10/+7Few respect his position, or did you miss the primaries?
- NoLibertarians, on 02/25/2009, -10/+6My point was quite clear. These guys just humor Paul
- Hortnon, on 02/25/2009, -10/+6"obviously against freedom"
Substantiate your assertion - nymphetamine, on 02/26/2009, -7/+2Ron Paul?!?! FAP FAP FAP
- NoLibertarians, on 02/25/2009, -14/+5Nah, that's a conspiracy theory. I love freedom, I just realize how much we have and don't nit pick ever damn little thing that comes down the pike. I'm Ok with Libertarians generally, just not in leadership positions. They are naive weak leaders at best. Basically the do nothing crowd
- NoLibertarians, on 02/25/2009, -14/+5Nope, just spreading the word. But maybe you do understand all the freedoms we have and just like to do nothing but bitch. If you're not happy here you have the freedom to Move!
- NoLibertarians, on 02/25/2009, -23/+10What a negative guy. he starts by giving the number released for consumer confidence and then says he "thinks" it's overstated. That a boy Paul, be as negative as you can. Try and incite as much fear as possible and maybe the collapse you pray for could happen.
- Ralphdraw3, on 02/25/2009, -21/+8So The Great Paul is recommending a huge retraction in the economy: where people save a lot more, spend a lot less and credit for business and investment is scarce???
This of course means - a drop in the standard of living and high unemployment etc.. - NoLibertarians, on 02/25/2009, -19/+6Sure it does. He has great exchanges with all the other panelist then has Paul feed him a bunch of crap, to which he admirably holds his tongue knowing Paul is not an important congressman
- NoLibertarians, on 02/25/2009, -28/+11Only Paul can talk that long and say noting. I give these guys he questions credit for not just calling him a dunce. They are very patient with the old man and his of the wall ideas
