Its very wrong, unethical, & immoral but that never seems to stop them from doing it. For instance George Washington did tell lies & never cut down a Cherry tree, but that's what I was taught in public school. And the saying that history repeats itself if we don't learn from it is absolutely true & very critical, but if you want to brainwash the masses, rewrite the history text books & they will not know any better.
