- inactive, on 09/08/2008, -379/+2428If you want MrBabyMan Permabanned, Digg up my comment.
If you want MrBabyMan to remain on Digg, bury my comment. - borez, on 09/08/2008, -20/+708I must admit, I'm sick to death of the front page being invaded by just a few submitters when it's supposed to be a social news site.
But there's a very easy fix for this: Limit the amount of stories that can be submitted to say one an hour per user and implement in your algorithm a metric that looks at who is digging a submission, and if the same bunch of diggers keep appearing to have dugg the same peoples submissions before the vast majority get on board a story, then hold it from the front page.
I understand that it's a good thing for friends to Digg other Friends stories, but as it stands with these power users, it's not digging, it's ***** trolling, and it's not on. - zeyad, on 09/07/2008, -42/+729THE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT!
- MikeSetera, on 09/07/2008, -51/+709MrBabyBAN
- Red1Delta, on 09/07/2008, -61/+640Why keep someone around who is corrupting the system? Ban MrBabyMan.
- punaninja, on 09/07/2008, -96/+657Or simply put a limit on how many articles you can digg per day. I read maybe 10-15 articles in a day, digging maybe half. We rarely need to digg 20+articles a day.
MrBabyman, you should at least put a comment on this subject and explain. - cmFd, on 09/07/2008, -51/+514MrBabyMan is a digg parasite.
- Rev0lver, on 09/08/2008, -28/+435MrBabyMan killed my dad and raped my dog!
- CindyMindy, on 09/07/2008, -56/+346GTFO OF MY DIGG!
- zakfitch, on 09/07/2008, -49/+313Soon MrBabyMan may start selling advertising to companies! Keep digg free!
- drexebo, on 09/08/2008, -11/+236DOWN WITH THE DIGGTATORSHIP
- IG64, on 09/08/2008, -3/+213Because we mean business.
- MikeSetera, on 09/08/2008, -31/+241Looks like the BabyMan Bury Brigade has arrived.
- ElBeh, on 09/08/2008, -18/+224I don't think MBM should be banned, but I think Digg should be the following.
- The current algorithm prevents the same domain name from reaching the front page too often - so why not do that with users? The algorithm should prevent making MBM reach the front page X amount of times in Y days (this should also apply to all users, of course)
- Up to four submissions per 24 hours, no exception.
- Users can only Digg something like thirty articles an hour.
Any other ideas? - inactive, on 09/08/2008, -6/+210MrBabyMan isn't real, he's a program written by Kevin Rose. When have you ever saw both of them at the same place at the same time? Never, that's when.
- HxChris91, on 09/08/2008, -18/+203Why is this in World & Business?
- stix213, on 09/08/2008, -5/+172MrBabyMan is a perl script
- hyperkill, on 09/08/2008, -24/+179This picture is a duplicate of one already on the front page. But I'll digg it anyway because MrBabyMan deserves to be banned :).
- inactive, on 09/08/2008, -7/+143submitters should be anonymous… at least until an article reaches the front page anyway…
ps.
he's (kinda) commented on this whole thing
http://twitter.com/MrBabyMan - afruff23, on 09/08/2008, -18/+152What if I want him banned but able to come back? Do I report you in that case?
- werries, on 09/08/2008, -1/+109The internet is serious business.
- lukis100, on 09/08/2008, -19/+123You do realize this is not how digg works right?
- roxgod666, on 09/08/2008, -7/+106Either we're dealing with a bot, or the biggest dork to ever roam the earth
- doctordbx, on 09/08/2008, -2/+99I'm surprised MrBabyMan didn't submit this himself.
- drgmdp, on 09/08/2008, -0/+97sorry, the dog one was me
- srujanlive, on 09/07/2008, -21/+117Rather, I would like a system where you actually have to click through the submission before digging. and maybe a time limit after you have clicked through to make sure you actually read/saw the submitted page.
- juneof44, on 09/08/2008, -2/+98Digg isn't the first place for users see these stories/images/videos. If I saw and liked something from, say, BoingBoing first, I might digg it when I see it posted here without visiting the linked article again.
It's also possible that their algo weights clicks on the Digg buttons embedded in articles differently. - mbonzo531, on 09/08/2008, -4/+96rable rable rable!
- ryanmct, on 09/08/2008, -4/+94Can I want him banned, while still burying your comment?
- inactive, on 09/08/2008, -11/+100If you ban him I am nearly 100% certain that he is just going to come back with ten accounts to keep from getting banned but to accommodate his interests. In fact there is no way to prove that MrBabyMan does not have ten accounts in the top twenty accounts on Digg at this very moment.
- ramonathebrave, on 09/08/2008, -6/+87He's a professional Digger. But so are all the other top Diggers: Maki, InsaneCain, MK Lopez, Sir Popper... They're doing it for a living, obviously. Digg has to like that, because they've retooled the recommedation/upcoming stories to further favor professional Diggers. Look at the front page. 99% of stories are submitted by 10-20 people. They may even be on Digg's payroll. Digg is about as democratic as Zimbabwe.
- inactive, on 09/08/2008, -6/+83Or, see if we can't just police it ourselves.
We all know the top 5 diggers that seem to submit every ***** thing that makes front page.
For the next week as an experiment, I'm burying every single one of them. Let's get a few people doing this and see if it helps. - sgglynn, on 09/08/2008, -5/+78Soon? People like him already have been for quite some time
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 09/08/2008, -10/+79MrBabyMan's punk ass won't respond to this, he'll just pretend nothing is happening.
- 4d669, on 09/08/2008, -9/+77This my friends is an example of how America works. It starts as a capitalist democracy with free trade and liberty for the people, but a select few use this to their advantage and become extremely powerful. Then, these people, who are less than 1% of the complete population control everything and we are left with the illusion of freedom and choice when in reality it's worse than a dictatorship.

- inactive, on 09/08/2008, -5/+56QuadZero posted a quote that wasn't obviously troll-like because he's talking about something he knows all about: having multiple accounts to game the system.
- drexebo, on 09/08/2008, -10/+60Let's burn this Diggtatorship to the ground.
- JEWestbrookJR, on 09/08/2008, -10/+59The worst part is that he actually has a family... which he obviously must ignore to fulfill his retarded obsession with corrupting digg.
