- badwithcomputer, on 06/10/2009, -2/+28i heard subs back then had poorly sliced meats and weren't even toasted.
- foxtrot3, on 06/10/2009, -4/+17That's where all Russian subs end up.
- barbapapa78, on 06/10/2009, -0/+12Here are some images: http://www.aftonbladet.se/nyheter/article5348024.a ...
- RicardoWilliams, on 06/10/2009, -0/+10that is really cool, its always interesting to see what they uncover at the bottom of the sea
- aknolp, on 06/10/2009, -0/+9I was really hoping for more pictures
- inactive, on 06/10/2009, -0/+6I read an interview with this J.A. Eckerman before in an old newspaper. And he swears he saw it resurfaced briefly to release it's sea-men before plowing to the bottom of the abyss.
- Spire3660, on 06/10/2009, -1/+4The Russians built pretty much everything like that. Their jet fighters were always simple, sturdy, FAST, but generally lacked refinement or technical advantages.
- Homerr, on 06/10/2009, -2/+4I've been in a couple of US subs from the 50's and 60's and the 'Russian Cobra' sub that was commissioned in 1974. The US subs seemed era-appropriate for systems and crew comfort, but the innards of the Russian one looked like it was from the 1930's. I'd guess that the one in the article was quite primitive, even for its day.
- americanoboy, on 06/10/2009, -1/+3there's always that one white trash piece of ***** who votes republican and attends all gun shows in every thread that is trying to compare military hardware.
- robdiggity, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1"The long-lost wreck was missing for 69 years until a team of Swedish divers..."
Intersting anniversary. And no doubt a Swedish Bikini team. - DarkKnight5590, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1When I first glanced at the title I thought it said Longest World War II sub.
- zephypyre, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1Where's a Shaftoe when you need one?

http://www.clarkssandals.net/ - PsychoPNut, on 06/10/2009, -1/+2having been on a sub, we get the lobster and steak while the others get the leftovers.
- DrJG, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1What about the u2 boats that used to patrol the east coast of US, weren't any sunk, or later found? There were some stories of people who escaped via some to somewhere south of Panama, too. Or perhaps the escapes were in routine airplanes and the boats sunk had only the regular crews, with some writer putting the two together.
- PsychoPNut, on 06/10/2009, -1/+2when countries lose ships, subs and other equipment, it's a race to who can get it first.
- inactive, on 06/10/2009, -2/+2I wonder what broght her down. Was it one of her own torpedoes or did she hit a mine?
