Latest Bin Laden Video Is a Forgery
boomantribune.com — All references to current events, such as the 62nd anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing of Japan, and Sarkozy and Brown being the leaders of France and the UK, occur when the video is frozen! The words spoken when the video is in motion contain no references to contemporary events and could have been made before the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

- skunkman62, on 10/10/2007, -29/+8no, you shut up...1st
- boobees, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3They taped it in Cheney's secret cave below the white house. I was wondering what those door sized safes were all about.
ooooooor its an old tape that was dubbed over by a different person impeech- Godlike, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Can you imagine the media insanity if OBL really was found in one of Cheney's man-sized safes in the white house? And then bush is like, hey hes our old friend someone has to help him and he just turned up one night talkin about the wife...

- SAOSiN, on 10/10/2007, -4/+54then use the thumb if you feel that way!
- NoStoppingUs, on 10/10/2007, -52/+22you know, ive heard so many conspiracy theorists say "bin laden never claimed responsibility for 9/11 attacks!!11!!1"
but clearly, within the first 2 minutes, he does just that (again). when one theory goes to *****, you nutjobs look for another one until its disproved, and on and on and on. it's unfortunate that your hatred for george w. bush supersedes your ability to face reality. this goes to about 90% of digg as well. you people are pathetic, and I'm ashamed to live in a country full of complete imbeciles. in time, you will regret your ignorance.- Charlotte_Web, on 10/10/2007, -37/+8What has the libs up in arms this time, and why they feel they MUST prove it's a forgery, is that Bin Laden comes off as sounding sympathetic to the Democratic party.
This isn't the kind of publicity they want for their party platform going into a presidential election.
I wonder who Bin Laden is going to endorse in the primaries... Hillary? Obama? Edwards? Kucinich?- 0zzy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Huh? He said everyone is corrupt in America and we elected the democrats to get us out of Iraq and because of special interest, they haven't don't *****. How is he sounding like he supports the democrats?
- GawtMilk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Agreed. He sounds like he hates America, Democrats and Republicans alike.
- dopplerdog, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Given that George W has played right into Osama's hands, I'd argue that OBL will be endorsing the candidate who most avidly supports the war in Iraq.
- 0zzy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Huh? He said everyone is corrupt in America and we elected the democrats to get us out of Iraq and because of special interest, they haven't don't *****. How is he sounding like he supports the democrats?
- DavidBGie, on 10/10/2007, -19/+12Bin Laden is using a lot of the Democrats talking points. I think that if you are a Democrat you have to be asking yourself "Am I on the right team?" If the Republicans say "White!" the democrats have to say "Black!". What if the correct answer is "White" (or even gray)?? Disagreeing on everything will eventually destroy the Democrats.
- hypertension, on 10/10/2007, -10/+5You make a good point, and I'm sorry to see that you were dug down. Democratic leadership in the US is overwhelmingly negative, and oftentimes seems to hope for bad outcomes in order to capitalize (win) off of them. Simply ignoring this trend and attacking those who bring it up is further negativity that avoids a solution, and symptomatic of this problem.
Perhaps it's time for a new Democratic party that focuses on making positive solutions and alternatives, instead of being whiny brats that simply scream (or pretend to scream) "no" to everything Republican, without putting forth any solutions of their own.
Case in point -- the "no war" crowd who, when asked to provide an alternative to war, would simply say, "I don't know! That's the Republicans job to figure out!"

- dmjarrington, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2"in time, you will regret your ignorance."
You know what they say... When you're pointing your finger at someone you're also pointing three more back at yourself... Consider that the next time you choose to defecate on someone's view of the world.
- Charlotte_Web, on 10/10/2007, -37/+8What has the libs up in arms this time, and why they feel they MUST prove it's a forgery, is that Bin Laden comes off as sounding sympathetic to the Democratic party.
- orxor, on 10/10/2007, -11/+31No, Dick Cheney made the video.
- heystoopid, on 10/10/2007, -14/+4CIA are to smart for that , it was the other foolish brainless idiot in the White House that ordered it to be released , to bolster the propagandas and lies that emerges from it's lips ever time it utters a sound .
- rcook18, on 10/10/2007, -7/+7Most likely, Fox News made the video.
- pgup, on 10/10/2007, -53/+19Shut up
- hiscity, on 10/10/2007, -12/+209It means that OBL is just a puppet now, much like Fidel Castro, which is no surprise.
If he were able, he'd be turning out interview videos often to stir up muslim and mid-east militants.- tekrat, on 10/10/2007, -16/+4At most I think this is only meant to be a trigger message. Sleeper cells AB1through BD8: target such and such media outlet with a story about Muslim abuse. At the least it was meant to say 'I OBL and Allah is making me younger (look at my nifty black beard) and more powerful on the anniversary of 9/11.'
- joel2600, on 10/10/2007, -10/+142Exactly. The real OBL actually had ***** to say.
From a post 9/11 interview: "the battle has moved to inside America" .. "I tell you, freedom and human rights in America are doomed," .. "The U.S. government will lead the American people in -- and the West in general -- into an unbearable hell and a choking life."
(http://archives.cnn.com/2002/US/01/31/gen.binladen.interview/) ... The real OBL knew we were all ***** long before many of us even realized us and even tried to tell us that.
It's also interesting to note another interview that he gave to a newspaper in pakistan (http://www.robert-fisk.com/usama_interview_ummat.htm) ... which is pretty dead on.
Also in special interest is the fact that in both of these interviews Osama denies any involvement in the 9/11 attacks. It would seem that if he really wanted to get some sort of jihad going that he would take responsibility for the attacks and try and get some support. RIGHT? this also fits very well with the fact that the FBI has stated that they have "no hard evidence linking OBL with the 9/11 attacks" and a look at his wanted poster will show the same thing. bush co. is the puppet master and he's having us chase boogeymen while he picks our pockets.
the propaganda machine would have us all believe "they hate us for our freedom" ... true, there are a lot of extremists out there, and if you listen to the real bin laden, in his letter to america (http://observer.guardian.co.uk/worldview/story/0,,845725,00.html) ... he tells us exactly what their beef with us is. (hint: it's not our freedom).
i really hope everyone takes some time to read the links above to pay attention to what the real bin laden has to say so we can all put things in perspective so that we can realize who the real enemy is.- fwedwic, on 10/10/2007, -6/+35dude, nice post =)
- Pritchard, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22Definitely a great post. Digg this person up. I feel the exact same way about this entire situation. This might be a little off as a response to such a great post above, but I think it's time that intellectuals stop playing the game of, "Those who are best to have power are those who don't wish to seek it." We as a nation need to study more, and understand people better, and see past propaganda. We can't just do it at home and in web blogs any more. We need to get into politics. Not to have the power for ourselves, but to spread the truth and acceptance of all beliefs (even those who disagree with us) across the nation.
- wburglett, on 10/10/2007, -11/+2Absolutely, positively correct. However, I still don't know how or more why this could have been faked...
- joel2600, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6thanks everyone. sorry about the links, for everyone not aware, please remove the ')' at the end to make them work.
also for those that aren't aware http://sept15.org - donwilson2, on 10/10/2007, -9/+1I'd rather be a "tool" for the "machine".
God I hate those stupid terms, just like "sheep". - GCarden, on 10/10/2007, -14/+2Kinda funny how Osama, whose home nation of Saudi Arabia won't let women drive or vote, says "freedom and human rights in America are doomed..."
Your perspective on what is the dismantlement of freedom ("Oh noes! The CIA knows I borrowed Clifford the Big Red Dog from the library!") and Osama's ("Why are all these non-Muslims still alive?!!") are rather different. Just ask yourself, who would rather see you killed? Our president or Osama bin Laden?
Go ahead, get it over with and digg me down.- danarama, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8you live in the united states of saudi arabia...your prez is business buddies with the entire bin ladin family, the saudis contribute like 10% of the entire american economy.
- brufleth, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I actually won't dig you down because I'm still not sure what your point is. The original poster was just linking to some content that was directly from OBL. I don't think he was trying to justify any of the things OBL has promoted and I would certainly hope our president doesn't want to see any of us killed.
It really doesn't hurt to stop listening to the "freedom hater" rhetoric and actually listen to what inflammatory propaganda is being used to motivate people to attack the US. If it is in fact US imperialism and attacks on their culture than maybe we could tone that down and we wouldn't be generating enemies faster than we can cluster bomb them. - GeneralFault, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Ok. Wish granted. Dugg down because you don't understand that some of us read above the "Clifford the Big Red Dog" level. Some of us study engineering principals even though we are not engineers. Some of us are interested in Muslim and Christian values even though we are not Muslim nor Christian. Some of us are curious about the world around us and ask questions that others would not like us to find the answers for. I am upset that the CIA knows what I may be reading while possibly not understanding my motivations for reading those things. I am worried that my interests may one day coincide with the interests of what they consider to be terrorists or dissidents, even though I have no desire to be either.
- LucasKane, on 10/10/2007, -5/+2Except for the video that was on Al-Jazeera saying he was expecting the 4th plane to hit and his brothers in arms were dissapointed with him for telling them it would happen and not delivering?

- TomPlansMedia, on 10/10/2007, -3/+206not to be a dick, but this seems pretty ***** obvious when you watch the video. there's no way the CIA and the media watched this and didn't think anything of it. i really hope this is not the original version of the video. anyone can take an old video of someone, pause it, say some recent stuff, and then play the rest of it. professional forensic video experts HAVE to be able to spot that.
- o2pb, on 10/10/2007, -3/+25Exactly... which is why they didn't go to extreme measures to fake the actual speech, because exprts will know its fake. If you pause the video, and keep talking.... there is nothing for experts to figure out, since you are not creating any new visual information.
- theright, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21It is also possible to analyze the audio track, bear in mind. There are people out there analyzing these videos who will know if audio has been dubbed in at a later date. There are people who know bin Laden's voice and speech patterns like the back of their hand, and will be able to tell in an instant if anything is amiss.
- Terr01, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Who, the League of Justice?
- whoaohh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Well, you know, George Bush does have Shiite for brains.
- Terr01, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Who, the League of Justice?

- joel2600, on 10/10/2007, -4/+39i think they make these fake videos real horrible on purpose with tons of errors, so everyone that looks at it can spot all the obvious "what the ***** is that" moments .... because if they take the time to do a really good fake video and they slip up somewhere miniscule, then we all know for sure that it's a fake. if they make it so piss poor that we're all just like "what the hell", then maybe this gives them an edge. ... kinda like how the zapruder film was doctored, but it took years and some new tools to figure out some things.
it's also like bush not getting impeached.... he's done such a horrible job and ***** over the country so many times, it's hard to even pick a place to start. - JulioJuliopolis, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Umm... the CIA created this video.
- hiphoc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I had a feeling the video was faked. The timing with was just too good. Why whould Bin Laden put out a tape to help his biggest enemy boost support at home. Also the beard, cutting your beard and dying it is a no no where he is from. The beard also looks lopsided as if it was glued on wrong. But untill I came on Digg I had not idea about the tape pausing. most people dont. A tape is released, the media shows it then tells you what the government says that Bin Laden said. How many fox viwers are gonna watch the whole tape. I have never watched a whole tape of Bin *****. I will know, why, I dont trust the media or this government. And that is the way it should be, the way our founding fathers wanted it.
- arconat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6This sort of thing is nothing new and is no great surprise:
The people who created this video
= the people who produce the news
= the people who run both political parties
= the people who had reasons to invade Iraq in the first place (no, not oil, you dummies)...
- o2pb, on 10/10/2007, -3/+25Exactly... which is why they didn't go to extreme measures to fake the actual speech, because exprts will know its fake. If you pause the video, and keep talking.... there is nothing for experts to figure out, since you are not creating any new visual information.
- anogenic, on 10/10/2007, -24/+433Osama is probably dead, US won't admit it because they will lose an excuse to fight their "war on terror", al qaeda wont admit it because they will no longer have their emblematic leader.
- norman619, on 10/10/2007, -22/+58Really? This may come as a shock to you but Osama and crew aren't the only game in town when it comes to terrorists. Plus the death of Osama changes nothing. His organization/group didn't die with him. They aren't centralized. they are decentralized as per the CIA training they recieved during their fight with the Russians.
- howea, on 10/10/2007, -3/+34What organization? ... Al Qaeda is an old CIA codeword for their sponsored training bases (Al Qaeda = "The Base" in Arabic) to deal with the Soviets in Afghanistan. Once the Soviets pulled out a whole lot of dis-enfranchised Islamic guerillas started to push their Ideologies elsewhere.
- sd12013, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Doesn't putting a name and a face to the enemy help people get behind "the cause" to keep fighting? It's much harder for Americans to get behind a faceless group that is scattered everywhere. The U.S. absolutely knows this "new" video is faked but it doesn't work in their favour to say so. You can obviously see that the video is very old just by comparing images of OBL in this video to more recent videos. He's at least 10-15 years younger! - if that's even him!
- JulioJuliopolis, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4This may come as a shock to you but if there really were terrorists, they would be attacking us. Not waiting years and years until the time is right and we let our guard down. They would just go pick up a weapon, go into a crowd, and use it. And no amount of Bush wiretapping or protester beating could prevent it. Since they aren't attacking us, obviously they don't exist.
- MonkeyHugger, on 10/10/2007, -29/+3Wow that's a great scientific, factual conclusion you've come to there. So what evidence do you have he's dead? Oh yeah, silly me, the fact the colour of his beard has changed is all the proof we need!
- Gerbil_Juice, on 10/10/2007, -2/+24Actually, all he really said is something that is a possibility and gave an explanation as to why we wouldn't know if he was right. He made no claims of facts.
- norman619, on 10/10/2007, -5/+10Actually he over estimates the importance of Osama to the movement. His importance to US politicians as a symbol is greater than his importance to the many terrorist groups. This new video demonstrates how these groups understand this all too well.
- Gerbil_Juice, on 10/10/2007, -2/+24Actually, all he really said is something that is a possibility and gave an explanation as to why we wouldn't know if he was right. He made no claims of facts.

- cptn_cardboard, on 10/10/2007, -2/+23Yeah, I'm pretty sure hes dead. This isn't official, but some reporters have said that he had Diabetes and Renal Failure, which causes him to be on a dialysis machine and take insulin shots or he'll die. That seems pretty hard to pull off when you're livin in a cave. Plus, there was a time when he was releasing video tapes, then all of a sudden he stopped, until now.
- Hananda, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Mm. He's a fairly popular figure, and he's got a personal fortune of, what, $40 million or so. No reason why he couldn't be in a mansion somewhere in Pakistan or a number of other countries, with a few personal doctors and dialysis equipment.
- norman619, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7He would have been MUCH easier to find if that were the case.

- XedLos, on 10/10/2007, -4/+21Dont use "U.S." its the Bush administration the majority of the U.S. wants nothing to do wiht it
- norman619, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7The majority of the US also doesn't quite understand the problem. ***** most have no clue about the history behind what is going on. The knowledge of most people only goes as far back as 911 and the previous attack on the WTC. I feel this hardly makes the general public qualified to make an INFORMED decision on this subject.
- anogenic, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2The Bush administration or the next presidents administration... it'll be the same BS. I will use the U.S. because it will always be the same show, the president is just a puppet.

- JulioJuliopolis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2No, but it helps to keep the propaganda up so that the soldiers don't en masse all of the sudden pretty much refuse to fight anymore.

I can see how a regular Joe could miss this, but the entire MSM? God they suck.- Alegoo92, on 10/10/2007, -5/+10Me and my brother noticed this immediately, we figured he actually dyed his hair or it's not really him anymore (dead or ill).

- tehpwnrate, on 10/10/2007, -7/+6Actually, it's well documented that he regularly changes his beard color. For example, from another recent video:
http://i7.tinypic.com/3y2eg76.jpg- ozzie252, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9These 2 pictures are not of the same man. Eyebrow shape is different, guy on the left has straight eyes wheras the guy on the right's eyes slant down at the edges, and the tip of the nose is different.

- SheilaNoya, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11A also find it hillarious that right after Patreus gives his "testimony" to Congress, he will immediately appear in a one hour exclusive interview on Fox News with Brit Hume. Sure, like THAT is going to give any credibility to his report!
- levintofu, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2It's nice to see someone lese connect the dots. This video has Bush smelly tainted fingers all over it. It's not even a conspiracy. It would be a piece of cake to pull off, and it would be so easy even a cave man or even Fox News could do it. "We will plant or leak an altered video through a "foreign" news service and you give use an exclusive" Done deal!!

- expat001, on 10/10/2007, -5/+15It is a blog started by a bunch of people who found out daily Kos is a piece of ***** website. they realized that Markos is no ta progressive yet a centrists and former Republican and that his website has become an echo chamber and actual holds very little influence over the candidates that he promotes for office except to bilk millions from the users who think they are giving money to a progressive candidate who in reality are just a conservative Democrats with no intention of upholding progressive ideals.
- chrissandvick, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Kos wants to win elections. Necessarily, if you are going to win any, he has to have SOME grounding in the real world and the realization that US politics is ultimately about inclusion. Kos also seems like an "ends justifies the means" kind of guy. So it's not surprising there's people who think he's not genuine enough for the Progressive tm brand. I bet there's more than a fair amount of jealousy too. Kos is young and the current golden boy.
- tech42er, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I've always thought he was pretty liberal. He backed Lamont and Lamont lost to Lieberman, who was even more centrist to win elections. And his was in CT. CT is not exactly the Midwest; it generally votes Democratic, like NY and MA.

- CmdrBob, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2FYI dude, the MSM is in a silly game of limbo, how low can they go? Now ya' know! To see who's winning check how few ppl actually tune in to watch that crap.
- Terry12345, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Do you honestly think all of the mainstream media with all of their resources could not figure out that this was a fake? Of course they could. So one must ask oneself, what else is going on here? Why would the media not tell me this is an obvious fake? What real reporter would not want to make the fact that this is a fake super breaking news. What a story that would be with obvious proof of it.
The fact that they do not tell us speaks volumes of what is going on today. We are truly living in the matrix and the main stream media is actually total propaganda. Not there to tell us the real story.
So what does that mean when all mainstream media outlets are total propaganda machines? When else in history has this kind of thing occurred? Anyone care to answer?- cbergeron, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3The MSM doesn't care about you. They care about your money.
- JulioJuliopolis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Actually, it doesn't even have to be our money. If they get paid to air something, either by advertisers or by corporations or the government, the money spends the same.

- latpack, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4And how would anyone find out if it was fake or not? Even if a credible expert examines the tapes and says "hey, its a forgery!" who would believe him if the Government says otherwise? They can always pull out a dozen other experts discrediting the one guy if they have to. The only way it can be proven fake is if a prolific figure comes out with evidence to back it up, even then, there's a possibility the guy would be "dealt" with before he'd reach the newspapers.

- Snowbo, on 10/10/2007, -22/+14This is pathetic. Everyone here is so intent on new conspiracy theories that it's impossible to separate the wheat from the chaff. If the tape was indeed fake, don't you think at least one reputable organization (besides the Booman Tribune, of course) would have picked up on it and reported it? Why not just go waste your time digging the astronaut / ET story?
- Richandler, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8No.
First they release pictures of it before it's "released." Now, if you watch the video yourself, it clearly has a frozen image with dialogue continuing. - swrostmore, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14CNN was claiming Usama's beard was "photoshopped" the day this tape was released. Obviously there is something dubious about the video
. - Couchy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10So because something isn't widely reported, forming an opinion based on your own perception of it dismisses any truthfulness it may contain? And that in and of itself is pathetic? The pasture is THAT way, sheep.
- JulioJuliopolis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2"don't you think at least one reputable organization"
Define "reputable organization". CNN? ABC? FOX? Yeah right. There are no reputable mainstream media organizations. Besides, I don't need some alleged authority giving me permission to examine evidence and draw my own conclusions. That they don't report the same conclusions is NOT THE EQUIVALENT of actually countering the evidence.

- tech42er, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Most people didn't watch it. I obviously don't know if it's real or not. The British Telegraph is reporting it's not*. It seems unlikely that OBL would be railing against globalisation and corporations and global warming. He doesn't care about that stuff. He's an old, ultra-conservative Muslim.
*http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/09/09/wladen109.xml - JulioJuliopolis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1A lot of people here apparently think so, solely because the mainstream media doesn't say it's fake. I seriously wonder how far it goes with them. If the mainstream media told them an elephant was sitting right on top of their head, I swear they'd believe it. The idea of determining truth by looking at evidence is completely unintelligible to them. Truth simply is what the media says.
- imgstacke, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0That's what happens when you have an ENTIRE generation raised in front of the Television.

- theright, on 10/10/2007, -20/+8The video may freeze at certain points when bin Laden mentions current events, but there are independent experts who will have painstakingly analyzed the audio track and come to the conclusion that it is authentic. This raises the _possibility_ that some of the audio track could have been dubbed in at a later date (al-Sahab are reasonably high-tech these days), but it would be more than a little premature to straight away start throwing accusations around that the video is fake, the voice isn't Usama, etc.
If the video has been edited, it will have been done by al-Sahab, al-Qaeda's media relations group, not the US government, or the CIA, or whatever mysterious federal entity you conspiracy nutters want to point the finger at this time.- JenadaeXX, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8wtf is "authentic"? Do they somewhere have a full spectrum analysis of OBL's voice that they use to compare against these VHS tapes? Where do you get this information? How is something dubbed at a later date and still remain "authentic"? Do you even read what you say?
- hoghug, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2I suspect he means authentic as in it's not Frank Oz doing his bestest Osama impersonation. It's the real deal., albeit one with a ***** up video.
- JulioJuliopolis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"but there are independent experts"
Of course there are. Name them.
"but it would be more than a little premature to straight away start throwing accusations around that the video is fake"
They've released obviously fake tapes before, we have every reason to believe Osama is dead, and this tape is very obviously fake. It's no more premature to accuse this tape of being fake than it is to accuse the sun of being yellow.
"If the video has been edited, it will have been done by al-Sahab, al-Qaeda's media relations group, not the US government,"
Of course not. The US govt. wouldn't lie and do things to harm the US people. It's that evil Al-Qaeda organization. You know, the ones that are determined unto death to kill us and yet aren't just picking up weapons and attacking us with them, not the people who benefit from us believing the bogeymen are out to get us.The ones that somehow made the laws of physics fail on 9-11, not the people who made billions off of it. Of course it's Emmanuel Goldst... I mean, Al-Qaeda, not the government. After all, fascism *couldn't happen here*, it *couldn't happen now*.

- Wartyboskfapped, on 10/10/2007, -11/+4It amuses me that people are so selective in the kinds of conspiracy theories they believe. Conspiracy theories involving the Bush Administration are considered totally crazy, but some elaborate fake bin Laden tape is plausible to these people. If someone wanted to make a fake bin Laden tape, why use an image of him that is so obviously different (the dyed beard)? You'd use something that resembled the previous tapes. Additionally, there is technology available to anyone with a home PC or Mac to sync up someone's mouth with new vocals. It seems to me the most likely explanation is that this is a new tape of bin Laden. The idea this is a forgery is pretty silly, unless conclusive proof can be presented. This here isn't conclusive proof.
We also keep hearing that it is somehow un-Islamic to dye your beard. This is totally false.- bobthebruce123, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2What is your evidence that it is a new tape? Someone told you so?
- aadyss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Wartyboskfapped has received a place of honor in the sane world. Dugg down at least 7 times. Way to go Wartyboskfapped.
- phantomex, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13In this day & age who knows what is truth and what is false. I mean, could it be possible that this person (Osama Bin Laden) be some type of act? A phony frontman for a group that is like a gnat (al-Qaida) on a giant (United States)? How better to manipulate foreign policy that benefits the U.S. & its allies. Start squabbles to expand influence and keep the U.S. image as being #1. Keep the people of the U.S. in a semi-grip of fear so that the continue to support the aforementioned facts. Is this a forgery? In this "age of absurdity"... I can't brush that notion aside. Yes people, this is BRINKMANSHIP to the extreme.

If you don't like the CIA, there are many independent bin Laden experts out there who are going to make a lot of noise if this was actually fake)... There's a problem of recursiveness with voice analysis by audio recordings unless you actually have the guy in person.

Interesting quote from the WaPo article concerning the Pentagon's plan to use fake video/audio of Hussein:
"Pentagon planners started to discuss digital morphing after Iraq's invasion of Kuwait in 1990. Covert operators kicked around the idea of creating a computer-faked videotape of Saddam Hussein crying or showing other such manly weaknesses, or in some sexually compromising situation. The nascent plan was for the tapes to be flooded into Iraq and the Arab world."
