- Dannry, on 07/25/2008, -0/+8His style of teaching was a model that should be studied and implemented at the university level - he was a world-class educator. He will be missed...
- DrunkCowOfDeath, on 07/25/2008, -0/+10I had the opportunity to take a class on the program he made, Alice. I took with one of the professor he work with at Carriage. Every class he would come in and talk about how Pausch was doing and how great of a guy he was. And while I completely destroyed Alice 2 with the Go Fish game I made, I still can't wait for Alice 3, I hope they can still finish it for him.
He will be missed. - JonathanMead, on 07/25/2008, -0/+8This is really sad news, he was an inspiration, to say the least.
- Avaniinava, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5This is so sad. A great loss to this world.

Very inspirational and moving. Take the time to sit down and watch the entire thing, you will be happy you did.
RIP Randy, and thank you for sharing your gift for your children with the rest of us.- macwac, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2Do not miss "time management" speech that he held at University of Virginia; it is of great inspiration as well: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-578474038 ...

- stephhicks68, on 07/25/2008, -1/+2I watched the last lecture and found it to be one of the most inspiring talks I've ever watched. My thoughts and prayers are with his young family. So sad.
- statuescrumble, on 07/25/2008, -1/+3What an amazing thing to do, I cannot think of a better way to use his last months as he did. He touched the hearts of everybody in the world.

- kahrn, on 07/25/2008, -0/+2A great person has passed away. The lectures he gave on achieving your childhood dreams will motivate people not just today, but for many years to come. If you have not seen them, then you must. It will change the way you look at life forever.
He will be missed, but remembered by millions. Rest in peace. - aboyd, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1I believe this quote came from his blog. It's the closest example I've ever seen to a true definition of manhood.
"I mean, the metaphor I've used is... somebody's going to push my family off a cliff pretty soon, and I won't be there to catch them. And that breaks my heart. But I have some time to sew some nets to cushion the fall. So, I can curl up in a ball and cry, or I can get to work on the nets."
I hope I can be half the man he is when my time is up. - mbonzo531, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1Randy Pausch is a very interesting man. Its very noble that he could continue to view his self from the perspective of reason throughout his final months. Most people let emotion overwelm them, he was smart enough to realize that his life would be better spent embracing other's than to be overcome with emotion and let your ego control you. His life is a symbol of reason at the face of death.
- ismellfunny, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1This guy was an example to every person who faces adversity or something that could warp your perspective. Don't turn into THAT guy turn into this guy. I've learned from him, and for someone who considers himself not sensitive this brought a tear to my eye. I will always look at every difficult situation with a smile when I can muster the strength. rest in peace my friend
