Former Terrorists Explain "Why We Want to Kill You" watch!
breitbart.tv — I have to have to give CU credit for giving these guys a forum. They survived death threats to deliver their message. WAKE UP, AMERICA!

- digg it
- Donald2007, on 05/01/2008, -13/+7Good link! Bye, here's a really excellent list of videos-- many of which are related (there's even another one with Walid Shoebat where he explains quite a lot about his how terrorists are recruited, etc-- see "The Terrorist Mindset on that list):
http://digg.com/world_news/Best_Videos_Israel_Pale ...- OwdenBowden, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1Thanks for the link and I gave you a digg because your submission takes you to nirvana of terrorist mindset
- smacksaw, on 05/01/2008, -4/+46That was very disappointing. First, is there a link that doesn't require us to use a browser without adblock installed? Then again, considering it showed about 30 seconds of their speech and 2:30 of them reporting about security, where was the message.
Buried. Find something of substance without lame ads all over the video and submit that.- cawpin, on 05/01/2008, -2/+12Yes, the real link is here. It's actually on the Breitbart spam page, amazingly enough.
http://cbs4denver.com/local/Walid.Shoebat.Kamal.2. ...
Buried. - brundlefly76, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1Yeah I wanted the reporter to summarize what their message was - I didn't get it.
- cawpin, on 05/01/2008, -2/+12Yes, the real link is here. It's actually on the Breitbart spam page, amazingly enough.
- fancypantscz, on 05/01/2008, -12/+68From my perspective, is seems as if these two guys are paid to promote the awareness of radical Islam in order to justify the so called war on terror. Shouldn't America's foreign policy be shaped according to the will and interests of the American citizens not the other way around. These guys were brought to CU school by the Republican Party in order to shape public perception of Islam to better fit America's failing foreign policy. They are true propagandists.
Does America face a threat from Islamic terrorism? Yes. Is it worth fighting an ill defined, impossible, and costly 'war on terrorism' abroad and abandoning basic civil liberties at home? No.
I'm not against the war on terror because I'm not 'awake' to the threat of radical Islam. I'm against the war on terror because it is horrible, self defeating foreign policy that creates more problems than it solves and it is eroding the very civil liberties that make America a nation worth defending.- patpl22391, on 05/01/2008, -9/+7Oh yes, because they have something to say and have actual understanding of the enemy, they are obviously propagandists. Yet, I'm sure if the ACLU or Amnesty International showed up you would agree with whatever they had to say and you certainly wouldn't claim they were propagandists. I don't understand why you believe people who have a different opinion can't speak out, because God forbid, they convince some one that the war on terror is worth fighting.
- SpudgeBoy, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1And God forbid somebody might say something to convince people that it isn't worht it.
- DanMiller, on 05/01/2008, -1/+2Have you heard their speech? I heard 30 sec of soundbytes with little substance. They may be very interesting but I am sceptical of the message if I haven't heard it.
- bromac, on 05/01/2008, -2/+9Being ignorant of their motives doesn't help your cause.
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not your enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” - Sun Tzu- SpudgeBoy, on 05/01/2008, -5/+3How the hell do we know what their motives are. The corporate media once again talked over the important part with dumb ***** questions like "If there are finals how did so many students find the time?"
- staticneuron, on 05/01/2008, -3/+2Being aware of their motives won't help either. Hearing lines like "we didn't know what to do with 9/11" and "the reason why we "hate" you is because..... " all sound like a propaganda piece. Listening very carefully and doing some research would yield to you why they actually dislike the American government and how very actually known terrorist groups use American government and American people interchangeably
- GhostRidr, on 05/01/2008, -6/+1"Shouldn't America's foreign policy be shaped according to the will and interests of the American citizens not the other way around." -- Not always. Think of it like this, should a parent have the same attitude towards their 5yr old's will and interests? Obviously the parent has more experience in the real world, and can guide the kid toward the right path. I think that is SOMETIMES how a government needs to be look at towards its citizens. Obviously they have a better perspective on the larger picture, through various intelligence services (forget the Iraq debacle--intelligence services work for the most part), and make decisions we may not understand. A good example would be the Syrian nuclear reactor bombed by Israel. Many people cried foul, but now that we know the N. Koreans were helping them build a clandestine nuclear reactor, it makes more sense, doesn't it?
- pkonink, on 05/01/2008, -2/+10The government is not my nanny.
- GhostRidr, on 05/01/2008, -1/+1What do you think the local police department does? And that's just a local, personal interaction. The belief the government as a whole does not protect us, does not guide us, and continues to do so while we sleep, ignores reality.
- SpudgeBoy, on 05/01/2008, -1/+6The American people are not 5 year olds. Fail.
- an0nym0us, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2Wow, you could have fool me.
- DanMiller, on 05/01/2008, -2/+3I sort of agree but consider many of the people in this country that vote. Do you truly want them to decide what is in our best interest when it comes to complex foreign affairs? Economomics?
- youareretarded, on 05/01/2008, -2/+4No but I do expect that those in charge will be kept in check by others that are in charge, sort of like a checks and balance system........
- DanMiller, on 05/01/2008, -2/+1Well what do you expect when more than half the population elected the same nightmare president twice.
- youareretarded, on 05/01/2008, -2/+4No but I do expect that those in charge will be kept in check by others that are in charge, sort of like a checks and balance system........
- Meekus, on 05/01/2008, -1/+2It is not the role of government to be my nanny, nor am I willing to sacrifice any of my liberty for it. To think of your fellow Americans as the five year old, and the government as the parent.... This notion is one I must reject.
- GhostRidr, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1It was an analogy, one to show that the government often has a much much larger view of the world that we do, in our everyday go-to-work lives. How can we alone except to understand the intricacies of a world of almost 200 countries, and the relationships they all have together? Certainly not better than the government. People don't like to hear that. They don't want to be told the government, made up of thousands of minds, knows more than they do.
And I never said anything about giving up liberties.

- Picaroon, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2The idea of the government as you described it is a good description of how fascism views the relationship between the state and the citizen. I am guessing you meant to describe representative democracy, but your analogy didn't come out like you hoped.
Then again, I can see why you would see citizens as 5-year-olds based on some of the comments on this Digg submission.
- pkonink, on 05/01/2008, -2/+10The government is not my nanny.
- CrazedLeper, on 05/01/2008, -18/+49/11 was all USA/Israel. There were no "Islamic terrorists". You're being taken for a ride.
- FanofFilm, on 05/01/2008, -2/+3this isn't really funny anymore. i admit once or twice i got a good chuckle from the zionist theory of 9/11, but now it's like listening to another knock-knock joke. i roll my eyes and get frustrated when someone like you says it. i only politely smile for 5 year olds or my grandmother when they say it. and you ain't my grandma
- CrazedLeper, on 05/02/2008, -1/+2It was never funny. Do you seriously think 4 commercial airliners could be hijacked on the same day and fly unchallenged for 2 hours? I don't. Also, airplanes don't go *through* concrete walls and leave them standing for 20 minutes. You're a dupe.
- FanofFilm, on 05/02/2008, -0/+2No, I'm a aeronautical structural engineer, but thanks for playing.

- AxeSwinger, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2Well you also have the issue of just what are the best interests of a country. Then you have an issue of methodology obtaining those stated interests. As an example I think everyone would agree an educated populace is in the best interest of a country. However, there are many people who would disagree with public school as a solution. They would be able to point to logical arguments supporting their claims as would those who advocate for public schools. Who is right? Now add a thousand other best interests and then try to get agreement about those interests and methodology. It's like nailing jello to a wall.
- worldchanger, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1pardon me, but ... you weren't at the speech, were you? you're basing your entire opinion on them of thirty seconds of sound bites? wow.
I've seen Mr. Shoebat in person, and I'm kind of perplexed how you would arrive at such a conclusion.
- patpl22391, on 05/01/2008, -9/+7Oh yes, because they have something to say and have actual understanding of the enemy, they are obviously propagandists. - Quick2822, on 05/01/2008, -12/+46I thought they wanted to kill us because we are free and our women can go outside and drive cars? Oh, nevermind, that is what the government wants you to believe.
It has nothing to do with our constant presence in the Middle East. - TroHax, on 05/01/2008, -23/+11Lame, Burried.
Alright, Dig me down now. - fr3ddie, on 05/01/2008, -13/+5"my parents never told me I have to die to go to heaven"... wow awesome parents.... but wtf religion is that? buddhism?
- freakydingo, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1I assumed she meant suicide/martyrdom, not just death in general.
- worldchanger, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1hey parents probably were not radical jihadist muslims. strange how that works.
- dorsey47, on 05/01/2008, -10/+15If we are going to give them a pass and call them "former" terrorists, shouldn't they title their messages "why we used to want to kill you" or "why our former teammates want to kill you"? I
- JeffD, on 05/01/2008, -0/+5Because why we want to kill you is more provocative?
- whataboutdave, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1Welcome to the world of publicity. Publishers often give books sensationalist titles as well, even when the content isn't really that controversial.
- FanofFilm, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2look for my new book coming out this summer "I'm Going to Rape Your Teenage Daughter, Twice: Six Simple Recipes for a Great BBQ"
- giddytonk, on 05/01/2008, -3/+21I wish they had a copy of the actual speech. I'd like to see it to come up with my own opinions.
- AYork, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2Read away.

- AYork, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2Read away.
- icantdenythis, on 05/01/2008, -2/+6probably wasn't a real terrorist?
- Jovensdesciple, on 05/01/2008, -14/+5Obama needs this guy on his campaign staff... Or is this guy Obama in a mask?
- DanMiller, on 05/01/2008, -2/+3Go drown yourself.
- moxley, on 05/01/2008, -10/+9Please. People always want to kill people, especially over religion.
However, the true terrorists who are going to take away all of your rights after lying and smothering you with ***** propaganda (and illegal actions to perpetrate and perpetuate it) prior to destroying all America stands for are the corrupt officials in the US federal government.
C'mon...Buy into the fear, buy into the fear.
Just think - if we turn America into a giant prison, nobody will be able to hurt us...(except the govt we're stuck inside with, and they're doing a great job already).- UcIc, on 05/01/2008, -2/+4I would much rather take my chances getting killed by the supposed 'terrorists' than live my life stripped of my freedoms. The real terrorists are those who will and have made attempts to oppress us.
- PolishLogic, on 05/01/2008, -1/+1While I agree that it's ridiculous to be afraid of these people (because it's exactly what they feed off of), I'm just curious as to what rights you've lost?
I can't think of one thing that I can't do today that I could do in prior to 2001. Oh, except smoke in a bar.
- obamayomama, on 05/01/2008, -8/+3The title had me chuckling even before I saw the video. WTF is an "former" terrorist anyway? Shouldn't that be a lifelong brand? Maybe they attend "terror-anon" meetings on Tuesday evenings.
- patpl22391, on 05/01/2008, -3/+3Why don't you ask Obama's friend Bill Ayers.
- obamayomama, on 05/01/2008, -6/+1You're not bright enough to see that I'm against these fellas, are you?
- patpl22391, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1I see you aren't bright enough to see past the "Messianic" Obama and see the many faults of his associations with black radicals and terrorists.
- obamayomama, on 05/01/2008, -1/+0Dude, you still don't get it-- I am NOT for Obama. You have a career with your name printed on your shirt, don't you?
- patpl22391, on 05/01/2008, -3/+3Why don't you ask Obama's friend Bill Ayers.
- jokemon, on 05/01/2008, -15/+3This speech was nothing more than an attempt to try and sway more college students to vote republican in the upcoming elections.
- DanMiller, on 05/01/2008, -1/+2It would seem to me understanding the true motives behind the actions of terrorists would provide us with a better way in which to deal with them. The Republican stance on national defence has been abysmal. Perhaps if we pulled our heads out of our asses and learned that our constant presense in their lives drives their hate we might not have the problem in the first place.

- dondara, on 05/01/2008, -10/+13Buried as inaccurate. No such thing as a live former terrorist.
- had3l, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2I actually agree, not because they are alive, but because they would NEVER be allowed to remain in the US. They would be deported and black listed or sent to Guantanamo. Even freaking MANDELA is still in the terrorist list. There is no former terrorist, once you make the list, it's almost impossible to get removed from it, SPECIALLY when you confess that you are a terrorist.
- iancgi, on 05/01/2008, -7/+2wow 74 diggs and its on the top page. Funny how other stories with "subversive materials" are always buried and marked as inaccurate.
buried. - Chassit, on 05/01/2008, -4/+3Too bad that anyone smart enough to prevent ad delivery can't view it.
- saisumimen, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1False. I was able to watch it with anti-ad extensions in Firefox.
- DirtPile, on 05/01/2008, -1/+4These guys probably live in a van down by the river.
- saisumimen, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1They probably were offered immunity by the US (like important Nazis after WWII) in exchange for their expertise in their field of knowledge and live quite comfortably.

- grobinson, on 05/01/2008, -0/+4Sounds like a good idea, but these guys sound like they pander to what people want to hear if they pay them. I wonder if they've got a book coming out soon or something.
- Spire3660, on 05/01/2008, -2/+2This is EXACTLY what i thought too.
- poidh, on 05/01/2008, -1/+3It might have been better then if you'd just dugg his comment so we wouldn't have to read it it twice.

- 11familyguy11, on 05/01/2008, -1/+3Many terrorist recruits are misinformed through propaganda from a young age. It's important for the media to be held accountable for what they say. Unbiased sources are hard to come by in the United States, it's impossible in the middle east.
- leexy, on 05/01/2008, -1/+1You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. The Middle Eastern media were traditionally at the mercy of the American-supported dictators, and were doing their pro-US propaganda job. Now, with the advent of sattelite and ubiquitous information, the US set up dozens of TV and radio stations to diffuse its propaganda. Heck, the US army regularly throws propaganda flyers from airplanes.
Thing is, people aren't dupe. When you attack a country that's on the other side of the globe that represents no threat whatsoever to you and call it "liberation" or "spreading democracy" while causing the deaths of countless innocents and maiming even more, nobody buys your crap any longer. Unbiased sources are hard to come by anywhere, but it's not hard for a young man in the M.E. to get radicalized. All he has to do, is watch images of dead babies and get abused by the police of whatever tyrannical state he's living in. In 2003, there were waves of people who decided to go to Iraq to defend the locals against the invaders. They didn't have to be brainwashed or anything. They just felt like it was a duty. Same thing happened on the infamous summer of 2006 when Beirut was obliterated. Grassroots people were flocking in from all over the world to defend Lebanon. So much so that Hezbollah had to turn down most of the volunteers.
So no, "unbiased sources" do not play a significant role here.

- Breticus07, on 05/01/2008, -0/+3they said that the speech was packed but I saw about 20 open seats in plain view... also kind of boring, would rather see a video of the actual speech not some boring news people

- Picaroon, on 05/01/2008, -2/+3Yes, that's right. And those are all things that we aren't wrong in doing. Or, even if you disagree politically with that, it doesn't make OBL right to kill people over it.
- flogistan, on 05/01/2008, -1/+2We should hire some shills to explain why we ARE killing hordes of them for no reason.
- poidh, on 05/01/2008, -3/+5Why do they want to kill us?
It's in the Qur'an and Hadiths, stupid. - zadadka, on 05/01/2008, -2/+3What utter bollocks.
One day slaughtering the innocent is fine, the next you have a miraculous brainwave that tells you it's bad?
I'd be more inclined to beleive loan sharks become honest bankers.- saisumimen, on 05/01/2008, -1/+2"honest bankers"

- looks like the trades one ignorant blindness for another. I guaran-*****-tee you that if America becomes a fascist state and starts marching muslims into oven and / or "disappearing" them of of us streets that these two fools will be right at the front cheering the fascists on --- just like they were when they played for the other team- aristotle0dude, on 05/01/2008, -1/+1"looks like the trades one ignorant blindness for another"
As opposed to your rhetoric based on complete ignorance of those religions? Ignorance is no excuse for bigotry. Maybe if you took the time to learn something about other points of view, you could live in peace with everyone else instead of being a ***** disturber parroting crap you read somewhere on the internet. People like you were used by hitler in WWII Germany.

He's obviously never been to college - TheLoneWolf071, on 05/01/2008, -0/+1It's because we are forceful. It seems simplistic, but we occupy their county without their approval, among other thing. If we just left well enough alone, they would not hate us so much.
- flogistan, on 05/01/2008, -1/+1Was that adam gadahn?
- jjmelch, on 05/01/2008, -3/+3Why are they alive? Let them give the speach in Tel Aviv
- saisumimen, on 05/01/2008, -1/+2Same reason why important Nazis (mainly scientists) were kept alive by the US, even AFTER committing war crimes and experiments on (live) human guinea pigs.
These former "terrorists" may or may not have killed anyone. In fact, they may or may not have been real terrorists at all. - jmkiii, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2Wow, read this guys (jjmelch) other comments. BIGOT!
- saisumimen, on 05/01/2008, -1/+2Same reason why important Nazis (mainly scientists) were kept alive by the US, even AFTER committing war crimes and experiments on (live) human guinea pigs.

- NelsonR, on 05/01/2008, -5/+1Why is it so hard to see the obvious which is our leadership are of the Fourth Reich?
Why are we in the middle east, Oil, Israel or the policemen of the world mentality?
Or could it be nationalistic pride as with the German populace under Hitler.
We all know Al Qeada was not in Iraq in the beginning yet we attacked a sovereign nation with lies and Bush was never impeached and Hillary went along with the invasion.
Says plenty about the leadership and the elite in America who control our lives. We deserve what we voted for and as an American I despise what apathy controls.
McCain is another Bush so go ahead you idiots who voted for this moron, vote for McBush. - bfk68, on 05/01/2008, -1/+2And I thought they just wanted to kill me for being too fresh.
- mindbullets, on 05/01/2008, -1/+2That video was not at all informative. Oh, and America was asleep after 9/11 and did nothing? Seemed to me that the country freaked the ***** out and we ended up with the patriot act
