One article recently said that your choices are set before you are born - that you will either have the liberal tendencies or the conservative tendencies. These are the ones who for the past five decades have been working tirelessly to prepare the political atmosphere in which Obama can thrive. Many of us have felt that something was going on, but as the time gets closer, the more defined the threat becomes. It's huge! Those in ACORN who have been hard at work deceiving others and "raising the dead" to vote is but one small example. There are others who plan to create violence on election day. Intimidation is also being used in some neighborhoods. Others have been bribed to block voting by various means.
So what do we do? It helps to sit at the computer and blogg, although that only reaches those who are tuned in. We really need to take a page from their playbook and get out and talk to people. Many haven't heard the news, or really aren't "interested" because they feel it really doesn't affect them. They watch the wrong news channels, or read the wrong newspapers and feel it can't happen here. That was the attitude in Germany in the 1930's. They have one month to get registered, learn some facts and VOTE! In some places the registration will be shut off very soon. A lost vote is a lost opportunity. I agree with BettyLou2. You are correct in your assessment in regard to the deliberateness of breaking the financial system. The Demonrats refuse to accept responsibility for what has taken place with the banking industry. It was the Carter administration that crafted the legislation ham-stringing banks into lending money to non-qualified people , knowing that ultimately, it would result in the current "crisis" that was deliberately orchestrated. It was a deliberate measure taken to ensure the nationalization of the banking industry. The demonrats in this do-nothing congress either saw it coming and did nothing or were too busy spending tax payers money "investigating" steroid use among pro baseball players! Individuals who label themselves Progressives, Liberals, Socialists or whatever opt into the worship of a vile lie and choose to view the world with blinders on. Fidel, Raul Castro and their minions were murderous butchers who lied to and deceived their own people once they ascended to power. They did not give Cuba all the good things they promised the people once Batista's Administration was overthrown. All that happened was that the guys who did the overthrowing took all the power, the wealth, and insulated themselves around a cult of personality, secured by armed thugs.
I have observed Soviet Satellite Countries up very close and personally. I have seen what the left and the wonders of Soviet style Communism has brought to the world. Soviet Communism and Nazism are functionally and effectively the same concepts, in that there is little difference in their actions to achieve desired goals.
Some folks try to explain away Communisms shortcomings. That is like saying that Communism has killed only some 100,000,000 people, so lets give it a chance. They hope that it might work, as opposed to, where it has so miserably failed in the past.
