EU Common Agricultural Policy proposals (2008) - Wikileaks

wikileaks.org — Leak of latest European Commission proposals for reform of the Common Agricultural Policy, known as the 'health check'. These proposals will form the basis of an internal Commission discussion on 14 and 15 May 2008. The agreed proposals are due out later in the month.

  • bringmeupmusic, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1I propose we learn to make things from crops other than corn. Corn is used in making nearly everything you can imagine. From glue to fuel to crayons and even compounds in baby diapers come from corn. I think that's an awful lot of pressure on corn and we know what happens when you apply pressure to that kernel. It pops.
