The same day he "broke" the story, ABC News did a long piece about Harry in Afghanistan. They said where he was, what he had been doing, etc. They had been there filming the story for several days.
At the end of the story, they said Harry was going to leave, because ABC had now "blown his cover". All Drudge did was get a sniff of the story a few hours before it aired, basically.
PUH-LEASE don't take this as me supporting Drudge. I just think the malice is misplaced in this case... - JessicaLF77, on 02/29/2008, -1/+13And yet you hope that Prince Harry gets killed off in the name of... pure spite? Hypocritical much?
- JessicaLF77, on 02/29/2008, -1/+13What's it like to hate so much?
- inactive, on 02/29/2008, -2/+14Wow, you have never met a "Blame Israel" or "Blame the U.S." story you didn't like, eh robinohio1?
Yet, not a single story about Hamas atrocities, fundamentalist Islam atrocities. No outrage there at all. Kill Harry, kill Americans, kill the Jews, but leave those other poor suicide bombers alone. Leave those people bombing Israel every day alone. No outrage there. Beheadings? None of your business, eh?
All from your computer in Ohio? You are quite the man... - appleann1, on 02/29/2008, -4/+16While exposing any sensitive information like this is reprehensible, I take exception with the faux outrage Olberman and those two other blowhards from C&L spout. Suddenly they give a rat's behind about the military and sensitive information?
Where was their outrage when the NY Times plastered classified info all over their front page?
Drudge, Newsweek or any other media should be ashamed of themselves, but don't let these media whores fool you into thinking they care. - appleann1, on 02/29/2008, -1/+12I don't know what you are talking about l'il ben
- JessicaLF77, on 02/29/2008, -1/+12And you don't see the irony in what you're saying? So much for taking the high road.
- inactive, on 02/29/2008, -3/+13Reported.
You sure are one sick *****, robinohio.
Get therapy. I am dead serious. - inactive, on 02/29/2008, -0/+9Well how do you do! The ABC News piece was actually a BBC piece kept on ice. They ran it after the news came out. They did a nice job (in the piece I saw) making it seem like it was their story.
So, it has been rumored since Jan 15th. A German mag printed something about it. Then an Aussie mag prints it, Drudge gets a hold of it, and makes it REALLY known. Anything for a story, eh "journalists"?!?!? - Erythroxylum, on 02/29/2008, -1/+10Actually, I think it was an Australian women's magazine which broke the 'media blackout'. At least, according to this article:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/ne ... - bluto36, on 02/29/2008, -1/+10you are a sick individual. you need meds.
raped and murdered? greatest threat to the existence of the human race?
wow, you really dont like the jooooooooooooos you should go racheal corrie yourself and do the world a favor - bamapachyderm, on 02/29/2008, -0/+8Chickenterrorist. Go sign up with Al Qaeda then, you miserable coward. You can be the next Johnny Taliban or Azzam the American! You'll fit right in!
- bluto36, on 02/29/2008, -1/+9thats a lot of F&%$ing going on there. you don't get a lot of action do you?
- inactive, on 02/29/2008, -1/+8Drudge has great information, but I agree he is a "parasite"
- BohicaTwentyTwo, on 02/29/2008, -0/+7Rumor has it, they have an opening.
http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/191494.php - BohicaTwentyTwo, on 02/29/2008, -0/+6Perhaps you would prefer an executive slot?
http://hotair.com/archives/2008/02/29/hmmm-unnamed ... - sultanknish, on 02/29/2008, -5/+11drudge was always an obnoxious publicity hungry parasite
- bamapachyderm, on 03/01/2008, -0/+6Since the existence of the rest of the world torments you so much, why don't you just off yourself? Poof! All your misery will be gone, and "life will be so much better for the rest of us." Think about it, mmkay?
- diggforlife, on 02/29/2008, -3/+9Afghanistan is a big country. Unless he pinpointed the location on a map, I don't see the problem.
- bamapachyderm, on 02/29/2008, -4/+9Drudge is dead to me now.
- novaculus, on 02/29/2008, -2/+7No doubt Drudge stole it from someone else and used it without attribution. That is his typical modus operandi.
See this one: http://etherzone.com/2000/mome020500.html - inactive, on 03/04/2008, -0/+4Re-posting your mindless diatribe verbatim in the same thread doesn't make it any more worthwhile, but it does relieve you of the difficulty of couching the same old dreary ignorance in slightly different terms . . . .
- bamapachyderm, on 03/01/2008, -0/+3Wow, you don't spend much time in the Digg news section, do you? I don't see a single troofer in this thread or digging the story (and I know who the troofer scumbags are).
- llps, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3Honestly, I hate the media all the way around. Can't live with them, can't live without them.
- inactive, on 03/04/2008, -0/+2But he has a world class collection of warts on his palms . . . . .
- bluto36, on 02/29/2008, -2/+4what is wrong with you? you need help and/or drugs
- inactive, on 03/04/2008, -0/+2'Tis very doubtful this babbling pussy meets the definition of a 'man' in any sense of the word, including "(hu)man."
- CaptinCrunch, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Fox first!
- sparsematrix, on 03/19/2008, -0/+0How exactly can you drop Drudge when you could never link to him in the first place? He's a clearing house, a conduit for information, not an actual address on the intarwebs. The only way to "drop" him is to not read him in the first place, or just never h/t him.
- stevehgraham, on 03/02/2008, -0/+0I think you mean "Drop Breitbart."
- bernandoo, on 02/29/2008, -3/+2i love how most diggers cry "the media is hiding information" or "they don't investigate" when referring to 9/11 etc.. but when a story comes out that the media has been keeping secrets from the public, and somebody reveals this... they cry foul. seems hypocritical to me.
- socialismEVIL, on 03/01/2008, -2/+1less "royalty" is better
- grlfriday, on 03/01/2008, -1/+0Awesome.
- socialismEVIL, on 03/01/2008, -2/+0I haven't been linking to Druge.. but now I will
- BigBenKlingon, on 02/29/2008, -10/+6How quick we forget that your girl Malkin did the same thing.
Uhhh....where was your outrage then sweetheart?

What is Digg?
