Coyotes Attack!
dailybulletin.com — According to the media, coyotes are on the prowl in Southern California, and they have a taste for small children. First, it was child abductors on every corner, now coyotes. What's a parent to do? Don't these mean coyotes know the children are our future? Coyotes, sharks, alligators in Florida kitchens - how will any of us survive?

- clvngodess, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2Oh the shock and the horror of it all. And yet the common house cat is a bigger serial killer than the rogue and wounded encroached coyote. Ah but there's the rub, human encroachment and the unwillingness to work as part of nature instead of acting as though we are separate from it.
Sidebar: When the fires broke out in Griffith Park and the animals came running into the streets of Los Angeles (deer, coyotes, etc) people on camera were documented saying that they had enough to worry about and now the animals too. Like the animals were a problem!
Humans! Ugh! - BFNews, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1Ha. You're right. The media loves to create hysteria. I saw a report that there was ONE fatal shark attack in the world last year, but the way the media presents it, people are getting gobbled up by sharks everyday.
- Cattywampus, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2Sounds like a horror movie. I can hear the deep-voiced announcer now:
"Coyotes are roaming the Golden State... and they've got a taste for children! But California has a bad-ass fish-and-game warden with an attitude ... and he'll stop at nothing to make sure all of California's kids are safe!"
