- asus2000, on 07/02/2009, -16/+80Must have been strong warrior human man to be able to beat down a Klingon woman!
- Janv1er, on 07/02/2009, -7/+33These comments suck
- uptwolait, on 07/02/2009, -8/+27The cop was pretty stupid if he punched her in the forehead. That's just asking for a shattered hand.
- h3lx, on 07/02/2009, -11/+27If you can't subdue a woman in less than 10 seconds without punching her in the face, you should turn in your badge and go bag groceries. There are methods to bringing a person to the ground quickly and they all have been proven to work extremely well.
Chivalry and manners, morality and ethics aside, you don't hit women... especially in the face. - teamr, on 07/02/2009, -4/+17they can digg you down all they want. I thought that was hilarious! LOL
- jonvdveen, on 07/02/2009, -4/+16No one would have complained had it been a man that was punched in the head...because he would have deserved it. However, since it's a woman, the image is "splashed" to news agencies all over the galaxy. Retarded.
Equality for women...until it becomes convenient to whip out the "weaker sex" card. Sigh. - whoreable, on 07/02/2009, -1/+13I nominate you.
- bratterscain, on 07/02/2009, -1/+12...an ***** reputation, firing from his job, and possibly an assault charge.
- JFitzpatrick, on 07/02/2009, -4/+14If that lump on her head is indeed from the assault I'm pretty astounded.
When I was a kid I was running full speed, let's conservatively estimate that my sugar-fueled little body which would go on to be that of a sprinter was moving at say... 15MPH, I tripped and smacked my head on a piece of playground equipment (a large 4x4 like step of a wooden play structure) and despite sprinting like a cheetah into what amounted to a tree trunk, I had a knot on my head about 1/4th that size.
The point of my rambling treatise on the topic is: Damn. That was a hell of a punch. - jambla, on 07/02/2009, -0/+9I second that.
- asus2000, on 07/02/2009, -4/+13"You don't hit women"
You don't hit a girl is how the saying goes. Fact is that some women need the ***** smacked out of them. - inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+8aye
- KenSPT, on 07/02/2009, -7/+15"A surveillance video from the parking lot where the assault occurred has surfaced, however investigators say the video is too grainy to make anything out."
How convenient.
Something tells me if the woman really did attack the cop first, that surveillance video would somehow not be "too grainy to make anything out.".
This is just another situation of cops protecting their own. - ahhell, on 07/02/2009, -5/+12The moral of the story is: Don't drive without a license.
- Nerotique, on 07/02/2009, -2/+8Yeah, so I guess when a man who's pummeled like this, and then made fun of; the folks insulting the victim are man haters? Yep, more of the same. Equality to women, until it's convenient to play the "weaker sex" card.
- h3lx, on 07/02/2009, -3/+9^ I've done it countless times. Worked the the take down teams during any number of the Haitian riots, 250-1500 really pissed off refugees, most HIV positive, 115 degrees in full combat gear. You dig your thumb into someone's armpit hard enough, their will to resist collapses with them to the floor and there's no bruise to show up in pictures.
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+6Just do some CSI magic > enhance > enhance > enhance > zoom > pan left > enhance...
- LucasHenderson, on 07/02/2009, -2/+8I almost felt bad for laughing. Dugg nonetheless
- DankBuddz, on 07/02/2009, -0/+6Yeah, gotta love assault. Its just soooo funny.
- Solkre, on 07/02/2009, -4/+10"Chivalry and manners, morality and ethics aside, you don't hit women... especially in the face. "
No, I actually think that's counting chivalry, manners, morality and ethics. If you take those out, she's just a human and can be punched like any other. - Nerotique, on 07/02/2009, -3/+8Amen to that!
- sabach, on 07/02/2009, -4/+9Sorry dude, little women subdue large men every day in penitentiaries across the nation. It's training, training and more training in the art of inflicting pain without inflicting damage.
- skipvt, on 07/02/2009, -0/+5All in favor?
- JFitzpatrick, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4So our only data point so far is that the officer threw a 60MPH punch into her noggin. =/
- ArthorBearing, on 07/02/2009, -1/+5Jokes often have an element of tragedy. Life is cruel and brutal more often than it's sweet and endearing; a hearty soul knows a good laugh.
Although I sympathize with your position, I firmly disagree. - morningmatters, on 07/02/2009, -4/+8That looks painful.
Most nightclubs have some connections with the police in order to make sure that the clubs are never raided or investigated. Instead of straight bribing, trusted cops are hired as "security consultants" or "promoters" but they don't usually have to do anything to get money, other than blocking attempts to investigate.
The fact the night club owner refused to press charges against the cop who hit her just shows that there is likely a lot more going on behind the scenes. - poppyfire, on 07/02/2009, -4/+8There are better ways to seduce women as an officer of the law. He just needs more practice.
- AtomicTheory, on 07/02/2009, -2/+6That is the single greatest digg comment I have ever seen.
- kd1s, on 07/03/2009, -0/+3Too grainy is code for "We're gonna let him off with a slap on the wrist."
I'm sorry, it's 2009, video systems today can spot a god damned fruit fly fro 600 yards away. Too grainy my ass. - AtomicTheory, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3Apparently you CAN tell a woman with two black eyes something.
- oddtom, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3Oh, thank goodness! I thought you would never come, White Knight! Yes, smite these cowardly heathen with your courageous Internet Posturing. Strike fear in their hearts and let them know that chivalry is far, far from dead so long as heroes like you roam the countryside during these dangerous times for cyber damsels everywhere!
- jsmith39, on 07/02/2009, -1/+4Guess the bitch should have paid up then.
- AmyVernon, on 07/02/2009, -2/+5That was totally my reaction.
- jsmith39, on 07/02/2009, -1/+4There's always time for lame punch lines.
- appleofdischord, on 07/02/2009, -2/+5Yeah, he should have just tazed the bitch.
- Sevin77, on 07/02/2009, -2/+5I don't make many comments but that was funny as hell!!
- ArthorBearing, on 07/02/2009, -2/+5Police officers are just as human as janitors and senators and teachers. "Who watches the watchmen?" We're supposed to. ***** happens, take his badge and let's move on.
- 1x253, on 07/02/2009, -1/+4Golly, Mike, I happen to know a lot of jail guards/cops that work in one of the most dangerous jurisdictions in the US and they tend to agree with h3lx; they've also demonstrated many of those holds on me to teach me the stuff I didn't already learn from my black belt brother.
I don't have as much experience as h3lx does, but I've done my fair share (crazy people at parties, fights, etc). It is a matter of training and learning pressure points and holds. It takes surprisingly little strength. Either you're not doing it right or your not a very manly man. I'm guessing you haven't received enough training b/c you'd have to be a wuss in the extreme to not be able to take someone down who doesn't have similar trainging- particularly a woman. - 1x253, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3... in Stamford, CT.
- Myztry, on 07/02/2009, -1/+4"We hold our officers to very high standards and know that the public is entitled to expect nothing less," said Cooney.
I take it he's in the public relations department. For without media intervention - no ones gives a *****. - antc1986, on 07/03/2009, -0/+3What the ***** is with these comments? Makes you think digg is full of misogynist cop-loving trolls.
- doughpro, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3And in many cases, cell phone video has thwarted liability lawsuits filed against officers.
Thanks for that, at least. - inactive, on 07/02/2009, -2/+5So, we meet again, Mrs. Trebec.
Cop is a wack job, otherwise not much different from most cops. - PowderedToasty, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3I can understand the video being to grainy to see faces, but shouldn't you be able to see arms swinging???
- sabach, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3Mike, I never worked in any "jails", I did however work in a Close-Max security penitentiary for 8 years. There's a big difference between a jail and a prison. So, anyway I did it for a living.
- vilago, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2that's fine with me. give me the power to override cops and i will most definitely take advantage of that.
- PowderedToasty, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2My friend got his ass kicked by 4 ***** cops who were in the mood to give someone a whooping. He didn't press charges... because he couldn't. Their word against his.
- 1x253, on 07/02/2009, -3/+5What's the difference between Officer Gregory Zach and other police officers?
He got caught.
This doesn't do a lot for CT's image as a really racist state. If you're hispanic and working in CT as say a contractor, sheet rock/drywall, etc, gouge the living ***** out of those people. - inactive, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3Why would someone not press charges? Hmmm. Maybe because she has been tramatized by some oger who ***** punched her in the face! and she's not thinking correctly. She was driving without a license, not robbing a ***** bank.
- asus2000, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3Pop that with a pin and you'll end up with about a pint of splooge on your face.
