- bpeterson82, on 10/11/2007, -9/+53I have to say, THAT'S NOT FUNNY! Don't EVER scare me like that....I almost threw a party!!
- DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -3/+26If Bush would have seen that on TV, he probably would have thought that he was actually resigning.
- ChronicColonic, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21CNN's wishful thinking exposed...
- pintomp3, on 10/11/2007, -5/+23pretty much everyone's wishful thinking (save 28%)
- JCSaint, on 10/11/2007, -6/+17Yeah but then the realization that we'd be stuck with Richard "Big Dick" Cheney for the next year and a half would set in.
::shudders:: - DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11Damnit....now what am I going to do with a truckload of beer?
- OneHine, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9"But Riiiiichard! You said I could stay until the end of my term!"
- marcushe, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7That kinda felt like getting dumped.
- DarkDragon, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7Nancy Pelosi
- silicon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi would be next in line if Cheney got impeached.
- marketnet, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7"CNN International's CNN Today program, airing at midnight Eastern, led with the graphic 'Bush Resigns.' Of course, they meant 'Blair Resigns.' Freudian slip on the part of a network accused of anti-Americanism?"
Someone at CNN goofed! - RooDoG, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4That would have made the perfect April Fools joke. I about ran outside naked doing jumping jacks and yelling erratically.
- zelig, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8Kate Bush won't sing any more?
- mrASSMAN, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I would have canceled all my plans and just ran out onto the streets cheering for hours. And the people would sing lullabies out into the night.. and all would be perfect the next day.
- mvent2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Is it just me or has this disappeared from the front page?
- Rhapsodys, on 10/11/2007, -4/+7Hey, if Bush did resign, and then Cheney got impeached, who's next in line?
- michaelb1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Ditto. Don't ever ***** do that again and thank you.
For 2 seconds I felt like the America wasn't broken. - TLAKABM, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Wouldn't that make her the first female president? Or acting president? (I'm not american so I don't really know how it would work.)
- mvent2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Lets see if this will get 2000+ diggs from the suckers who read the title alone....
- morrislevy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Friggin a, way to ruin my high hopes it was true. [Buried for innacuracy]. Lame. Don't ever give me a heart-attack again.
- laxwrestler87, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2actually if bush resigned im fairly sure cheney would waste no time in appointing a vice president who would then become president instead of pelosi if he was impeached.
- JasonCox, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2This will get dug up faster then the iPhone and that hex code combined.
- noahhoward, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Don't joke... I was really close.
- motsque, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Curses! You tease!!
- ICasualty, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2damn...i was getting excited.
if only it was true. - BasicShape, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Oh, happy days!...if only it were true.
- dawg109, on 10/11/2007, -5/+6It would be a big party too. 9 out of 10 you invited would come.
- mozillaman0, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Does this mean that Fox news has to run a "Ted Turner Has Died" banner for 11 seconds?
- noahhoward, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Damn.
Actually if you read the line under it I think they actually meant it. The way they wrote it had to be intentional but it is talking about formally ending the war with N. Korea. 'Bush resigns the war' is more appropriate. - treed, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I love how Nancy Pelosi can be the answer to the question "Who's next in line?" as well as the question "Now what am I going to do with a truckload of beer?"
- eezzzz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That feeling I had for a few seconds must be how it feels to install Ubuntu... only.. you feel it all the time. Bastards.
- slave25637, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1oh, CNN, you know how i like to be teased....
- snipes, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That would be insanely bittersweet if he did...
Then Dick would be the puppet... - Slacker101, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Oh harhar.
- polybot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Interesting to see the video this website is peddling about writing for the internet. Studies show that users don't actually read web content, just scan it. This explains a lot, like selective use of information and made to order stories that your average reader laps up.
- abid786, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1"Damnit....now what am I going to do with a truckload of beer?"
Drink it? - Bcodms, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0A local newscast director in Iowa once remarked. "Ready to downstream. downstream. Loose it. Change your still."
***** like this doesn't get on the air without about three people involved, the chyron operator, the technical director, and the director. That my friends constitutes a conspiracy in most jurisdictions. - ThndrShk2k, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3"Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi would be next in line if Cheney got impeached."
Is that really any better?
May be the Dem. leader of the house, but still. - Kelgann, on 10/11/2007, -3/+0Just goes to show you how idiotic the media conglomerates really are.
Also, they love to skew the polls to show whatever they want to be true, too.
