- fightingforair, on 01/07/2009, -11/+84It makes me so sick to see these religious zealots trying to take the high ground with their religious angle. Its so easy for them to substitute any leader's name into any conflict they want to have at their bidding and to serve their needs.
- jsqurred, on 01/07/2009, -9/+73al-Zawahiri and his zealots blame everyone but themselves. They call for a world caliphate but we all know that even if that happens, they would fight amongst themselves like the dogs they are. They are driven by hate because they hate themselves.
- Alheithinn, on 01/07/2009, -14/+74Of course they blame Obama. This country's fundamentalists have already blamed Obama for the economic crisis, and now Islamic fundamentalists blame him for a war Obama was not in office to influence. No surprise there.
- Lucas123, on 01/07/2009, -9/+62What a surprise. Did we really think their rhetoric for justifying their hatred and violence was going to change?
- tattertech, on 01/07/2009, -6/+49But that doesn't make any sense. All the neocons were telling me a vote for Obama is a vote for Al Qaeda...
- ansatsu29, on 01/07/2009, -24/+57Al-Zawahiri and his ***** al-qaeda have forgotten that Israel alone is responsible for this attacks, not Obama.
This proves that Al-Qaeda are nothing more than pathetic, goat-herding idiots from the Middle East. Not to mention, dumb ***** too.
F*** you Al-Zawahiri. F*** you Al-Qaeda.
May you rot in hell. - Hetman, on 01/07/2009, -6/+30Obama could be the indirect reason for Israel attacking. As The daily show pointed out. Israel cannot be 100% for sure how the new administration is going to interact with them. They already know that the Bush administration will back almost anything Israel does. So attacking before the 20th could be a way of securing American support. This has nothing to do with Obama directly but it could have something to do with changing political parties in washington.
- Drahkar, on 01/07/2009, -3/+26I like how they are trying to blame someone who doesn't even have any ability to do anything in the government and won't for several more weeks. Apparently Obama is doing things by controlling Bush and his administration using telepathy before taking over.
- Rivetgeek, on 01/07/2009, -3/+25uh yah, hamas shooting ***** rockets has nothing at all to do with it..
- charm803, on 01/07/2009, -11/+32These bastards deserve hell on earth.
It's unfortunate that the ones suffering through it all are not the ones that deserve it.
Religion is killing you guys. WAKE THE FVCK UP! - ChrisOrr, on 01/07/2009, -25/+45Al CIA-duh
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -1/+18They are only 99% sure the Obama administration will treat them just like the Clinton one did! ;-)
- ironhide, on 01/07/2009, -13/+29Are Al Qaeda Republicans? They're blaming Obama and he isn't even in office yet.
- Celeborn27, on 01/07/2009, -1/+17http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wppjYDj9JUc
Watch this video and you'll give up trying to argue with religion fanatics. - GhostyBoy, on 01/07/2009, -13/+29The media and U.S. officials have taken to labeling any resistance against U.S. interests as Al-Qaeda.
The term has no credibility and is just used to drum up fear and an emotional response. - theviceroy, on 01/07/2009, -0/+13and a vote for Hamas!
- BetaRaySam, on 01/07/2009, -0/+12Who really cares? He might as well say that it was caused by pubic lice from outer space. These messages aren't really for us or really for anyone who isn't completely ***** crazy.
- kingmanic, on 01/07/2009, -1/+13Of all the powerful oppressive manipulative world powers, I think America is the one who does the least harm. It would still suck to be under America's thumb but it's much better than the Russian or Chinese thumb. Less competent and less openly vicious.
- manjas8, on 01/07/2009, -4/+16There will never be peace in the Middle East.
- Lucas123, on 01/07/2009, -11/+22Help me out here. Which one of those twice attempted to destroy the World Trade Center, and on the second attempt, hijacked four jets filled with innocent people and flew them into buildings, killing thousands more innocent men, women, and children? Which one of those is seeking to annihilate any country that doesn't agree with its religious beliefs? Which one of those believes women are inferior to men and should be in considered second-class servants. Which one of those promotes the brainwashing of teens and young adults into strapping bombs to themselves and blowing themselves up in marketplaces, hotels and malls? America and Israel defend themselves against the constant threat of attack by people who hate freedom and Democracy. You can argue that America has overreacted or have been misguided in those attacks, but don’t even attempt to turn that into terrorism. It doesn’t fly. If you can't tell the difference between Al Qaeda, Bush and Israel, you're either purposely decieving yourself or you truly are blind.
- spyd3rweb, on 01/07/2009, -0/+11They get internet in their caves?
- fightingforair, on 01/07/2009, -1/+12You gotta see it from their perspective. Religion isn't killing them, its saving them and rushing the (man-made) apocalypse. Death is thumbs up!
The day they see a negative in their view of religion is the day that lawyers won't be needed. Never going to happen. - GhostyBoy, on 01/07/2009, -1/+11I don't know, all these terrorist groups have too many z's and q's in the name. They sound very harsh.
That's where Hamas has the edge. The soft h and m have a soothing quality to them, you know like maybe it's just a pillow company, or the name of someone's pet sheep....also it sounds kind of like Hummus, and I don't think anyone, terrorist or otherwise, would dispute the fact that Hummus is delicious. - gibbawho, on 01/07/2009, -1/+10a year? ... um ... are you retarded or just don't watch the news? Obama had been a US Senator for 4 years. He hasn't been a senator since november 4th
- moxley, on 01/07/2009, -0/+9"The Base" EG a database of foreign muhjahadeen fighters recruited during the US proxy war with Russia in Afghanistan.
- garryw, on 01/07/2009, -3/+12I would dunk that guys head in the water all day and not lose any sleep over it.
- gonzo1082, on 01/07/2009, -2/+11what a bunch of ***** morons.
- FreddieD, on 01/07/2009, -0/+8Haha, Obama sure has taken a beating in today's news. First the conservative crew spent all morning beating on him about his RIAA judge selection, now Al Qaeda is all up his ass before he even takes the job.
- bigfinger, on 01/07/2009, -4/+13So it wasn’t the 6 years of rockets fired into Israel? Oh man, I had it all wrong, what was I thinking, those most of been care packages they were sending.
- ChristianBk, on 01/07/2009, -1/+10Awesome. It's easy to replace Bush = Obama for terrorists. I mean, this really just screams, "We don't care about America's leadership - they're evil!"
Morons. - coldeh, on 01/07/2009, -4/+13By responding to these attacks with thoughtless anger you are making them win even more. Look at what happened to America as a result of the 9/11 attacks, they introduced things like the "Patriot Act" which violates us more than the attackers could ever have done.
- akchrs, on 01/07/2009, -3/+12I think some people are in for a rude awakening. Al Qaeda hates liberals too!!
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+8For their next message, they plan on blaming the winners of the 2012, 2016, and 2020 elections too.
- superkendall, on 01/07/2009, -1/+9What did Obama say about the rocket attacks while he was in Israel, in the very town being hit:
"If someone was sending rockets on my house where my daughters were sleeping at night, I would do everything to stop it"
https://www.ajn.com.au/news/news.asp?pgID=5910
That to me is implicit approval of the counterattack Israel is currently engaged in - and a position I think is the moral one. To claim you should sit and do nothing while rockets are fired at you is absurd. - transfire, on 01/07/2009, -1/+9Why do you people even believe any of this drivel?
- serif69, on 01/07/2009, -3/+11This is pretty funny. A few months ago this comment thread would have been chock full of comments agreeing with Al Qaeda's message blaming Bush. Now that Al Qaeda's blaming Obama, everyone's either all up in arms or simply doesn't care.
- stix213, on 01/07/2009, -1/+9While I didn't support Obama, he has about 2 more weeks until I consider blaming him for the plight of the world.
- inactive, on 01/07/2009, -0/+8A U.N. agency is demanding Israel back up its claims that Hamas was firing on Israeli forces from a U.N. school compound in northern Gaza, forcing Israeli artillery to shell the area and kill more than 40 Palestinian civilians.
"We have nothing to hide," U.N. Relief and Works Agency spokesman Chris Gunness said. "Bring it on. We want to see the evidence, we want to clear any suspicion."
Gunness said based on UNRWA's investigation, the agency is "99.9 percent certain" there were no Palestinian militants in or on the grounds of the school that was sheltering civilians when it was shelled by Israeli forces.
"If there's any doubt, can anyone come forward (and) give us the evidence?" Gunness demanded. "The Israeli army is circulating ancient pictures, which allegedly show militants using our compound. It's an old set of pictures to show a new case. It doesn't work."
http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/meast/01/07/israel.g ... - h3lx, on 01/07/2009, -0/+8I've grown tired of this, can't they* think up something a little more original. May be a bit more entertaining too. I mean, whose writing this *****, it all reads like a Rumsfeld.
*Military Industrial Complex (some tin-foil required). - DHTamus, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6Yeah, Karl Rove would totally agree with you. But hold on he's releasing spy's real names to the press.
- Groblisk, on 01/08/2009, -0/+8I bet Al-Zawahiri read that post and cried for 3 hours.
- quaxon, on 01/07/2009, -1/+9No, they are sure Obama will back them 100% as well, as he promised them here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cOJNC2EuJw - ramilehti, on 01/07/2009, -2/+10Al Qaeda message on CNN...
My immediate thought was: It must be fake. - krahzee, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7Commenting does nothing but bad. If he agrees with Bush he get criticized for it, if he disagrees it hurts his mantra of working with the Bush admin to have a smooth transition of power.
- IphtashuFitz, on 01/07/2009, -3/+10Unfortunately religious zealots and their followers don't care about petty things like facts.
- FallenTurtles, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6For other highly intelligent remarks from Me039, like:
"Closet Fag with AIDS......or victim of a disease? ....only his hairdresser knows!" (in reference to Steve Jobs)
... please click for his profile now! - HumanNouveau, on 01/07/2009, -2/+9al-Qaeda grows fairly directly from CIA sponsored counter-insurgents supported by the CIA during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. To be sure, there were other influences, but we did a lot to energize this. Made sense at the time from the Cold War frame of mind. USG failed to put away its tools when it was done...
- EricAnderton, on 01/07/2009, -0/+7Look guys, the psychology of this mess breaks down like this:
1) Really tiny radical faction wants more power for itself.
2) Said faction picks a fight with a country who's stature/power/might resembles the level they wish to achieve.
3) Target country retaliates and draws blood
4) Radical faction claims they are a credible threat to the target by virtue of being engaged in a fight
And now for the current, and final steps:
5) Radical faction claims moral superiority by way of relative body counts, political and religious propaganda.
6) Radical faction wins additional support for it's cause.
Rinse and repeat. - diggafrica, on 01/07/2009, -1/+8If the U.S had concentrated it's resources, intelligence and power towards Al Qaeda, they would have been crushed by now. It's a shame all this war on terror went to a country which had never attacked America or even has links with Al Qaeda.
