- pnkearns, on 06/15/2008, -13/+54Afghanistan states it will start following Pakistan-based militants back to their homes in Pakistan after being attacked. Pakistan whines it cannot control its own people.... and Afghanistan shouldn't come into Pakistan. Is Pakistan a government or not?
- bokep, on 06/15/2008, -6/+37A country as unstable as Afghanistan shouldn't even think about threatening another country, especially one with nukes.
- statuescrumble, on 06/15/2008, -5/+29Lol at Afghanistan issuing a warning to anybody
- ICSU, on 06/15/2008, -4/+25USAfghanistan has nukes too.
- Cheezeburgar, on 06/15/2008, -3/+22Think of it this way what if there was a militia attacking U.S citizens and then quickly going to Mexico or to Canada to take cover? What would Bush do?
Now I know that Afghanistan is weak and unstable but the concept still applies. - youareretarded, on 06/15/2008, -3/+18Oh god that was funny!
At first I thought you were just another douche making some random post but then I looked at the picture attached to the headline and I couldn't stop laughing.
Nice one;) - nickycakes, on 06/15/2008, -10/+25warning pakistan: i will crush you between my fingers like THIS
- mfingers, on 06/15/2008, -2/+16Well if you understand the historical nature of area you will come to the point that nobody in history has been able to control this particular area not even British. These border people have their own laws and live by their own they are just part of Pakistan due because govt. provides compensation to remain part of Pak.

- inactive, on 06/15/2008, -1/+11This does happen. It's called Mexican drugs gangs and Mexican Military giving them protection. They shoot at Immigration officers and US citizens on a regular basis. Mexico and US officials do nothing.
- superkendall, on 06/15/2008, -0/+10Look at Digg. In a totally virtual world where there is really nothing to fight over, flame wars are epic in scope. Why should you expect real people in the real world to behave so differently?
- Slides, on 06/15/2008, -0/+8Does Karazai even control his own country outside of Kabul?
- tapo, on 06/15/2008, -0/+8Indonesia, which also happens to be the fourth largest country in the world.
- Briandrews15, on 06/15/2008, -2/+9thats like saying "no offence, but youre stupid."
you cant say your not doing something then go onto do it moron. - Tangaroa, on 06/15/2008, -0/+6Obama is the "I'm not anti-war, I'm against a dumb war" candidate. His enemies have stretched the fact that he is willing to use diplomacy at all to paint him as some kind of pacifist when he is not.
- neosublime, on 06/15/2008, -1/+6Don't even start that crap. That ***** was happening 2000 years ago too.
- PeppermintPig, on 06/15/2008, -0/+5Digging you up for correctly referring to the proxy nature of US control over Afghanistan's government.
- hmunkey, on 06/15/2008, -0/+5Don't use Digg as an example. Sure we argue, but no one here would kill someone else because they said you were wrong.
The Middle East is ***** up. Enough said. - ICanRead, on 06/15/2008, -2/+7The US has an open border on the North and South. Are we a government?
Did Pakistan threaten that piss-ant Karzai after all those Afghanis and Taliban streamed into their country to avoid the bombing raids? No, b/c Karzai is a puppet. And normal humans have empathy for other humans who are suffering and homeless.
I do not blame them for growing Poppy seeds. Nothing else grows and they need to feed their families aka "Pay the bills."
What is the US doing to help Improve Afghanistan in the last 5 years? Building military bases where Afghanis are not permited to encroach..
Our policies are crap. Look at Cuba. Screw the US.. I am travelling there. - inactive, on 06/15/2008, -1/+5ummmm....why don't you kill yourself instead.....
- superkendall, on 06/15/2008, -3/+7Intelligently applied force as opposed to the random kind used previously) has made Iraq almost stable against all odds.
Force is not always the answer, but equally you cannot say force is never the answer. Being human sometimes force is all that people will listen to, and to ignore that very real basic fact of human behavior is simply foolhardy. - superkendall, on 06/15/2008, -1/+5You totally ignore the history of Iraq in trying to paint the US as the sole perpetrator of violence, or in any claim that the U.S. application fo force there had absolutely no initial cause.
Would you similarly argue the US or UN should pull all military aid out of Darfur because they have not done anything directly against us?
And by the way, it is not me who dugg you down. - n0odles, on 06/15/2008, -2/+6More like US puppets Afghanistan to attack Pakistan.
- ZenMojo, on 06/15/2008, -0/+4"What Would Bush do?" Tell me what he wouldn't do, then how about we use that as a guide to living. Slap it on a bracelet or something.
- NetProphet1, on 06/15/2008, -0/+3Let's see: Barack Obama made a comment, immediately after the murder of Benazir Bhutto, quite rambunctiously about going into Pakistan to maintain order. (Rather odd of him - the no-war at any price candidate to have made a public statement!).
I would say, Mr. Karsai is setting up the players for America's next President !
Will Obama find Osama in the Pakistani-disputed territory of Kashmir? - 4321234, on 06/15/2008, -1/+4From Canada or Mexico??
mmmmmmmmmmmm.....
attack Iraq. - ZenMojo, on 06/15/2008, -0/+3Mexicans do a pretty good job of keeping American cops from crossing into their country chasing drug dealers. How ironic is this?
- Elsewhere42, on 06/15/2008, -0/+3Don't be stupid. There has never been a time without wars or rumors of wars.
- Cheezeburgar, on 06/15/2008, -1/+4No.
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 06/15/2008, -0/+3No, one is corrupt as all hell, doesn't value education, is barbaric about women's rights, and interprets the Koran way too literally..... and the other is corrupt as hell, doesn't value education, is barbaric about women's rights, and interprets the Koran way too literally AND really hates India.
- Hangly, on 06/16/2008, -0/+2As if the government of Afghanistan could operate independently of Washington.
- TemplarCrosland, on 06/16/2008, -0/+3I do not think you appreciate the situation. I spent 15 months in Afghanistan (US Army, SGT) only returning home in December of 2007. The Afghan people HATE the Pakistani's. They blame them for just about all their woes and to some degree they are correct. Also they still believe that the land in question belongs to them, regardless of what the border says.
I was in the Khowst Province as a PMT (Police Mentor Trainer) and my Interpreter actually told me he would not join the ANA (Afgahan National Army) due to the poor pay, but would join in a minute if war with Pakistan was declared. My 'terp was a Pashtu which is the largest tribe in Afghanisitan amd that feeling was pretty spread throughout so this is not just some small tribes beef. If this escalated into a larger scenario, or a border dispute I beleive we could see a pretty bad situation. And remember the ANA was trained by the US Army, Canadian and British Armies. And is equipped by the western world. This is hardly a LOL situation. - theghoul, on 06/15/2008, -8/+11Wars and rumors of wars.
- sodade, on 06/16/2008, -0/+2Why the ***** would we want Afghanistan as a client state? The Russians tried and failed, so why the hell would we?
(hint: it is all about endless war and feeding the MIC) - nyr633, on 06/16/2008, -0/+1for those condoning this, think of mexico or columbia invading the united states, guns blazing and bombs dropping, in the unrealistic HOPE of catching some drug cartel.... Kind of puts it in perspective right?
- Phosphan, on 06/16/2008, -0/+2Malaysia. Note: You ARE stereotyping. Think about it. It's true.

- ICanRead, on 06/21/2008, -0/+2I am impressed. I only know a handful of people In Afghanistan and they never.. I mean never step out of the military bases. They suffer from extreme Cabin Fever.
You have at least taken advantage of your new position in the world to learn something about your surroundings.
I was always under the impression that the Taliban hated the Pakistanis due to their alliance with the US. The Afghanis have never shown this hate, but they were pissed b/c they felt the Taliban were supported by the Pakistani Government.. - NonLeftistDiggr, on 06/17/2008, -0/+1blah blah blah, go find a night club and blow it up.
- schnikies79, on 06/15/2008, -2/+4Think before you reply. how ignorant
Their culture and the tribes they are a part of are a lot older than the country. - NonLeftistDiggr, on 06/17/2008, -0/+1Thank you, Thank you, he'll be here all night representing the depth of Berkley political opinion
- codefreaq, on 06/15/2008, -0/+2He made these comments after taliban held under his govt. broke out of jail and ran across the border into Pakistan. Using Karzai's logic is there any reason pakistan shouldn't attack afghanistan for letting terrorists run into their country in the first place.
- TemplarCrosland, on 06/16/2008, -0/+2That was funny. It is it you understand the dual meaning of Afghan.
- mizraabianz, on 06/16/2008, -1/+3Karzai is ***** crazy to threat Pakistan. I born and raised in Peshawar (Near afghan border) and I tell you with my experience, Peshawar was very peaceful city when I was growing up but when these afghans started to come to our country, Crimes started to rise. He should be thankful to Pakistan that we took so many Afghan refugees. Afghans and US is biggest culprit of all the issue Pakistan is facing form past 3, 4 years. We never heard of suicidal attacks and bomb blasts before their interference in our region.
