Dear American,
I'm sorry I can no longer make every web page specifically for you. We had a great run, there were some fun times and some great porn, I liked how you trusted me with your personal information an comprimising photos. But I've found so many other people, there are whole other countries out there with people who have their own interests and needs. I just can't devote myself to you alone anymore. Please forgive me,

Avoid flash young cowboys by finding a "mature" handyman. It provides experienced and reliable workers for plumbing, electrical work, gardening and carpentry jobs. Best of all, it's an Age Positive employer.
Feels like I might not want to surf to that one at work. - REBELinBLUE, on 10/11/2007, -9/+30Cry me a bloody river. There is a world outside US you know. You don't see those of us living in the rest of the world bitching about certain articles being US only. ;)
Have no use for it? Simple, don't digg it. - Scopitone, on 10/11/2007, -8/+28Only in the wee hours of the morning whilst America sleeps could this UK specific story make it to the front page!
- chrisc262, on 10/11/2007, -7/+26101 really useLESS websites
- REBELinBLUE, on 10/11/2007, -10/+25edit - wrong reply please bury
- yohan, on 10/11/2007, -5/+20Come on, no need to steal jokes from Family Guy... that would be too ironic! :D
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+17Hey M3RCINIAN,
You're right, there are a lot of obese Americans. But *this* one is not and he agrees with phoephus.
I was hoping to find some useful sites. Granted, some of them are not location specific. But most of them are pretty useless unless you live in the UK... Buried. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -8/+21"The invention of the internet: Tim Berners-Lee (born London England)"

You have shone my the light! I just looked at a map and there are other countries in the world. So from now on when I see an article on digg with the title "101 Really Useful Websites" I will assume it is equally useful for people EVERYWHERE in the world. And if I find a bunch of sites of use for only a particular geographic region I will title my submission : "Breaking:Top Amazingly Useful Sites For[enter geographic region here] !!! NSFW". - meatmcguffin, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14Yeah, because it's certainly the Brits who have a reputation for stupidity in the World.
Oh wait.... - tizz66, on 10/11/2007, -7/+17From a UK newspaper? NO WAY!!
Makes a change from the solely American 'top 10 xyz in the world' lists. - alexg05, on 10/11/2007, -10/+18I live in the UK, dugg down as inaccurate!
- Markpdotcom, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7I like how, with three short words, he confirmed everyone outside of the USA's view of America :D
The comments in this thread are so funny... how many more American's are going to complain that the sites aren't related to America? :D Ah well, at least they RTFA :D - frogpelt, on 10/11/2007, -5/+11@M3RCINIAN
News flash!
The world doesn't revolve around the UK either! - dmclone, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7This would be great information on www.digg.uk
Just kidding. I've was in England and Italy last year and loved every second. London sure is pricey though. The hotels wre defently not made for us tall/fat americans. $300/night and I could barely fit in the bathroom. - drewhenson, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7dugg for Fox News being NSFW
- LucidDr34m3r, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Can't the same be said about people in London? I mean, if it is listed as a "really useful website", shouldn't it be something useful to people everywhere? I bet the parent poster would have said the same thing if it listed parking spots in L.A. The fact is, it's not useful to many people, and making a joke about it not being really useful if you live in New York pretty legit. What if he said he lived in Berlin? Would he be an ***** then too?
Everyone looks for new ways to bash us Americans. Give us some god damn slack. - Markpdotcom, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4And still, the retards come... didn't you see then tens of comments exactly like this above your post? Most of which are hours old. You lose. YOU LOSE AT LIFE! :D
- nuxx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3SPOILER: only useful if you live in the UK.
- meatmcguffin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4@MikeonTV
Remember who your Queen is, eh? - dobba, on 10/11/2007, -7/+10Say wha'? Digg's not just for US users? Get outta here!
American friends: we know it's the premise and policy of your government (I didn't say people!) to only tread on other nations around the world but there is a vast world outside the US and variety is the spice of life afterall, otherwise Digg becomes nothing more than the blinkered version of Fox news.
Which would be bad. - Bloodfall158, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1The website showing, the "101 useful websites" was more "useful" than that list..
- anabanana, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2To be honest, most of these are just as useless for people in the UK as they are for Americans...
- kuzotz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'm from oklahoma, and we always get the dumb articles even though we are mostly pro-evolution.......
Like that one digg article about the watermelon now being our state veggie.
So many ignorant responses about oklahoma. I hated it, and I come to understand that ignorant people are everywhere(not just americans either.. Having spending some time traveling internationally I have ran into a lot of ignorant people).. - Splutterbug, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Lots of sites on the list I've never heard of which is always a good thing. It's not a UK exclusive list but is from a UK newspaper so it does have a heavy bias.
- SonoIlPadrino, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Mandarin has the most native speakers, but when combining native and non-native, English is considered the most widely spoken. I say considered because some argument exists over the number of non-native speakers due to disagreement over what level of proficiency and mastery qualifies one as a speaker. In addition, English tends to be the dominant language in business, politics, communications, science, aviation, entertainment and diplomacy. In addition, many careers, professions, and occupations require English proficiency regardless of geographical location.
- kuzotz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Not to bash on the UK, but even the rest of the EU sees you guys as weirdos. BTW I know the UK isn't apart of the EU...
- bobcatred, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Wow, way to turn a simple submission into WWIII guys.
Last I checked, the US and the UK were still supposed to be allies.
Given the potentially international usage of digg, mentioning that it was UK-centric in the summary might have been helpful and possibly kept the cat-fight from starting in the comments... - dave830, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2wow. how wound up do you have to be to let numbers wreck your day.
- TordBoontje, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1My friend told me about a website called don't date him girl. I now check the site before I date any man to see if he is posted. For example, there is a man at church Phil Kassel that acts like a saint in public but uses women for sex and money.. Websites like Don't Date Him Girl allow women to post a man's relationship history so other women can know and make better decisions about who they date.
- kuzotz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1well I translate it as.. Digg literally isn't on the same list as those other websites posted in the article...
but that could just be me.. - qishi, on 10/11/2007, -7/+7@ApolloXLII

Dear asshat,
thanks for assuming all americans are idiots. this forces everyone to lower the hurdles we have to jump in our daily lives. (were all fat too right?)
Your inability to judge people as people, rather than judging them by location, makes you no different than the stereotype your forcing on us.
in conclusion, take your limey ass back to london and shove your spot of tea up your ass. - kidtronic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Some website gems for kids/parents:

I am sooo tired of top 10 this, best 100 that, 40 must haves and so on. Inevitably these lists were written by people who confuse hype with substance.
especially when they include "life changing" or similar such nonsense. - bumfish, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2*****
