- mstachiw, on 09/21/2008, -3/+28I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been
- Starshope, on 09/21/2008, -3/+25My aunt and uncle went here for their honeymoon. My uncle still refers to it is as heaven on Earth.
If you can ignore the 500,000 Indian troops and insurgents involved in what seems like an endless struggle I guess it really is. - mediadonis, on 09/21/2008, -3/+23The second picture is just stunning!
- samukalra, on 09/22/2008, -0/+14THE WHOLE SATURATION.
- edwinjose, on 09/21/2008, -6/+19I miss my country now..
- omjeremy, on 09/22/2008, -0/+11Thanks... Now it makes sense. It's stupid.
- Shaggy3, on 09/22/2008, -0/+11Reminds me of Led Zeppelin..
- tehWhisp, on 09/21/2008, -11/+21It's hard to beat the Alps of Switzerland for me. Or Cinque Terre, Italy. But beautiful nonetheless.
- Half-Fast, on 09/21/2008, -3/+12If this photographer isn't working for National Geographic, he needs to be.
- EssPii, on 09/22/2008, -0/+9The places look beautiful, and I imagine that some of the original pictures looked great, but the processing leaves a lot to be desired. Color shifts and obvious haloing between light and dark transfers run rampant throughout the entire collection. Sometimes you need to let the beauty of a place speak for itself and not force it out with excessive post processing.

- knodi, on 09/22/2008, -4/+12No kidnapped tourists so its the Indian side.
- stardust, on 09/22/2008, -5/+13This is the Indian side, which has the beautiful Kashmir valley. The side Pakis stole has no beautiful places and no tourists go there.
Proof, one of the picture has a shop named "Indian Art Palace"
More proof, one of the picture has a Maruti Suzuki car with number plate starting with JK, which is for the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir.
Stop lying on digg Armughan Bin Sultan. - inactive, on 09/22/2008, -2/+9Oh let the sun beat down upon my face...

- driller131, on 09/22/2008, -0/+7Kashmir has got more character though. More so because of its history.
- nyeus, on 09/22/2008, -0/+7whoa! Looks like the photographer loves to use the psilocybin filter.
- typon1, on 09/22/2008, -0/+7Not at all. The weather is perfect and the wildlife is amazing.
I have been to the mosque you see in the picture, and the view from there is stunning. - TheGooseyOne, on 09/22/2008, -0/+7Came in here just to make sure there was a Zeppelin post. Well done.

- TheWorm, on 09/22/2008, -0/+6I read the whole thing, thinking there was going to be some stroke of genius at the end. It was just really dumb.

- Atsumori, on 09/22/2008, -2/+7I wonder how long it would take for something like McDonalds to come in and ruin it all....

- spect3r, on 09/22/2008, -0/+5How does that make it any less beautiful?
Yeah so London has gangs and it's not advisable to walk certain parts at night; does that make it any less inspiring? - sanman, on 09/22/2008, -0/+5My family comes from a place that's situated between Kashmir and Tibet, called Uttaranchal ("the Northland"). It's also pretty scenic:

Here's a picture of the Om Parvat:

As you can see, the mountain glacier forms the Om symbol.
Another amazing place to visit in the Himalayas is the Kingdom of Bhutan (Land of the ThunderDragon). Not only is the scenery amazing, but the people are amazingly friendly, orderly, etc.

- sms77, on 09/22/2008, -1/+6Um, actually Kashmir is part of India. The majority of its inhabitants are muslim, but its still part of India. Get your facts straight. Its kind of a big deal because thats what India and Pakistan have been fighting about for almost 60 years.
- omjeremy, on 09/22/2008, -8/+13I love India. :)
- MommaLu, on 09/21/2008, -2/+7Absolutely gorgeous.
- volume909, on 09/22/2008, -2/+6a little off-topic don't you think?
- jshooter1377, on 09/21/2008, -2/+6Breathtaking.
- darklights, on 09/22/2008, -1/+5Dr Who?
- inactive, on 09/22/2008, -2/+6China's part is very uninhabitable, it's definitely not China's part. Guessing by the pictures of what seems to be Dal Lake, this is Indian Kashmir.
Jai Hind! - loqqq, on 09/22/2008, -0/+4That's dangerous.
- ptFoe, on 09/22/2008, -0/+4As long as you magically avoid the fighting in Kashmir.
- rdoger6424, on 09/22/2008, -0/+3If it could be 30 seconds longer it could sync up with Led Zepplin's Kashmir
- c010rb1indusa, on 09/22/2008, -0/+3I am a traveler of both time and space
- nvisn, on 09/22/2008, -0/+4Some of the most beautiful women in the world are from Kashmir.
- streetsmart999, on 09/22/2008, -5/+8If u observe, there are not many people in the pictures... Cos Terrorist from across the border (pak) screwed the entire place... and no one bothers to go there anymore... Kidnappings, Killings and rapes of Innocent people are kind of daily routine for them.
- knodi, on 09/22/2008, -2/+6Right right the Islamic terrorist there are all Indian army.
- AltEfFour, on 09/22/2008, -0/+3To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen
