- mark076h, on 05/27/2009, -0/+19Here is a 360deg Panorama from the inside of it. http://digg.com/d1s1ZS
- soccernamlak, on 05/28/2009, -0/+18So wait, you're telling me that's a 360 degree image on the internet of a 360 degree image on the internet?
Yo dawg.... - chriswastaken, on 10/27/2009, -0/+14I don't think you can call it a Holodeck as it doesn't use Holograms.
Still cool as ***** though. - crashlock, on 05/28/2009, -0/+10Hmmm not a FULL 360 is it......? Slight hole there - more like a 315 degree :)
- viserov, on 05/28/2009, -0/+8You mean sex with a real person?
- chriswastaken, on 10/27/2009, -0/+7Your momma is so fat she fills all 360 degrees of Google's "Holodeck".
- jeremymccurdy, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6I don't see any pop-ups, or any ads at all on the page.
- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6just go outside. awesome resolution
- RiotHeart, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6i'd like to see hotter women then what I get in 360 degree.
- RiotHeart, on 05/28/2009, -1/+7I'm waiting for 360 degree pr0n
- HypocriteDigg, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6Would it make you feel better if they put quotes around Holodeck?
- SkippyDoorknob, on 05/28/2009, -0/+5My brain asplode
- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -0/+4It darkened my whole browser window, showed a progress bar, then popped the ad up front and center Vista-security-alert style (though I'm on XP). Closed it, and a page refresh didn't make it appear again, so it probably checks for a cookie. I clear cookies and do anti-virus and Adaware scans often, so I'm pretty sure it's from that site.
- yocouchdigga, on 05/28/2009, -0/+4what is this "sex" you speak of?
- Yankees368, on 05/28/2009, -1/+4Dugg for the creepy guy at the bottom of the image
- Homerr, on 05/28/2009, -0/+3Same place in Google Maps.
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8& ... - inactive, on 05/28/2009, -6/+9WARNING: page has a full-screen Firefox/Adblock resistant pop-up.
- pfhayter, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2***** want!
- jsmithers, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2WHAT'S INTERESTING about this is the resolution of the imagery. If you look at the pics it's clearly WAY higher resolution than what's delivered to your browser, even taking into account zooming in fully.
I mention this because the other day I virtually "walked" in streetview to a shop to check the window sign for opening times - and couldn't quite read it because the res. wasn't high enough. With this, I'm sure I could. - tgjerusalem, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2Yea, and if I could teleport spontaneously to Tokyo or London or my old home town any time I wanted to walk around to see it, that'd be awesome. But I can't. Hence the appeal of Google Street View. And I can't afford a walk-in 360° viewing chamber either, but *damn* it would be awesome if I could.
- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2It's really a 360° image on the internet of a machine that let's you view 360° images from a program that let's you view 360° images, taken by a car used to take 360° images, on the internet.
- yocouchdigga, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2I feel this is deserving of a Facepalm ASCII...
- chriswastaken, on 10/27/2009, -0/+2Yes.
- dazparkour, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2yeah but 180 degrees of porn only means you can look away...
- PixelMagic, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2Kasey, you have been compromised by malware.
Try using this...

If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you, but maybe some of these other fine gentleman can help. - thejav, on 05/28/2009, -0/+2Reading that description feels like time Reading that description felt like time travelling.
- dannymb877, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1Show me a Holodeck of that THEN I'll be impressed.
- BxBoy, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1We're that much closer to the Holodeck on the Enterprise.
Imagine porn on that thing. - Spire3660, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1Disappointing. Gaps are WAY too big.
- megapartyboy, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1we heard you liked the internets so...
- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -1/+2I'm not impressed. All they've done is place a row of screens along the inside of it. They didn't even bother to use curved screens.
- TwistyMcFister, on 05/28/2009, -2/+3Looks like the Disneyland attraction that no longer exists.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circle-Vision_360%C2% ... - SkippyDoorknob, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1The beaded curtain is a nice touch.
- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1I remember that. Made me nauseous as a kid!
- yehaww, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1it would be a lot more impressive if there wasn't a 5 foot gap in the back where the entrance is.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 05/28/2009, -0/+1There are still some Circle-Vision films at Disney World in Florida.
- rmferrer87, on 06/03/2009, -0/+0Ok so I'm gonna spend money on a plane ticket to visit Google HQ and use this thing rather than, oh i don't know, buy a ticket to the actual dream destination?
Fail. - wejmahtin, on 05/28/2009, -1/+1If you listen very closely you will hear me stroking unenthusiastically.
- FKnight, on 05/29/2009, -1/+1Dugg for good try.
- friendlykiller, on 05/28/2009, -0/+0I saw the one at the Canada pavilion in Epcot in 1999. It was amazing and it makes me still want to see canada. Pity though - I put the environment before my selfish desires :D
- ajlmo, on 05/29/2009, -0/+0Pfft...Canada did it first
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpfTLve5OlI - ayeroxor, on 05/28/2009, -4/+3It's called proofreading.
Buried. - inactive, on 05/28/2009, -1/+0Speaking of holodecks, I found this on the same site: http://www.360cities.net/image/enterprise-bridge
and from Worf's view: http://www.360cities.net/image/enterprise-bridge-a ...
also, borg: http://www.360cities.net/image/borg-chamber - rmferrer87, on 05/28/2009, -5/+0Wow this is so cool, I've never seen anything like it.
Except for when I'm walking.
Or driving.
Or looking out my window.
Yeah so cool.
