Commuters run up the down escalator to avoid rushhour backup

welovedc.com — In this amazing video, commuters getting off at the Foggy Bottom metro stop in Washington, DC were faced with up to 20 minute waits to climb the stairs of the only non-working up-escalator. Some impatient (very fit) riders fed up with the wait decided to venture up the down escalator, garnering cheers from others as they completed the long climb.
