- 666300, on 04/07/2009, -0/+4Alaska has an excellent landscape for photography.
- schmitey, on 04/07/2009, -0/+4I spent a summer as a commercial setnetter (for red salmon) off the beach in Clam Gulch. Redoubt was right across the water of Cook Inlet, it was ***** beautiful and a paid vacation! I'd love to go back and see what it looks like now. Oh, and there's Bald Eagles out the ass in that area...and clams of course! My view looked very similar to the first pic...though clearly not from the air and a bit to the west.
And an aside...that area has some of the strongest tides in the world. Some days the water would be lapping at the fire right next to the cabin, other days water at low tide would be a quarter mile down the beach. Its something else to see rocks exposed 15 foot out of the water close to a quarter mile off shore that aren't usually a problem!!! - bkraj, on 04/07/2009, -0/+4There should be a setting to auto-digg all boston.com photo galleries.
