- ashworth614, on 05/05/2009, -14/+32Great article! I fully agree with it and really hope we get a season 3.
- Acill, on 05/05/2009, -4/+21Its Fox networks, good luck. They seem to like killing off shows that have a cult following. Firefly anyone?
- BeatJunkieMario, on 05/05/2009, -19/+34Save TSCC! It's one of the best shows on television.
- Belial69699, on 05/05/2009, -11/+25This is one of those shows that is worth saving. Its along the lines of saving like Firefly was.
- Ertur, on 05/05/2009, -9/+23Best show since Firefly!
- executex, on 05/05/2009, -19/+33Must save Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles. Sci-Fi Sopranos indeed. Best Scifi on TV!!!
- thecrusader1981, on 05/05/2009, -13/+26Like this author, I was skeptical about this show too in the beginning. Perhaps not quite as much, and I was hooked onto it very quickly. This Season it has really soared! They must give us Season 3!
- kwanw, on 05/05/2009, -7/+18This is the best show on television and deserves a 3rd season! (and a 4th, and 5th etc.)
- serif69, on 05/05/2009, -7/+18Here comes the rain on this parade:
The networks don't care how big of a fan you are of a show, they just care if there are millions of people who watch it live so they can tell that to their advertisers. If you're not watching it live, you don't count as a viewer, they get less money, and can't continue making the show. Look at what happened with Family Guy. It was canceled after 3 seasons because the live viewing audience was so small. Fox only brought it back because of it having the second highest DVD sales in history; they realized they could make more money from DVD sales and merchandising than from advertising sales, and parlay that into higher ad placement costs. So unless TSCC suddenly jumps in ratings, or somehow proves to be a money maker in some other way, there is really no way to save it if the network has decided it can no longer support it. - Zable, on 05/05/2009, -19/+29Save TSCC! It's the best damn show ever made!
- SamG2020, on 05/05/2009, -7/+17Save TSCC! Season 2 was brilliant and the finale was incredible - we need a third season, and more!
- MisterBlah, on 05/05/2009, -0/+9Perhaps it would be a better idea for them to make this decision in a few months after Terminator: Salvation numbers have come in. It's a high profile action movie with a lead actor who is extremely popular right now. AND they're already planning to make two more Terminator movies to follow it up.
Maybe it's not the best idea to ditch a TV show that is tied to a high-exposure franchise that is about to become even higher profile in the next few years. Even if it isn't a direct tie-in, it shares the world and more importantly the name. - BobSutan, on 05/05/2009, -0/+8See, if you'd watched the show you wouldn't be saying this. Every premise of your post is WRONG.
I quit watching part way into the first season but my wife kept going. She told me how good it got, so I caught up on the DVR and HULU. Sure enough it's turned into a great show. It easily eclipses Heroes (pun intended), and opens up all kinds of possiblities for a 3rd season.
Also, people get killed. A LOT. Some you'd never expect! - Vorax07, on 05/05/2009, -8/+16Give me my Season 3
- bonsai78, on 05/05/2009, -0/+8It's interesting to see that this show not only has many enthusiastic fans but also really enthusiastic haters - I think that's saying a lot about its qualities in the field of evoking emotions ... ;) - oh, and btw: SAVE the SCC!
- MORPHEUSCATANA, on 05/05/2009, -0/+8Save Terminator! Bring show back!
- miksamkhin, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7TSCC must have season 3!!! We need TSCC!!!
- stanleyford, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7"The whole premise of a TV series undermines this." -- When I first heard of TSCC, I thought it was going to be like Xena--a way for bored people to pass an hour of time with cheesy writing and cheesy action sequences. It's surpassed my expectations in every way. Rather than being an explosion-fest where the main characters have to find a way to outwit the Terminator-of-the-week, it's a thoughtful exploration of what it means to live a life of constant fear. The Terminators in the show are better than one-note metal baddies; they're complicated characters in their own right, with their own (often mysterious) motivations, and one of the big themes in the show is how the human characters can never fully bridge the mental gap between themselves and the sentient Terminators, even when the Terminators are their supposed allies. TSCC has done something I never expected from a TV show about the Terminator franchise: it's made me think.
"You know the characters will survive from week to week. There's no danger for anyone but the secondary characters" -- Watch the second season. - daveymcwavey, on 05/05/2009, -1/+8Those corporate pencil pushing jotter blotting desk jockeys had better get it right and give us a third season!
- Vorax07, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7Why all these trolls hating on T:TSCC?
- AureatEagle, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7This show is absolutely worth saving.
- miksamkhin, on 05/05/2009, -0/+6TSCC must have season 3!!! We need TSCC!!!
- miksamkhin, on 05/05/2009, -0/+6TSCC must have season 3!!! We need TSCC!!!
- truck87bp, on 05/05/2009, -2/+8Are DVR's killing good programing at the Corporate Level ? Don't ignor DVR Data !
- JoeMerchant, on 05/05/2009, -2/+8Anything to do with Summer Glau?

- Munterfoxwiki, on 05/05/2009, -0/+6Spoiler alert!!!!
Trolls are retarded.............just in case you didn't know :)
TSCC needs a season 3, or more. - ginaswo, on 05/05/2009, -9/+14please SAVE TSCC!!!!!!!!!
- severus09, on 05/05/2009, -9/+14This show is amazing. It is one of the best hours of television. My heart pounds in my chest during certain episodes. I can't believe I'm watching network television.
- terminatra, on 05/05/2009, -11/+16Save TSCC!
- wiz0rian, on 05/05/2009, -10/+15Save THE SHOW, best show ever
- spear401, on 05/05/2009, -0/+5These trolls are all Chuck fans that have been totally pwned on every poll featuring shows that need renewing. Other than that, TSCC rules!
- ZuluSeven, on 05/05/2009, -10/+15Must... have... a season 3!!
- foomojive, on 05/05/2009, -1/+6Even if we're not watching it live, we're mostly watching it on Hulu I would think. Why bother to torrent anymore when you can watch a show on Hulu in full screen instantly and not worry about bad quality downloads, long wait times, and huge files cluttering your hard drive? My point is that we're still watching the advertising so we should be considered as eyes on the show!
- acephreak, on 05/05/2009, -7/+12TSCC SAVE!
- techno1ogic, on 05/05/2009, -14/+18SAVE TSCC!!!!
- Randomicity912, on 05/05/2009, -0/+4It's sad that people have so little of a life that they feel the need to go trolling articles supporting "rival shows". Terminator beat Chuck in all the polls fair and square. I heard Chuck got renewed anyway, or is going to be soon.
- kronzdigg, on 05/05/2009, -5/+9This is truly urgent. /s
- PizzaEagle, on 05/05/2009, -0/+4Unless they're all Nielsen families it wouldn't really matter
- cfuse, on 05/05/2009, -1/+5What? Did you just not read what you wrote? Days of Our Lives with self multilators would ***** rock!
- marvinlee, on 05/05/2009, -8/+12with all the fluff they've been putting out you would think that the execs
would realize when they have a hit instead of having to be reminded.
can we get some execs who watch there products and go into the the office
saying " watching it being produced doesn't do it justice"
keep it going for all our sakes. save yourselves from having to win us back.
save sara - kayosthery, on 05/05/2009, -0/+3I take exception to your sarcasm about my beloved show, but I thought your comment was funny.
Throw in an 8-ball and no strings attached sex and I'm sold. - yardie, on 05/05/2009, -0/+32 of the 3 shows you've selected are user-sponsored. The user pays directly for those shows to be produced so we have much more feedback and greater influence of a show. Since the contracts are done way in advanced you get things like multiseasonal story archs and more intense plots. I'm pretty sure the sopranos or the wire without the sex, drugs, or violence would suck on network television (obvious exception is the shield).
And don't forget LOST lost its way going into season 3. Some viewers just got frustrated and walked away. The network hasn't convinced them to comeback.
TSCC was the opposite. The first season was underwhelming the second get much better. I am really hoping for a 3rd but the target audience has a proclivity for DVRs and bittorrents. Something the advertisers (the ones who really pay for the shows) doesn't want. - UselessTrivia, on 05/05/2009, -0/+3Unfortunately they don't have the luxury of a few months. They need to decide their fall lineup very shortly so that those programs can go into production. Especially if they require new shows to replace cancelled ones, because a new show needs a longer pre-production period to get rolling.
If they don't keep it, the best they can do is put it "on hold" until the spring, or potentially decide to bring it back as a fall replacement series in case a new show bombs out quickly.
It's an expensive proposition, though, because if you don't retain your cast and crew, the show will suffer for it, and they'll all scatter into the wind if you don't have them on a contract. So it costs some minimum amount of money just to keep the show in limbo for a few extra months. Tough to make an investment like that in this economy, when the networks are bleeding pretty profusely from every angle. - IphtashuFitz, on 05/05/2009, -1/+4Keep dreaming... Mal now has a regular paycheck from the series "Castle". Wash has his own series in development. The others have also gone on to other projects as well. The chances of Firefly coming back are slim to none, with none far in the lead.
- Elijah17, on 05/05/2009, -4/+7I know you'll get dugg down for that comment, and I will too for the one I wrote directly above it, but it's the complete truth.
The standards of viewers has really slipped in the past years. More so than normal, at least. This show is absolutely wretchedly, stupidly, idiotically, completely and utterly moronic.
A waste of time, space, money, breath, and whatever feeble minds actually enjoy this mediocre trash. - inactive, on 05/05/2009, -3/+6Fox is the only network that even took a risk on these shows to begin with do you not give them credit for that?
- weeFred, on 05/05/2009, -0/+3I think it would have been better if they'd focused more on John's training in central America rather than the new terminator/resistance fighter weekly model. Killing loads of terminators in the series just makes the terminators have less impact.
