- daveddd, on 10/11/2007, -2/+49About frellin time
- dprogo, on 10/11/2007, -2/+32Brilliant. Can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to this.
Hope the quality is decent and they can get the cast back together. - GiJoeBob, on 10/11/2007, -6/+31When do we get the return of Firefly? Pretty please?
- gopher043, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19It's awesome that there will be some new Farscape webisodes, but why not just put it back on the SciFi channel where it belongs. Their Friday night lineup used to be so killer. Now evertime I tune it it's either "Attack of the Were-Mummy" or "Crockapotamus Escapes!".
Where has all the good sci-fi gone that made SciFi Channel great? - tboutcher, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13"Lock up the women and hide the fried chicken!" -John Crichton
- RealmDown, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13Hopefully this will happen before the channel officially gets renamed to "The Horror Channel with Wrestling"
- Jambi, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14I take it you were never a fan of Labyrinth or Dark Crystal as a kid? Those 'muppets' look a hell of a lot more alien to me than 1,000 variations of some guy with a weird forehead.
- Jodel, on 10/11/2007, -3/+14Farscape never went away. It's just called StarGate:SG-1 now.
Incidentally, those two in SG:SG1 has never sat well with me. I can't disassociate them from their Farscape characters. - Baku, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12"The series will revive and expand the beloved Farscape universe,"
So basically, none of the original cast will return.... Oh joy. :( - CaptMonkey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9I'm still excited about it, even if it lacks some of the original cast. It's understandable if all of the cast doesn't return, but I would be shocked if none of them came back. Missing some of them is not a bad thing though, it's probably for the best.
The John Crichton/Moya crew arc is essentially over at the end of the Peacekeeper Wars. Sure, they can keep going around the galaxy "in search of adventure" or something lame like that, but the driving force behind the original series is no more. John has had the wormhole technology removed from his brain, the Peacekeepers aren't after them anymore, Rygel is ruler of Hyneria again, John and Aeryn have a baby, and D'argo is dead. The show as it was before can't exist anymore. If they make something new, it will need to be different in order to make any sense. - Jambi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9To be honest, I'd tune in to watch "Crockapotamus Escapes!" just for the title.
- drlha, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10What they're not telling you is that to save costs, all parts now will be played by Muppets.
Actually, that would be pretty cool. - clockpolitiks, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Hopefully they'll eventually bring back the show for full episodes. Ben Browder and Claudia Black are out of a job aren't they? Now that SG-1 is gone?
- archlich, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Sorry, that's been Foxed. We'll never see it again. =(
- pushmouse, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8It had a GOOD run? I think you should look up "good" in the dictionary. Firefly got screwed.
- KiSA, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I'd love to see it, but I will miss any non-returning cast members. I saw a commercial for an NBC show 'life' which I think star Claudia Black in it. It just wouldn't be the same Farscape without both Ben Browder and Claudia Black
- shadowspawn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7My g/f liked her soap operas.
I liked Farscape. - positron, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7They spent the budget on wrestling...
- dylantp20, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6This isn't about sg1 which hasn't been half the show farscape was since about season 7. Farscape is to this day one of my two favorite tv shows with the other being of course firefly I just wish we'd get something more than webisodes.
- andy206uk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Four words: Wooooo mother ***** hoooooooooo!!!
Can't wait - Love farscape! - Sifl, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9I dugg you up, cause I figure the trekkies are going to be gunning for you.
- HiCaP, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Farscape, Babylon 5 and Firefly were 3 of the best series going, miss them all.
- MacGyver2210, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Indeed. What in the hezmata took them so long? I thought it was pure dren that they cut both Farscape and SG-1, but I might be able to frelling put up with it if they release a couple now and then to feed the Sci-Fi addiction.
- SunathAlgeraan, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I didn't have any trouble with Black's character, Vala, but perhaps some of that was because she had already appeared as a guest in Season 8 (before it went down the Ori toilet bowl ship...err...bowl). Additionally, Vala was a very different character from Aeryn, whereas Cameron and Crighton were very similar to me.
That said, Farscape left such a lasting impression on me, that I honestly did have to struggle with it at first. They did such a magnificent job, it was hard seeing them both on SG1 but not "interested" in each other. There were times I half expected them to start kissing in the middle of a battle while still shooting, but alas, it was not to be. - JDRay, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Did you watch it from the beginning? It's one of those shows that you can't just dip in once in a while. I agree that the wormhole rantings became a little tired, as did the Harvey character, but overall the show was well worth it.
- Ontario, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4The return of Farscape is definitely great news!! Is the original cast returning to play their roles? I have lost all faith in the so called"sci-Fi' channel though. Happened after they starting airing Law & Order and Wrasllin'.
- BevansDesign, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Rygel was merely invited back to Hyneria, so we don't really know what happened to him when he went back. Maybe his cousin was just using the invite to get Rygel back into custody. That could be a new source for story ideas, since just about every other story arc has been resolved. Getting Rygel back into power could be the plot of the new webisodes. It would just be John, Aeryn, Rygel, Chiana, and Pilot, but hey, the cast has always been in flux.
- Sifl, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Don't frell with me! This had better be true.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4farscape owns!
- pabloD, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Frell yeah! Frakk yeah!! ***** yeah!!!
- Bdog2g2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Well Ben & Claudia aren't doing anything after the ending of SG-1. Only the two direct-to-DVD movies to tie up the story lines.
- oneiroi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3They did really start showing the most ridiculous and trashy shows...
It all happened with the change in management. They had to get "scare tactics" and the increase of paranormal shows....trying to get in on the reality tv craze.
I sorta stopped watching the channel, it could be better now. I just used to love sci fi original programming like invisible man, farscape, lexx, first wave, g vs e....they may have been campy...but they were fun original camp. - clockpolitiks, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Well, mostly for almost the entire show, he had a microchip in his head that was implanted by scorpious. It messed with his mind. Maybe if you watched the show, you'd know this.
- crjunk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Check out dimensionofcontinuity.com. They have everything that you ever wanted to know about Sliders.
- Sacrifice, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I only consider the first two seasons of Sliders, and a couple episodes from the 3rd, as canonical. Fox canned the original creator of the show, Tracy Torme, near the beginning of season 3. That being said, I would like to see a conclusion that ignores the last few seasons and concludes the "true" show.
- Langford, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Pigs in Space in an episode of Farscape?
- BeefBaron, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2After the direct to dvd movies are finished they will be...
- dylantp20, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Man I forgot about sliders! I used to love that show before it went to sci-fi.
- imLissy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2*does a little dance*
- fadetoone, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2They plan to make one or two SG-1 dvd movies per year, but I imagine they will have plenty of free time to work on other things
- creeva, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Thank Hazmana I had thought they frelled this whole thing up for good - I no longer have a desire to kick Sci-Fi in the myvonks
- gopher043, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I watched BSG every Friday night, but then the moved it to late Sunday night and it killed the show for me. They used to have some really good shows that were worth watching on Friday nights, but they killed Friday nights for me when they had Jake 2.0 on all night long. I am not a huge SG1 fan, but at least it was sci-fi worth watching if other channels got boring. I am unsure who does all the lineups for sci-fi or what Co. owns the station, but they are killing the channel.
It used to be so awesome. Now it's just a Horror/Wrestling/infomercial Channel. - Synartist, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Frelling fantastic!!! That was my favorite SciFi series of all time. Not sure I would like as Web episodes but I'll watch it.
- CornStarch, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Galactic is the equivalent of having a Farscape and an SG1, but what they're going to do after that I have no idea.
- uncledeercamp, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1FRELL YES!
- RainKing101, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This is the best frelling news that I've gotten all year! Hot-diggity-smack, don't mess with Momma Chriton's little boy!
- Ronjoy7, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Farscapes return is awesome! This is the best sci-fi show ever made! I hope like hell as many of the original cast return but even if they dont the writing on this series was so good it will be worth watching. Get the word out and get peop0le watching the webisodes and maybe, just maybe, we can get what we really want- the return of Farscape to TV!!!
- aMMgYrP, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I remember when the Friday night line up was awesome, with G vs. E, Farscape, and Lexx. I'd really like to see them bring back G Vs. E (Good Vs. Evil) or at least release it on DVD. Cuz I have my Farscape and Lexx, I need my orange volvo.
- silent, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Agreed, it was difficult to disassociate them with Farscape at first, but I got past it.
Vala is great in every scene. No complaints there at all. More please!
Cameron has grown on me too, but he would never have been able to replace O'Neill (RDA) completely.
Oh, and I can't wait for more Farscape! Great news. - aboyd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1The Nebari story arc was unresolved, as was the Jool story arc. The people working on the show had said that both would have been featured prominently if the series had been able to continue. I believe that the Nebari story was that they were about to take over the known universe through their militant structure (or something like that -- you got to see some of it in one of the episodes). And the Jool storyline involved figuring out why the archaeology on that foreign planet was so human-like. Could have been a fairly Stargate moment, or maybe they planned to shoot it off in a completely different direction. I'm curious about both storylines, so I'd be happy to see either come to light in the webisodes.
