  • nickels, on 09/16/2008, -4/+35When they finally aired the sketches from Season 3, a part of me knew exactly why he left the show. That ***** wasn't funny, and Dave knew it. Maybe the pressure got to him or he lost creative control, but the sketches from season 3 are terrible.

    Seasons 1 and 2 are untouchable. You can't write funnier stuff then that.

    Half of their show was usually boring.

    Kids in the Hall were pretty funny, but again, lots of boring stuff. Especially the gay guy's sketches. Some were funny, but some just went on and on with the same joke.

    Every Chappelle's show sketch was funny. And some will be remembered for a very, very long time. Especially the one with Prince, Rick James, the blind black dude who was white supremacist, the ***** Family, and the one where all the black people get reparation money.

    They are really wringing every penny they can out of it. Just this last weekend was a "Chapelle's Show" marathon.

    Secondly, the Cribs sketch was funny as hell. He's so rich that he has the only two prehistoric dinosaur eggs in the world in his fridge, then makes a god damn omelet out of one and kills the baby T-Rex that hatches out the other. A diamond pepper-mill that "makes his dookie twinkle"? Cmon man, that's genius comedy.

No joke or sketch is perfect from the beginning. All sketch comedy shows refine their sketches up until the last minute.
