The Most Embarrassing Stephen Colbert Clip Ever
avclub.com — It should be noted, however, that upon seeing this clip you can never unsee it. There is some serious cognitive dissonance involved in watching one of the funniest people alive engage in two and a half minutes of the least funny *****, ever.

- bbjr, on 07/15/2008, -4/+225I think it was actually kinda funny. ...but my wife and I are fans of Who's Line and the Colbert Report.
- dalnet22, on 07/16/2008, -19/+1Did your "wife" bark when she heard the barking on tv?
- themonkmob, on 07/16/2008, -3/+8AH YES. ITS REALLY A DOG. CLEVER CLEVER. YES YES YES.
- DontEatTheFish, on 07/16/2008, -1/+17I agree, I have seen this episode a long time ago(like when Whose line is it anyway had new episodes...), and recently(last year) on youtube, I still find it as funny ad ever. Improve is always embarrassing, thats the point. why don't people like that skit?
- stuffradio, on 07/16/2008, -0/+5I think the people that commented on that blog were being drama queens to appease the blogger. It wasn't "horrifying".
- ZenMojo, on 07/16/2008, -1/+12I've seen this episode, he's not horrible for a guy with no skills. Everybody looks stupid trying to freestyle next to Wayne Brady. Actually, come to think of it, for a guy who gets so much ***** Wayne Brady is actually really good at what he does.
- draegloth, on 07/16/2008, -0/+5I thought it was hilarious. Granted, Drew Carey's version of the show isn't as funny as the original British version, but it was pretty funny anyway.
It's about putting the comedians out of their element and seeing what they can do with the awkwardness. It's not supposed to be high quality, it's supposed to be ridiculous. - alecks, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1Better clips from that show:

- user12345x, on 07/15/2008, -16/+7"least funny ***** ever?" Perchance you watched it whilst not in influenced by nitrous oxide for the first time ever.
- bannus, on 07/15/2008, -20/+4Taken from the comment section for the post:
Hey you guys
I generally don’t indulge in “Hey, look at this crazy review I done found on the internet” comments (not that there’s anything wrong with them) but while dicking around the AV Club recently in search of Scarlett Johannsson's knockers, I stumbled upon a movie review so jarring, so utterly horrifying, so inhumanly, inconceivably awful that I just had to punish you all by sharing it. It should be noted, however, that upon reading this review you can never unread it. There is some serious cognitive dissonance involved in watching one of the most talented writers on this site engage in three paragraphs of the least insightful *****, ever.
http://www.avclub.com/content/cinema/the_black_dah ... - ShaggyRogers, on 07/15/2008, -4/+194I didn't think it was that bad. Made me smile.
- temporaryescape, on 07/16/2008, -1/+8He's no Eminem, but... PEACE!
- vinnythekidd, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3Eh. I liked it okay. The title is pretty sensational given the content.
- flashback99, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1I think we all fell for some classic reverse psychology.
- rlbond86, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1Seriously, like the submitter could do better off the top of his head?
- connorwilson, on 07/15/2008, -31/+3This almost makes Colbert not funny by association. Almost.
- dhVyse, on 07/15/2008, -3/+70The rapping ones and some of the singing ones in general were really hit or miss even without Colbert...
- computerusr, on 07/16/2008, -23/+3Colbert isn't funny period. His satire isn't witty. It's just overplayed and overrated. I think his main problem is going on and on with jokes. Instead of saying one funny thing and moving on, he tries to milk it for all it's worth, and ends up making for embarrassingly unfunny moments.
- SugarCoatedSalt, on 07/16/2008, -3/+10"look at me, I don't get political satire, waaaaaaaaaah"
- HOTM, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2I like Stewart but I haven't really ever gotten into Colbert.
- acceleration, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1"Not really all that funny, but that's satire for you."
- computerusr, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1No I get political satire, just as well as you SugarCoatedSalt. It's funny how all you ***** nerds think you're much smarter than other people because of your political views and who you think is funny or not.
- TheUngod, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1When you've got 4 white guys on stage trying to rap, I think "miss" is more common (and yes, Wayne Brady is white. He just has a pigment disorder).
- dhVyse, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1You obviouslt have never seen him on that Chapelle Show episode...

- jalvear, on 07/15/2008, -36/+2Why does the video play a clip from "Who's Line Is It Anyway" rather than the Colbert Report?
- JingleHymrShmit, on 07/16/2008, -0/+14Stephen Colbert does exist outside of the Report.
- SugarCoatedSalt, on 07/16/2008, -0/+8who told you that lie? communism and bears I bet!
- JingleHymrShmit, on 07/16/2008, -0/+14Stephen Colbert does exist outside of the Report.
- HumanCattle, on 07/15/2008, -3/+119hahahaha come on that was adorably lame... sure stephen can't rap, but neither can colin - that never stops him though!
dugg! now to find some more episodes of whose line....- Stormwern, on 07/16/2008, -1/+2there's tons on piratebay
- danomagnum, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2I'm pretty sure no one can rap.
- rysmith, on 07/15/2008, -5/+31Peace!! Colbert rocks.
- NathanJr, on 07/15/2008, -13/+5This clip actually provides a lot of insight into Colbert's commitment as a comedian. He's willing to put every ounce of energy he has into a completely uninspired and cringe-worthy improv exercise.
- puskunk, on 07/15/2008, -1/+152I thought it was pretty good? Not the easiest thing in the world to do, especially going after Wayne Brady, the king of impromptu singing/rapping.
- emehrkay, on 07/16/2008, -3/+30is wayne brady going to have to choke a bitch?
- lamiaconfitor, on 07/16/2008, -2/+5God, that was the best Dave Chapelle skit ever. and before you argue with me: IMAO.
- Murdats, on 07/16/2008, -3/+6@lamiaconfitor
whats the A stand for? awesome?
- Stormwern, on 07/16/2008, -0/+7The Harley of Seville is by far the best, I can't even talk as fast as fast as he improvs. :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2otQnXXeI0Q- vinnythekidd, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2Um. Whoa. Wow.
- enzobot24, on 07/17/2008, -0/+0I'm Ron Burgundy?
- emehrkay, on 07/16/2008, -3/+30is wayne brady going to have to choke a bitch?
- bullsfan03, on 07/15/2008, -3/+59To make everything way way way way way... safer
- williamlee, on 07/15/2008, -5/+23Hey, they all can't be zingers.
- rebotfc, on 07/15/2008, -3/+68Um... i thought it was ***** awesome.
So there!- statuescrumble, on 07/16/2008, -1/+10I agree. Screw all the bandwagon jumpers. I've seen this clip before and I laughed hard at it. Whose Line is Awesome.
- Stormwern, on 07/16/2008, -0/+4Second to Robin Williams, Colbert is the best first timer they've ever had I think.
- whiteknives, on 07/15/2008, -5/+81That was not unfunny in the slightest. PAYCE!
- oktoberfest, on 07/16/2008, -9/+17love Whose Line
it's not spelled "Who's Line"- santaliqueur, on 07/16/2008, -1/+7You're technically right, but get dugg down anyway. See how it works here?
- SpectreFire, on 07/16/2008, -14/+16Well, you've got to count in the fact that Colbert's not an improv comedian.
- ChrisR8089, on 07/16/2008, -2/+9Cept, you've got to count the fact that he was a improv comedian with a couple different companies including Second City.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Colbert - spookycheddar, on 07/16/2008, -0/+5Since this isn't an overtly sarcastic comment I'm going to take this opportunity to point out that Colbert got his start with second city...
- Gorgonzola44, on 07/16/2008, -0/+5It's what he does in the interview every night.
- KableKiB, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1Yeah asking people questions and talking and not rhyming just being funny is his type of improv, and it's awesome!
- ChrisR8089, on 07/16/2008, -2/+9Cept, you've got to count the fact that he was a improv comedian with a couple different companies including Second City.
- ih8ducks88, on 07/16/2008, -2/+38If by embarrassing you mean AWESOME!!! Then i agree with you.
- doyoumrjones, on 07/16/2008, -26/+1improv is the worst form of comedy, yuck.
- oktoberfest, on 07/16/2008, -2/+16you're the worst form of comedy
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1Comedy gold, Jerry! 50% of the time, it works ALL the time.
- oktoberfest, on 07/16/2008, -2/+16you're the worst form of comedy
- Asheis, on 07/16/2008, -7/+5I thought he was the best white guy rapper that show has even had..
while I- HorseloverFat8, on 07/16/2008, -0/+8While you... what? TELL ME!
- quakken, on 07/16/2008, -0/+8oh no... they GOT HIM! Asheis! NO!!!!
- Tyrghast, on 07/16/2008, -1/+33Oh come on that was great, watching three nerdy white guys trying to rap, and he was a good sport about it, even though they could have given him something easier such as the Irish Drinking Song. Of course, nothing is ever going to top the Robin Williams episode of Whose Line.
- Dundasbro, on 07/16/2008, -0/+14http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnAYOcTpKjg
- fant0m, on 07/16/2008, -12/+2I like to get ripped and do a "Who's line is it anyway" style rap with my friends.
D mothereffin ugg. - RedSaber, on 07/16/2008, -12/+3Wait... why is this on the front page again?
- twiztidsinz, on 07/16/2008, -0/+7Wait... why are you on digg again?
- db0255, on 07/16/2008, -1/+7This isn't that bad...
- marvinvenis, on 07/16/2008, -8/+0Tupac must be spitting in his grave.
- AquaOSX, on 07/16/2008, -3/+9That was awesome awful rapping. Colbert can't rap, and he rolled with it. Good stuff. PEACE.
- Nysul, on 07/16/2008, -1/+45The richard simmons skit on Who’s Line Is It Anyway? is one of the funniest things I've ever seen:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTxkxG3DF4k- snareguy17, on 07/16/2008, -0/+8Just seeing Richard Simmons as the jet ski is so, so worth it, hahahaha.
- twiztidsinz, on 07/16/2008, -0/+4hahaha.. check out Ryan Stiles..
Looks like he doesn't want to catch 'teh gay' from Richard Simmons - quakken, on 07/16/2008, -0/+4richard simmons- coolest gay guy ever.
- MutatedNantuko, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1I dunno, John Walters is pretty cool.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000691/
- MutatedNantuko, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1I dunno, John Walters is pretty cool.
- rocktopotomus, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3wow, i didn't know i could find something BOTH hilarious and terrifying
- drethedog, on 07/16/2008, -4/+1White Man almost can rap....
- ricoboy24, on 07/16/2008, -7/+2What The *****?...
- danwallace, on 07/16/2008, -5/+4I really can't fault the guy for being lousy at improv comedy freestyling. Besides, I laughed when he started in with the skiing dance.
Also he was pretty much the ONLY thing that made me laugh when I watched the Love Guru. - sevenslashfour, on 07/16/2008, -0/+14I don't even really like him and I thought it was kinda funny. Over dramatic much?
- CletusTSJY, on 07/16/2008, -3/+1I was hoping for something a lot more embarrassing. But I'll take it.
- Bologner, on 07/16/2008, -4/+1Okay, Digg, I'm going out on a limb here.
So, where I live (could be everywhere), Whose Line? is on the ABC family channel. A few years ago, they had commercials for WL and one of them was Drew laughing and saying it was the funniest thing he's ever seen.
What episode is that? - peestandingup, on 07/16/2008, -1/+11This is actually pretty common stuff for Who's Line. I thought it was funny enough.
- GumGuts, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3The snow dance was pretty funny though...
- johndajap56, on 07/16/2008, -6/+2i thought he was gonna say the N word or something. But i don't think it would've offended anyone anyway. Wayne brady isn't black anyway jk
- batmanz, on 07/16/2008, -1/+6Whatever. I loved Whose Line is it anyways.
- koreaski, on 07/16/2008, -8/+1*****. that was the worst show
- GoKings, on 07/16/2008, -0/+15Makes you realize how impressive guys like Ryan Styles and Colin were at their craft. Those guys were just amazing. I miss that show.
- crash331, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2I liked it.
- jazzguitar18, on 07/16/2008, -7/+1im confused, I hate whos line, Love colbert and love curb your enthusiasm. I blame it on drew carry, he ruins everything... although that wasnt horrible, the MOST EMBARRASSING EVER sure hypes it up.
- tolbs, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2Even more incriminating video from Colbert's Past:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Fa53HEpDYYg- Stormwern, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1They cut out the punchline!
- KableKiB, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1That was funny.. O.o
- Gregsaw, on 07/16/2008, -1/+22dugg because the clip was funny, not because I agree with the article
- christof53, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2Choke! Choke!
- 437gone, on 07/16/2008, -7/+2I can't understand why so many people think Colbert is funny in the first place. Sure, this clip was lame, but it would have been a lot worse if he actually had time to think up something. The man is corny, people. I can't wait until everyone else sees this.
Go ahead, digg me down...- 437gone, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1Edit:
sees this = the fact that Colbert sucks, not sees this = this post - paradexes, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1You must be a Bill O fan.
- 437gone, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1Edit:
- MeetHouston, on 07/16/2008, -0/+4Dugg for Colbert's awesome dance moves. I laughed out loud.
- Menace2000, on 07/16/2008, -1/+9Buried for lying. That wasn't too embarrassing considering its Colbert
- Eggzb, on 07/16/2008, -7/+2I saw the skiing 10 seconds in and I had to turn it off.
- XxTheAlmostxX, on 07/16/2008, -6/+1I don't ever want to see that again, ever. Bury it!
- kiderjones, on 07/16/2008, -6/+1This aired in the pre prime time slot in the 90's as far as I can recall. That would make Whose Line Is It Anyway an "after school" program. Not to mention the nature of the show simply displays a bit of Colbert's talent... for the future.
- JustinHopewell, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1When the robots take over! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
