Man, read a book! - angusm, on 04/29/2008, -4/+57And in a hideous plot twist, the last Cylon is revealed to be ... Jar-Jar Binks.
- popltree2, on 04/29/2008, -2/+28Okay everyone, quit pointing out the spelling error. We don't need a dozen comments that say "What's a Cylom?".
- Portagine, on 04/29/2008, -1/+23FTA:
"Now since the painting is a “knock-off” of the “Last Supper” by Leonardo DiVinci we can also infer that cup could also represent Dan Brown’s book “The DaVinci Code”."
That's a huge leap in logic for me. - Cumella, on 04/29/2008, -1/+23My money is on Zarek. Oh and can we get a mirror? 46ish diggs and it isn't loading. =(

Some are programmed to think they are Human.
There are many copies.
And they have a Plan. - Spectrus, on 04/29/2008, -0/+14Need a mirror. Link not working.
- tavman, on 04/29/2008, -2/+16Flawed analysis. You have to flip the Galactica last supper pic to get it to sync up with Da Vinci's. The character positions match MUCH better when you do that. That makes Adm Adama Bartholemew and Rosslyn Simon. This leaves the empty chalice in Phillip's position, not Judas'. Chief Tyrol is in Judas' seat and after the last two eps, it kind of fits that he's going to betray *someone*. I don't have a clue if it's the Cylons or Humans, though. Phillip is usually listed as the FIFTH disciple, btw.
- IAmTheGuy, on 04/29/2008, -0/+13It appears that they do...
- kalikkalik, on 04/29/2008, -2/+15So the author thinks its Anastasia Dualla...got it.

- AZTriGuy, on 04/29/2008, -0/+7A good theory, I like the linking of the 12 models to the 12 signs of the zodiac and the "human gods". A couple of flawed pieces, though. He says that when the Centurions are on Galactica and Dualla somehow survives a direct encounter with them, that proves that they recognized her as one of the final 5 and didn't hurt her, just like with Anders at the beginning of this season. Only problem with that is when the Raiders recognized Anders, they then refused to attack the human fleet all together so as not to harm any of the final 5. If the Centurions had indeed recognized Dualla as one of the final 5, then the Cylons would have mysteriously stopped attacking right then, not continued their way through the ship to cut the life support and kill everyone on board. If anything, the fact that they didn't recognize her could either be that she isn't one of the final 5 or that she simply hadn't been activiated yet. I think this piece alone tells me it's not her.
The next comment talks about how D'Anna recognizes one of the 5 in her vision and apologizes, "I'm so sorry, I didn't know". I think it's pretty clear by now that she was saying that to Tigh-Cylon, as by this time the whole occupation of New Caprica has completed and she allowed for (or even performed, we don't know) Tigh's torture at the hands of the Cylons on New Caprica and the loss of his eye.
I'm still thinking it's either Cottle or Gaeta. Zarek would be awesome, as how cool would that be to have Apollo from the original series wind up being the last Cylon? You know, if he actually said that he was the original Apollo (or maybe even made from him) that would lend credence to the theory that this show is simply a view into the future many years after the original series. "All this has happened before, and will happen again". - ELiTe185, on 04/29/2008, -0/+6Google got it:

it takes a while to load, but it does eventually. None of the other mirrors I have worked. - apetrie, on 04/29/2008, -1/+7I don't know if I think Dualla is the final cylon or not, but I always assumed that D'Anna was apologizing to Tigh for cutting his ***** eye out!
- Spetz, on 04/29/2008, -1/+7A far more telling sign I believe is in the Episode "Final Cut" where Dualla describes her life before the apocalpse. Her memories a very vivid - exactly what you'd want for a sleeper agent, and exactly what the Chief has. Also, she is not a devout religious person as is the norm for people from Sagittaron, because she didn't come from there!
Perhaps a more applicable reason is the fact that her character and her acting skills have so far been under-utilised on the show. :) - thanakar, on 04/29/2008, -0/+6Because they SAID the last cylon is NOT in the artwork
- AZTriGuy, on 04/29/2008, -0/+5"Former tax collector. Formerly Wealthy. Generally hated by every one (because he was a tax collector)."
Best argument I've heard yet for Gaeta being the final Cylon. After all, he was Baltar's assistant when he was President on New Caprica, and was widely hated for supposedly helping the Cylons in their occupation. He was almost tossed out the airlock, for frak's sake.
And who almost tossed him out? Tigh, Anders, and Tyrol, 3 of the final 5. Of course, it was Tyrol who saved his neck by realizing that he was the one doing the cold-drops for them and helping the resistance. - Nick519, on 04/29/2008, -1/+6no, those are the hybrids.
- spamly, on 04/29/2008, -1/+6If only there was a way to publicly note your agreement without posting... Oh well.
- maotx, on 04/29/2008, -0/+5Yep, I stopped reading right there. He has a few good points, but his presentation on the rest could be a bit better.
Besides, everyone knows that following the white rabbit is an Alice in Wonderland reference. - cuppyCake, on 04/29/2008, -2/+7FTA: "Let us start with Cally Tyrol since she is going to be the next easiest to eliminate."
I couldn't help but laugh at the wording of this sentence. - surian, on 04/29/2008, -1/+6DAMN YOU GEORGE LUCAS!!! must you destroy all that I love?

Put down the over caffeinated coffee and let it go....
P.S. http://www.duggmirror.com - slinky317, on 04/29/2008, -1/+5I dunno, I think Dualla being a Cylon wouldn't bring enough shock to the series. She's always been in the series but never as anything major besides her current role as Adama's wife. I really would like to see someone who has been dead, or someone that we would never think of... like President Adar?
- coldman, on 04/29/2008, -3/+7hey, not such a bad assessment! pretty verbose, but the author makes their case for the final cylon...nice work
- Jhiaxuz, on 04/29/2008, -1/+5No time to say hello, goodbye, I'm late I'm late I'm late...
- BXRWXR, on 04/29/2008, -1/+5You mean like "Jebus"?
Sheesh. - twiztedambience, on 04/29/2008, -0/+4you mean you don't have a pool running on who the last cylon is? weak...
- MoonDogAFO, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3I just looked at the BSG promo "Last Supper" pic, and it would make sense for Dualla to sit next to Lee. And, since Lee isn't really looking at that person, one could say that that is a result of the relationship they had as man and wife.
Hmmmm, this damn article has made me think. It burnssssss - rabidg00se, on 04/29/2008, -3/+6Title has been corrected. Awesome.
- thatcrazycommie, on 04/29/2008, -1/+4They Cylo(m)s were created by man. They rebelled. They evolved. They look and feel human. Some are programmed to think they are human. There are may copies. And they have a plan.
*****, never mind, someone already did that on a lower comment. I felt so witty, too. - davidlow, on 04/29/2008, -1/+4Your comment has happened before, too.
- kymike, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3Regarding the notion that SIHOB (Six In the Head Of Baltar) represents "Jesus" in the "Last Supper" photo: Actually, after last week's episode, it would make most sense if SIHOB is God, and Baltar is Jesus. In particular, the scene where Six seems to pick Baltar up off the ground and hold him - the camera then switches perspective and shows the scene how it appears to others in the room, and it certainly looks like an invisible being is literally holding Baltar up.
Of course, there is plenty of other evidence, such as the sick boy who is "healed" once Baltar professes his (honest) willingness to die for him. Not to mention the whole omnipotent nature of SIHOB throughout the series - knowing stuff that should be unknowable.
I'm not sure if the writers/producers would _really_ go all the way out there and make a stand that this "one true God" is absolutely real, though. But they've already made a lot of insinuation - why develop Baltar into such a Jesus-like figure, complete with bashing a pagan gathering? So the question is whether they will just leave this as an open, but not completely answered possibility; or will they go further down this path of the "one true God" to the point of making it unambiguous?
My guess is that they will continue with the insinuation that the "one true God" is guiding things somehow, but it will remain open-ended. From what I've read about the upcoming "Caprica" series, it sounds like monotheism has an important part to play in that show, which is probably why they're making such a big deal about it now (from Baltar/Jesus to Starbuck's "resurrection"). - ZetaVu, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3Actually when you flip the picture you see that Baltar and Lee represent James and Philip, and Thomas is standing behind where Baltar is sitting, That means the final cylon would be doubting Thomas, indicating either a lack of faith or someone that would never believe they were the final cylon. Or Caprica 6 could be Thomas leaving the final cylon to be Jesus, thus killing all the picture stuff.
- wolferz, on 04/29/2008, -1/+4Except... If you look at the last supper painting and at the poster form BSG.... you'll note that the bsg poster is reversed. Where John is leaning backwards from Jesus to his left in the last supper Starbuck is leaning back from the six on her right. Where Peter, one of Jesus' most devoted (if not his most devoted) disciples, has his hand outstretched to jesus while sitting on jesus' right, in the psoster it is baltar who has his arm outstretched and he is sitting on the left.
What is more is if you look you will note that Tyrol is in the Judas spot and is holding a knife. Lee is in the the position of Phillip who became a martyr for jesus' cause by being crucified (upside down). The final cylon spot? Matthew. Former tax collector. Formerly Wealthy. Generally hated by every one (because he was a tax collector). Gave it all up to follow Jesus. - troub, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3Further down the article he presents a table with the order of the Zodiac symbols, and posits that number 7 is Sagittarius. . .Dualla is from Sagittaron, etc.
- Lousansano, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3She's a hybrid, every base ship has one
- SnapETom, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3A very compelling read. The reference to the "Adama is a Cylon" line is the most convincing argument for me. I like it.
- boombye, on 04/29/2008, -2/+5It's as Mormon as it is Gnostic or Greek.
- davidlow, on 04/29/2008, -0/+3Too late. You just thought of him.
- villageatheist, on 04/29/2008, -0/+2Gaeta is the *****. Why do all the best characters turn out to be cylons?
