- zappo1776, on 10/10/2007, -0/+96I hope they design it better than the Comedy Central Site which is really a pain to use.
- openthink, on 10/10/2007, -0/+48nice to see them start making more available their good stuff. maybe viacom, mtv, comedy central are starting to face reality
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+42I think you should have your keyboard fixed, the "*****" key seems to be missing.
- bajesus, on 10/10/2007, -2/+43for a show with no real conceivable future on DVD it would be ridiculous not to do this.
- resprung, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24Comedy Central's "Motherload" video store is a bit of a mother******, but at least they're striving to categorise and make available a lot of Daily Show content.
- zathlazip, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21I can assume that they won't have any of the 1996-1998 Craig Kilborn episodes, which is unfortunate. Craig Kilborn was not funny at all in his later projects, but there was definitely a spark in the old Daily Show...it wasn't as politically relevant as under Jon Stewart at all, but it was entertaining and irreverent still.
Also, I miss Brian Unger and A. Whitney Brown from those days. They were brilliant. - Ryosen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19You're watching The Daily Show on closed-circuit television?
- jordan314, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20It's better than mind of ***** mancia, that's for sure
- AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -0/+14Oooh Please let them do this for Stephen Colbert episodes.
- DoctorDuckey, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14my moment of zen...
- Darkestblaze, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12He's a comedian, his job is to make people laugh, not to be the only person expected to ask the hard questions. While I *do* wish he would ask more of them (simply because he has the opportunity and no one else *will*), it is certainly not his responsibility to be asking those questions, and he shouldn't be looked down upon for not doing so.
- chiggah, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14I don't like her show, therefore I don't watch it.
But it's the ***** ads of her show every 5 minutes on comedy central that's killing me - OutThisLife, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12I can't believe her show is coming back on the air.
- stonedslacker, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12That actually made me laugh out loud in the middle of my office, which wouldn't be so bad, if it wasn't a short hyena laughter followed by an impulse cry of "*****". As I type this everyone's staring at me like ... gtg
- serpentor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Awesome, with full episodes of Conan O'Brien now online for free, and soon The Daily Show, my two favorite late night comedies will be completely watchable online =)
http://www.nbc.com/Late_Night_with_Conan_O'Brien/video/episodes.shtml - rald84, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14if you're a little high and have the mute button on, she's actually pretty hot
- sharper130, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Just FYI: Viacom is the parent company of Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, CMT, Dreamworks, BET - the full list:

there's also some Jon in there, so enjoy :) - Sil369, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6LOL at posting from work with the username "stonedslacker"
- loki440, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5C'mon now. . .if he was too hard on his neo-con/conservative guests, they wouldn't come on the show. That said, Stewart asks tougher questions than 95% of the media out there. Check out how he grilled Bill Kristol and even John McCain a while back. He doesn't give these guys a free pass....
- YoDiggity2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Good, I can clear about 40GB of my hard drive now...
- ElegantFiend, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Who knew that Viacom owned Bubba Gump Shrimp? 0_0
- DoTheFandango, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Will Colbert do this!?!??!!
- Junkey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3They finally figured out that people loved to watch their videos on youtube. Now they can make money off it themselves. Lets hope no in show adds.
- knute5, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I dug the early Kilborn days as well. The parade of celebrity has-beens during the first year grew into some serious A-listers before Kilborn left. Watching them sweat the Five Questions was fun. Folks don't remember how intimidated Stewart initially was to take over the role (obviously he's done great). But I'd definitely want to see Kilborn's added to the list.
- acdcfanbill, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Her show is only so-so, but I find her stand up bitingly funny, uncompromising and brutally un-PC. The fact she is hot is simply a bonus.
- fasda, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2whats wrong with the in show adds there are commercial breaks in the show anyway so why no have like 10 secs space instead of 5 min?
- sarge96, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3"Watch the Sarah Silverman show, or I'll kill my dog..." Ok, kill it. I still won't watch.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I do all the time, you just have to hope someone is watching it downstairs.
- sarge96, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4You will now be dugg down for disagreeing with the majority.
- YoctoYotta, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I know he came later, but Mo Rocca was awesome too. SIke.
- tech42er, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Good point. The problem I have with CC's implementation of TDS now is that it's just short clips. I prefer the full shows.
- stonedslacker, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4For now a better way to watch the show than go through the whole Motherload of pain is on iFilm. They have the content pretty neatly organized into short clips although a lot of the stuff is missing from earlier. http://www.ifilm.com/show/17676
- SwordOfShannara, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Political satire is one of the most powerful means of influence throughout history. Remember that the Jester was the only one who could speak the truth in the Kings court. As far as responsibility goes he is an American before he is a comedian. You overlook my first point- why does he give them time on his show if he won't ask them hard questions? There are no other more deserving guests who have ideas that should be heard? The Neo-cons deserve this platform to speak their lies to the public? The end result is they get chance after chance to sling more propaganda. Jon deserves criticism.
- clark24, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I hope the episodes are downloadable but I'm sure you will have to stream them. Will be good to watch on the iPod Touch at least :) Slightly off-topic (like it matters on Digg) but it sounds like Matt Stone and Trey Parker are going to make a ton of cash off of the SP deal too.
- underburn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2That Network Is Buggy.
- DroidBlender, on 09/18/2008, -0/+1I didn't start watching TDS when Kilborn was there, but I can assume that if they're building an archieve, they'll probably have all of the episodes from that era. I don't see them making the show available on DVD, so having an archive is the next best thing. i remember coming across a torrent that had 10 full seasons, and was like 5-7 gigs. Now that I started school, I don't think I'll have the time to watch 10 seasons worth of TDS, but who knows? Even Stepeven ruled!
I've been trying to free some time to go to NY and get tickets to all my favorite shows. - mascot4hire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1to bad their racist and wont let australians watch. hmm me thinks bit torrent is not so mean.
- missingnoh4x, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Bah, CC's video sites are a pain in the ass. They should get somebody else to archive the show and publish it for them. Perhaps Youtube would be interested.
- stonedslacker, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Completely agree with SonOfShun. Its no point getting those lunatics on the show unless you can if only for a moment or with one tough question point out the absurdity of their propaganda and show them for what they are. After watching someone like Bill Maher's interviews it does seem Jon could conduct his interviews much better. For now his opening segment's real good, his Correspondent segment either brilliantly or totally boring, his interviews real weak and finally the closing segment with Colbert again pretty funny.
- stupergenius, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Wow that player is buggy.
- cambrown99, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I hope they have some bits from the Craig Kilborn era. Not as good as Stewart, but there were some hilarious gems--particularly Beth Littleford asking Different Strokes' Todd Bridges "what WAS Willis talking about?", and asking Green Bay Packers players "Are you a packer?"
- moskaudancer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1About a year or so ago, he had someone on from the American Family Association to talk about gay marriage, and he totally tore the guy a new one. Jon made him look like the homophobic ***** he really was...I do wish he would do that more often, though.
- AmICoolNow, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I do...her stand up is better, but that's because it's ***** hilarious. The show's not bad, but it isn't really comparable to her stand up
- omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1it'll be funny to go back and watch clips of when stewart bashed clinton. it's a foreign sort of feeling....
- moskaudancer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"Now, if it was a kitten, that would be a different story..."
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Theres already a torrent out that has all episdoes from 2003 onwards, with various clips from 1999-2002, and a full episode for 1999. I bet anything that this collection will be more extensive than ANYTHING they put up.
- LordSlashstab55, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3they are these disc I buy in stacks of 100.
- zwaldowski, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Probably due to some added in segments of recent events.
- jccalhoun, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Comedy Central and the Daily Show staff seem to hold some grudge against Kilborn because the constantly try to forget his show even existed. This was especially evident during the Daily Show's 10 year bits when they went out of their way not to show or mention Kilborn.
I lived out in the boonies when Kilborn was on the Daily Show and so I never saw him but I did think that his Late Late Show had its moments and I wouldn't mind seeing some of his Daily Show bits. -
