- cryonix, on 01/15/2009, -1/+76Must be an old article since there is no mention that Majel Barrett died December 18, 2008...
- Aadain, on 01/14/2009, -0/+53So many memories. So many good people no longer with us. Its amazing how much that show has influenced our culture.
- OSXpert, on 01/15/2009, -0/+45Also, Khan died yesterday.
- TonyCubed, on 01/15/2009, -0/+23A lot of people did watch Deep Space Nine, and I preffered it over Voyager and Enterprise.
- inactive, on 01/15/2009, -4/+23soulja boy sucks
- MarkusX, on 01/14/2009, -2/+17I am waiting for the next Spin-off. C'mon, what's coming...???
- inactive, on 01/15/2009, -0/+15From hells heart, he stabbed at us.
- Zippo, on 01/15/2009, -0/+14RIP Majel Barrett... there was no better computer voice... or crazier Betazoid.
- presidentraygun, on 01/15/2009, -0/+13I have been and always shall be...a fan of the Original Series. I know I'm in the minority here, but every time I see one on TV, I say. Oh I'll just watch a minute and I end up watching the whole damn show. BTW, netflix has all the first season episodes online for streaming.\
Got my fingers crossed the new movies doesn't blow everything to hell. - penguinpc, on 01/15/2009, -0/+13They also forgot he stormed beaches at Normandy on D-Day. And lost a finger doing it. When I heard that at a Q&A with him many years ago, my respect for him reached new levels.
- Destrider, on 01/15/2009, -0/+13Nor did they mention that 'Scotty' was also Canadian.
- davidjunit, on 01/15/2009, -1/+11I wonder what Data from Star Trek is doing now days?
- BoneheadFarker, on 01/15/2009, -1/+10I still watch DS9. Every once in a while if I haven't downloaded anything for a while, I'll go through a Trek series. I prefer DS9 the most. Enterprise is only good if you remove any time-war episodes. Voyager was very...vaginal. TNG was good, but had a rough start. TOS is good campy fun, as is TAS. But DS9 is the best of the lot.
- Haoie, on 01/15/2009, -0/+8They're still boldly going where no man has gone before.
Such as back in time, forward in time, to other universes, and so on. Oh yeah, and all the other planets. - Zippo, on 01/15/2009, -0/+8KHAAAAAAAAN
- thephosphorbox, on 01/15/2009, -0/+6He just had a bit part in "Superhero Movie" last year.
- Stuntaneous, on 01/15/2009, -1/+7we don't need to attract a new generation of fans with taste like that.
- inactive, on 01/15/2009, -0/+6This is way out of date considering Leonard Nimoy is still acting, in the new Star Trek movie, no less.
Also Majel Barrett Roddenberry died like a week ago, and they didn't mention that.
Lame. - swings1940, on 01/15/2009, -0/+6William Shatner looks pretty damn good for his age. Holy crap 77!
- inactive, on 01/15/2009, -0/+5one question why people hate so much on enterprise? it wasn't that bad.
granted the 3rd season was awful, but 1, 2 and 4 were great.
I still can't forgive them killing Tripp. though - RKnight, on 01/15/2009, -0/+5Well said, I couldn't agree more.
- Bloodwine, on 01/15/2009, -0/+5I watch Enterprise on Sci-Fi whenever it is on. I really like the show. I place it my second favorite after TNG. I know all the DS9 fans will bury me for that.
I just like the whole, "We have no idea what the hell we're doing out here in space. We'll learn as we go", feeling of the show. - johnjohnstonson, on 01/16/2009, -0/+4"akin to a 90210 within the Star Trek universe"
You should be prevented from breeding. - inactive, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4I truly miss the ones that are gone. Nice to see where those that are still with us are though and good to know that they're doing well.
- inactive, on 01/15/2009, -4/+8The person who asked this question is probably in the same place he was when he was watching them 40 years ago--on his couch.
- h0dges, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4Nah man Chekov has held his looks well.
- jerrycan, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4Nimoy's DNA scene....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlhHTdDqoBc - bjs3171, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4I think they could pull it off if they returned to a more episodic format, like TNG. I know serial TV is huge right now, but part of the reason I could never get into DS9 or Enterprise was because I never knew what the ***** was going on. The shows started taking themselves WAY too seriously. Just look at Firefly and how well that worked (quality-wise, obviously). Hell, even Battlestar could have done with a FEW self-contained episodes about ship workings.
- fnordy, on 01/15/2009, -0/+4As a Canadian who stormed Juno Beach, I believe that makes him a true "Hero" in anyone's books. That after being injured, he returned to service in WWII as a pilot in an unarmed spotter's plane further cements that "Hero" title.
Add to that, he helped recruit many people into engineering through his public speeches at various university engineering events. I was privileged to see him at Carleton University.
I believe that he deserved a membership in the Order of Canada, but he died while I was working on the letter to the GG, and you can't nominate those who have passed away.

Farrell - regeya, on 01/15/2009, -0/+3They should revive the Gary Seven concept, and modernize it.
No, I'm not joking. - h0dges, on 01/15/2009, -0/+3I actually bothered reading because I thought that it had been written BECAUSE she died.
- av4rice, on 01/15/2009, -1/+4They missed Takei being the emperor in C&C Red Arert Slee
- Akairenn, on 01/15/2009, -2/+5DS9 here.
Last decent Trek, IMO, and the most unique. TNG thrown in a blender with grim, dirty grit? What's not to like? Also, Garreck is the best character to ever come out of Trek. :p - inactive, on 01/15/2009, -0/+3They also forgot he was horny as hell, didn't he have like 17 children or something?
- mugwumpz, on 01/15/2009, -0/+3Shatner and Koenig both look great. Nichelle Nichols looks good, too.
I agree with the comments about the sucky design on this page. Plus, Majel's thumbnail is her OLD pic, while everyone else's was young.
As much as I love Where Are They Now stuff...this one is a little late. The answer is mostly: really old or dead
I'd rather see something for shows 15-20 years old. - Bloodwine, on 01/15/2009, -0/+3Ok, now we need to know what is up with the TNG cast.
- korvan504521, on 01/15/2009, -1/+3The main issue I've had with a lot of star trek lately, is inconsistent and just generally bad or cheesy writing. Is it so hard to write a good story with coherent characters given the money they work with?
Enterprise is a good example. The first season was abominable. They trashed established time lines simply because they could. I can understand a rewrite for something that requires it. The technology of the original series for example, is primitive in comparison to our own and there's no reason to be consistent with that in a recreation. But there is no point to bring in say, the Borg, other than you have no ideas of your own.
They did some things right, I liked the way they handled the vulcans and the blue people with antennae whose name escapes me. That was an interesting concept and made sense. Then take that episode about the human colonists who moved underground and changed dramatically, that simply didn't.
The series was largely a series of wasted opportunities and, short sighted decisions. They had no overarching goals or plot lines, instead they just bumbled along making it up as they went along. Is a little planning so hard to do? - Treshnell, on 01/15/2009, -1/+3TNG for me!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClP8n6asn3w - chiefquanah, on 01/15/2009, -0/+2I want a tribble!!!
- JAGUART, on 01/15/2009, -0/+2I wish someone would take that classic cast picture, and really digitally make it over and clean it up.
- KIERANMULLEN, on 01/16/2009, -0/+2Leonard Nimoy's Ballad of Bilbo Baggins
http://www.youtube.com.nyud.net/watch?v=XC73PHdQX0 ... - inactive, on 01/16/2009, -1/+3some time ago a trekie friend, told me they disliked enterprise because of the whole temporal cold war thing, he even said that star trek wasn't about time travel.

- Kronos6948, on 01/15/2009, -0/+2@sdcarter-
I have to disagree with you about Avery Brooks. I think he's the best captain we've seen, followed closely by Stewart and Shatner. I couldn't take Mulgrew's Janeway at all. - mohit115, on 01/15/2009, -0/+2dugg because I often wondered about this too!
- topcat5, on 01/15/2009, -0/+2You forgot Star Trek the Animated Series (1973). Had the voices of all the TOS actors.
- h0dges, on 01/15/2009, -0/+2Gotta get me some trekkie hoes..
- lurian, on 01/15/2009, -0/+2He's just temporarily shut down
- MarkusX, on 01/17/2009, -0/+2Ok, the idea of a Startrek Academy series is not entirely bad, but 90210 ??? Ewe!
