Not only is this completely ridiculous, as dogs cannot speak English, but it does not even make sense within the cartoon! If the dog can speak English, why is Larry the only one who can understand him? It is far more likely that Larry can speak dog.
Later on, Steve is introduced to his new bedroom. There are plenty of things wrong with this section of the video as well. Why would a dog need its own bedroom? My dog is perfectly fine sleeping on the end of my bed. Ignoring that, Steve says that the room has everything he needs. Oh really? A TV, lamp, and bed are all that you need? What about food, water, and a place to defecate? And why the hell would a dog need a TV or a lamp for that matter? Also, why did the furniture start to spontaneously break?
On to the next section. Larry and Steve are driving in the car, and Larry says that his license was not suspended, it was only taken away temporarily. That is precisely what suspended means! And in that case, why on earth is he driving a vehicle? That's illegal. Then things simply start to get ridiculous. Larry's car rams into a signpost and is split in half. This is impossible. If a car were to crash into a signpost, the car would either be stopped and take damage to its front, or run over the sign. Not only is this a far-fetched scenario, but the two halves of the car then proceed to keep going. If a car was split in two, this would not happen as the engine would stop working. And then we are led to believe that the two halves of the car came perfectly back together and Larry did not even notice?
Quite frankly, I stopped watching at this point for there were too many things wrong with this video for even my mind to comprehend. I am baffled as to how this video has so many diggs. - inactive, on 05/04/2009, -4/+60holy carp i remember this from when i was a kid

Manatee jokes are funny and necessary for Family Guy. South Park made fun of the structure of the show, that doesn't mean it isn't funny. So many people act like South Park's opinion made Family Guy something that is no longer cool to like. I say forget what other people think and decide for yourself. Family Guy still has me laughing.. South Park is pretty hit or miss this season, like the last few seasons.. Family Guy at least always delivers a few laughs per episode, most of them a lot. South Park has some episodes where I get what they're going for, but they make things drag on and on and beat a dead horse.. not in a funny way either.. and I've always loved South Park, so it pains me to say it, but some episodes I get to the end and go "god damn that was unfunny".. Their writing is sorta like people trying to be funny on the internet. Sometimes they do well, sometimes they're trying to hard.

Furthermore you then go on to point out that they are still working on the characters, and that this is only the beginning.
