Well, CURRENT SNL is not funny. Im sick of hearing that rediculous Asian guy make Asian jokes just because he's Asian. And Kenan should go back to Nickelodeon... - tical2756, on 10/12/2007, -16/+131Once every 10 years they do something funny - like 'Dick in a Box'
- abcdefghij, on 10/12/2007, -12/+123hey I know what SNL needs so bad these days..
MORE COWBELL!!
hey I got a fever, and the only prescription is... - SlvrEagle23, on 10/12/2007, -2/+101Check out the Wikipedia article at the bottom...these bastards just pasted it!
- drunkentoad, on 10/12/2007, -9/+106If only they had banned the SNL member of staff who said "Hey, i know, The Ladies Man would be a kick ass movie"
- 800266622, on 10/12/2007, -5/+97Ashlee Simpson should be added to that list
- griz, on 10/12/2007, -9/+89I do now, but back in the Eddy Murphy/Joe Piscopo days, it was awesome. However, the "Not ready for prime time players" were by far the best.
- eigh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+76i should copy/paste stuff from wikipedia to my blog more often!
- uncledeercamp, on 10/12/2007, -17/+91They should just ban SNL for sucking.
- DangerMouse9, on 10/12/2007, -14/+82SNL really hasn't been funny since the mid-90s (Phil Hartman, Victoria Jackson, Dennis Miller, Adam Sandler, Dana Carvey, Kevin Nealon, Chris Farley, Chris Rock, etc.)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+60mmmm, copypasta...

I'll never understand why some people like SNL so much, I find it very obnoxious and stupid, and I love comedy. I'm a south park / mad tv kind if person, and SNL is just -ridiculously- immature humor, watching people fall over or act loud and noisy isn't funny.
That's just my opinion of course, feel free to mod me down, I'm expecting it. The 'mtv crowd' seems to have taken over anyway and you people have the worst taste for quality I've ever seen. - Chupathingy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+48"I'm a south park / mad tv kind if person, and SNL is just -ridiculously- immature humor"
Oh, the irony. - Hawker400, on 10/12/2007, -1/+43As long as they don't ban Christopher Walken, I'm cool.
- airmann90, on 10/12/2007, -13/+52Anyone else miss Kids in the Hall?
- gr8one, on 10/12/2007, -9/+48I think SNL has had it's good and bad seasons, currently I think Andy Samberg and Bill Hader are two of the most promising talents since Will Ferrell. I often think the show is hilarious.

Yeah because South Park and madTV don't do -ridiculously- immature humor. Thats what all these shows are based on. Hell all of these spinoffs are all trying to emulate the SNL formula anyways. In living color and MadTV probably wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for SNL's longevity and success. Also it always seems that no one likes whatever current batch of comedians are SNL staff until they become big stars and they put the "best of" together and then we all look back and reminisce at how funny they were. - bakagaigin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+29Dugg for FEAR!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2czyuFW33aw - spinemangler, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27I miss guys like Norm McDonald, Phil Hartman and Tim Meadows.
The worst thing is when they get a skit that they think is good, and let it run WAY too long. The cheerleaders is one of these. I love Will Farrell, but my god that skit sucked. And it was in every episode for several years.
And to those people who say madTV is better. Its not. It could be the worst show ever. I remember when Comedy Central used to have SNL on to fill time, now its madTV, and it sucks. Stuart is a skit like the cheerleaders. Kill that guy please. - TheGilmanator, on 10/12/2007, -3/+29Buried as spam. It's just copypasta of the Wikipedia article.
- KyleGoetz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25@ninjab3ar: There is no "Asian guy" on SNL. You're thinking of Bobby Lee on MadTV.
- goblindegook, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21@jyangwrites: Wikipedia is actually free to copy and adapt so long as you provide a GFDL disclaimer along with the content. In any case, padding your blog with Wikipedia content is beyond lame.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17Steven Seagal a jerk? NOOO WAY! the man is a hero... PFFTT!!
Seagal should be banned from ever going out of his house...
A guy I know worked with him on "Under Siege", he told me that Seagal is a total diva and a bully, he wants and demands all the attention and respect from everybody including people 100 times more famous than him. Pathetic. - teresa73521, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16I am home every saturday night (watching SNL) and I most certainly am not a loser. Ask my cats, they will tell you.
- sctechguy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17You know who should be banned? The current writers. The writers of the digital shorts can stay, they at least know what they're doing.
- ralphc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15I'm 45. I think people my age look back fondly at the early SNL because on Saturday nights, we were too old to have to go to bed but too young to drive and be out on Saturday nights, so SNL was it. Plus, for many people that was the only show of it's kind on their local TV's. If they were lucky some little UHF station would show Second City TV.
Same thing for the Midnight Special - only place to see videos and performances before MTV.
Now you kids get off my lawn! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+21Any chance we can bury this thing for blatant plagiarism? Citing a source doesn't mean you take its content verbatim.
- walkingdogs, on 10/12/2007, -8/+22The ladies man did kick ass and is one of the most under rated SNL spinoff movies. Some times you just ned to numb yourself and take the humor for what is is... Funny
"is your father a meat burglar because it looks like someone stole two fine hams and shoved them down the back of your dress." - coltrane68, on 10/12/2007, -6/+20Great article - reminds us that Lorne is a bit of a nut (although quite a talented nut).
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+20"Also it always seems that no one likes whatever current batch of comedians are SNL staff until they become big stars"
I dunno. I still don't care for Jimmy Fallon at all. (Is he considered "big"? He was in a few movies, I dunno...) - eigh, on 10/12/2007, -5/+18wow chevy chase is a dick. its great how half of the bans are against bands for either destroying the set or trying to get away with things that wouldnt be able to be shown on tv.
edit:i could see why loren would be pissed about brodi not clearing the act with him before hand. he probobaly has to protect his weekly live show against those who want a reason to get it canceled. - jstem1994, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14I liked it in the 90's too. Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman... Toonces look out!!
- Jaxim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13if only he would ban the writers who create unfunny skits which repeat themselves over and over and over again for 5 minutes without presenting any new material within that 5 minutes.
- algorythm, on 10/12/2007, -6/+17@ninjab3ar
Are you talking about the asian guy bobby lee from MAD? I dont think there is one on SNL yet...
I agree with everyone though, SNL has sucked for the last couple years. I watch in hope of something being funny once in awhile but am let down everytime.... - tical2756, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Kids in the Hall was a much funnier show. Lorne should get some respect for that.
- Nudar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Digg me back up, Norm McDonald fans. I know our numbers are many.

no mention of rage against the machine getting kicked off for having an upside down flag on their stage? - eyediggit, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11The article is based on this wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infamous_moments_in_Saturday_Night_Live_history

- josegutz, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11FEAR kicks ALL AAAARRSSSSSSEEEEE!!!
I've been to a FEAR show and it was the best show I had EVER been to...
Dugg for Belushi being a FEAR fan!
- bizh0p, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8knock knock..... who's there...... land shark
Need I say more
biz - BigPapi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I tivo SNL every week, but I always find myself fast-forwarding through 95% of it. It just isn't funny anymore and they rely too much on star power and cameo appearances. Chris Rock opened the show two weeks ago but wasn't even the host.
- eliotmat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8SNL bad. MadTV bad. Kids In The Hall Good!
- nogChoco, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8To me, that Lorne Michaels fellow seemed to be the real jerk in those stories. Calling the show 'Live' but apparently leaving no room for improv is just weak - just tape the damn thing instead, then - and cutting the naughty bits out or refusing to air them again, is just plain censorship. He's got plenty of good shows to offset the few bad apples.
