- AllHereTruth, on 03/13/2009, -2/+69One of the most hard hitting interviews i have ever seen, and it is given by a Comedy Central host.
Jon Stewart destroys Wall Street, CNBC and Jim Cramer while the rest of the 'news' world sits idly by as the American economy crumbles...For shame - goldfenix, on 03/13/2009, -2/+68From the looks of it, Cramer showed up ready to be beaten to a pulp.
1) Good for him for showing up knowing he was about to get his ass kicked.
2) Good for Jon Stewart for still reaming him out. While you deserve compassion, you don't get to avoid paying for things you said and did as short as a few months ago. - agentsrecord, on 03/13/2009, -2/+56This should finally shut people up about Stewart's credibility as a journalist. This shows he does the Daily Show out of love and not because he doesn't have the chops to make it in the big leagues.
Still, I kind of want Stewart to take over for Lettermen when he retires. - AJShoes9789, on 03/13/2009, -4/+50Stewart FTW
- humanerror, on 03/13/2009, -1/+45Good on Cramer for showing up out of character and taking it directly on the chin.
- Stoneman89, on 03/13/2009, -2/+43Cramer said CNBC didnt see all this coming.. BS! He had no answers to counter any of Stewarts questions, just filibustering his answers to make it sound like hes innocent.
- MetalliTooL, on 03/13/2009, -1/+39To sum it up: Cramer came in with one ***** and left with two.
- mmockett, on 03/13/2009, -2/+39I literally felt adrenaline throughout most of the second half of that interview. Jon was relentless.

- inactive, on 03/13/2009, -5/+38I cant believe there are people out there who will watch this and call jon dishonest!!! I got this off comments on the comdey central website:
"Stewart was blatantly dishonest, calling Cramer out for not blowing the whistle about short selling when as late as three days ago Cramer was spreading the word.

but what else can you expect from a self-professed snake-oil salesman.
by bianca March 13th at 5:19AM "
who do you think bianca voted for last fall... ***** all you morons out there that say america is going to fall apart if we tax the rich and enforce and beef up regulations on corporations and wallstreet.
And to all those stupid ***** heads who think ayn rand had a good idea by going "galt" ***** you guys leave, you think your so smart that no else can do your stupid retarded over paid job?
The problem we are in was caused by captialism run amok. what is captialism anyway its systematize greed. America was not made great by captialism. It was made great by people like Jon Stewart. People who stand up for the little guy. America is great because we care for the lest of us. Not because some of us are special or better than others
Thank you Jon for helping us see clearly... And I hope Obama can find a way out of this mess that is sustainable and brings the american people back to the foundation of what makes this country great; the recognition that every single one of us is important and worthy of respect. - KibblesnBitts, on 03/13/2009, -2/+35Cramer was great in the beginning - The ones losing their homes are fighters, not losers
otherwise, Jon Stewart is the man and completely did it well - inactive, on 03/13/2009, -2/+35He said "Doucheborough." LOL
- JenniferInMO, on 03/13/2009, -2/+33I would love to see an actual journalist doing investigative reporting. There are so few remaining, and Jon Stewart just painfully pointed out to all of us how media is too big, too based on profit and far to entangled with the economic powers. Corporate media is bad media. We need competition.
- inactive, on 03/13/2009, -1/+29FATALITY
- MetalliTooL, on 03/13/2009, -3/+31I was in awe watching this. For some reason I thought Stewart would be a bit softball on Cramer, but this was pure rape.
- mykinco, on 03/13/2009, -2/+29I'm going to say this in every Cramer/Stewart post I see tonight, John Stewart owned this from the start
- inactive, on 03/13/2009, -2/+28Wow, that was tough to watch. Bravo Jon Stewart.
- Firstdaughter, on 03/13/2009, -2/+27Jon Stewart has chops - he's proven that he's much more than an entertainer/comedian.
- NinjaGod, on 03/13/2009, -2/+26Damn, Jon Stewart is the ***** man. He just took Cramer behind the tool shed..
- inactive, on 03/13/2009, -4/+25Ouch. If this was a boxing match, they would have stopped the fight.
Can we now stop pretending that The Daily Show doesn't deal in "real news"? - xerigen, on 03/13/2009, -1/+22Oh my. I felt uncomfortable just watching the interview, I can't imagine how Cramer felt.
- inactive, on 03/13/2009, -2/+20246 diggs and not on the front page.
- humanerror, on 03/13/2009, -2/+20Synopsis:
Stewart: When are we going to realize that WORK creates value, and there's no ethical way to sit back and make easy money through other people's work? Is your network on the side of the workers creating value, or the unethical people exploiting them?
Cramer: You're right, you're right, but I'm an entertainer doing a job. - maxtrix, on 03/13/2009, -1/+18Can you imagine:
Stewart / Nixon - Anim8tor, on 03/13/2009, -1/+16Great television.
- paradigmxx, on 03/13/2009, -0/+14Canadian mirror?
- wherearemymeds, on 03/13/2009, -2/+16Brilliant! I think Cramer and ilk may have finally learned a little respect--
Keep it up Stewart!
And thanks for showing these dips (and you KNOW they all watched) that civil discourse is far more compelling when it's passionate, truthful and yes, funny. - Echota, on 03/13/2009, -0/+13You rule Jon!
Keep bring the "real" new's to us folk! - mikek814, on 03/13/2009, -2/+15Sorry negative article about interview is on NYTIMES
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/14/arts/television/ ...
they do not get it and never will since they are part of the system - John_C, on 03/13/2009, -5/+18I guess Stewart was all out of bubble gum.
- ProfessorSYM, on 03/13/2009, -0/+12Cramer may have (a little), but his bosses at CNBC as well as those he has conspired with to manipulate markets are probably seething right now, figuring out a way to get Stewart back.
- xerigen, on 03/13/2009, -2/+14I think "evisceration" is the word I will use.
- timothycrash01, on 03/13/2009, -6/+17Summary:
Cramer: Oh man, I'm totally going to lose my job over this....better seem sympathetic.
Stewart: And they thought we'd never be relevant once Obama was President. - wpjmurray, on 03/13/2009, -3/+14Jon Stewart is not telling people to use their hard-earned money to play a game, moron. And The Daily Show doesn't hide the fact that it's a satirical look a the news. It's not like they're telling everybody to take everything seriously, and it seems to me that the people who do watch The Daily Show are smart enough to know what's real and what's hyperbole. I consistently find that people who say that The Daily Show is stupid and that Jon Stewart is just a comedian are idiot Republicans whose black-and-white mentality extends to their inability to parse something as smart as The Daily Show. You need Fox News to give you your straight up "news", and if you want comedy it's easier to figure out the dick and ***** jokes from Larry the Cable Guy than to have to work a little to get both the news and satire from one source.
- Johnnehblazes, on 03/13/2009, -2/+13hahahaha... proceeded by a BofA ad. hahahahaha. iironyyyy
- MacEnvy, on 03/13/2009, -1/+11True, he deserves much more credit than that coward Santelli, who *canceled* his Daily Show interview last week when he realized it was going to be tough. Cramer stepped in as a worthy successor, and deserves props for knowingly taking the punch.

- shadowspawn, on 03/13/2009, -0/+9I was wondering where this was. The unedited one isn't even on thedailyshow.com for some reason, even tho they said it was in AP news.

- PWoT, on 03/13/2009, -0/+8Did this get buried?
- ironhide, on 03/13/2009, -0/+8517 - I'm not going to be like the Inforwars kooks last night and claim this is a conspiracy, but I would love to see the Digg algorithm and why it's keeping this from popping.
- jeffstevens199, on 03/13/2009, -1/+9OMG I love the Daily Show...Thank you Jon Stewart!
- shadowspawn, on 03/13/2009, -1/+9Dugg for Stewart showing APL fanboy truism (iPhone) from JC. And...

- smoothmedia, on 03/13/2009, -0/+6Comedynetwork.ca has decided not to put it up yet..... *****
- novenator, on 03/13/2009, -0/+6abso-f-cking-lutely. All wealth is created by labor. Without the workers creating everything, we would live in the stone age. Unfortunately, there has been so many parasites at the top that do nothing but leech money off workers that the people that do the work have to live without many basic needs (health care, affordable education, etc.).
- MacEnvy, on 03/13/2009, -2/+8"Tell me a system that works better than capitalism, do you think central planning works? "
No, I think a robust mixed-market economy is what works, and it's what we actually have anyway. There's never been a free market, and never will be. There are only aspects that tip the balance between pure capitalism and pure socialism, and the balance in between is what we all fight about.
"Capitalism is what gave John Stewart the ability to speak to millions of people and call out Jim Cramer on his show."
Pure *****. Codified freedom of the press is what gave him that ability, the same freedom you'd get in many countries you likely consider "socialist" nations (namely, Northern Europe). You don't need capitalism to have free speech.
"The only system that recognizes the importance of every person is capitalism."
Again, you're just plain wrong. The only system that rewards those able to accumulate wealth as "better" than poor people is capitalism. The more you slide the scale toward socialism, the more you are saying that every individual is deserving of some basic level of services, that every individual is important enough to deserve to survive even if they're down-and-out on a streetcorner. - inactive, on 03/13/2009, -3/+9Cramer is a hack, yelling and jumping around like he's been smoking meth. Stewart sure made Cramer's stock tank, maybe he'll move to fox with the rest of the *****! Stewart had him on the ropes, except for when he was down, and then - he should of stayed down... What a bitch!
