Guess there really is no place like 127.0.0.1 - wiredmessiah, on 10/26/2009, -7/+923That's the newest IPv7 protocol. CSI is way ahead of everyone else. DUH

- awall1987, on 10/27/2009, -1/+659"I'll create a GUI using Visual Basic"~ Best CSI quote ever. They are so high tech with their touch screens and..... Visual Basic

- inactive, on 10/27/2009, -5/+535Someone hacked the megabits and rerouted the mainframes.
- PostalPenguin, on 10/27/2009, -9/+375The one thing I hate about CSI so much, even more than the infinite zoom grainy images, or the magical computers that can identify a fingerprint from a picture of a picture of a smudge, its the fact that IT IS SO DARK. Seriously, the morgue is so dark the coroner wouldn't even notice if he was doing an autopsy on a chicken. Then the labs are so dark that I don't know how the technicians which are supposedly doing high-tech work SEE. To me it looks like Las Vegas is trying to cut their electricity bills but resorting to one fluorescent tube per room. Maybe their science fiction level computers need all the extra power.
- freebullets, on 10/27/2009, -7/+350you fail, mine's 192.168.0.1

- Chris_F, on 10/27/2009, -0/+241She just wrote up a quick Visual Basic GUI to track the hackers IP address.
- Polycarp87, on 10/27/2009, -2/+239The reason this sort of thing annoys me is because it implies incompetence and laziness on the part of the script writers. They wrote a crime mystery story where the only way to advance the plot was through some fictional magic bullet technology that does not exist. Think about this; they wrote themselves into a dead end and took the easy way out. Instead of using realistic and plausible detective work, they had to fall back on "enhancing" a picture to get a license plate or doing a "Reverse IP Lookup" to find a name and address.

- Lavarock, on 10/27/2009, -0/+127Reversed Internet Protocol Process-- ***** technobabble
Results: 2 of 7-- Why are there 7 people sharing IPs? for life mind you. These IP addresses are apparently tied to people. (which is impossible)

IP address: 55736.2271.3383.11940-- whoa cowboy. way too many ***** numbers there.
Name and address-- You don't tie IP addresses to people. Just doesn't work like that. They're not even permanently fixed to specific home addresses.
