First they pick up an awesome pilot that turns into a fantastic first season, then some suits decide they need to 'make it better', slowly the fans realize how stupid the show has gotten and the ratings begin to fall. Finally they cancel the show to make room for something else, usually before all the major plot lines are resolved.

What they need to do is simple. Kill of characters. When people are actually dying in the show the weaker links will try harder to act and the people will actually have a feeling that the shows has death around it. All they do is insert some character that you dont know much about then kill him off 5 episodes later.
I think what was killing heroes is the fact that all the audiences know they wont kill anyone. Why not let the bad guys win and kill off some people. The major climax for the villains novel was over in a few minutes the main bad guy didnt even put up much of a fight syler just killed him real fast. His stupid flying brother, the ice girl, get rid of the ability for people to paint the future its done and over and now no one cares about that ability. Stop trying to bring back the old talent and start burning in new faces. The only person that should be a permanent character id say is clair, her dad, nathan, and the guy that can read minds. Every other character should start dying off.
The only major character that died is the electric chick i totally am blanking on her name. That is NOT why I watch heroes. If I want to watch a show like that I will watch 24 or prison break. I want to see people using their powers.
I think the sadest moment was yesterday's episode when they had parkman paint the picture of guess what? something exploding!! OMG they have to save the world again from an explosion like every other season.. god they need new writers.

Yesterday's episode was pretty much Parkman in a hotel room looking like he's pinching one off while staring at Noah tied to a chair with a periodic argument with Mohinder thrown in. The shows budget is so low now that Peter doesn't fly so much as just leave camera view and there is a whoosh sound effect. I laugh at those people who back in season 1 who said Heroes was going to be a much better show then LOST going forward. Wouldn't shock me if we get a Jericho style rushed BS conclusion after how bad this show has gotten.

- norman619, on 02/25/2009, -2/+31The show is called Heroes not Sylar. The problem is that they hired hack writers for the last 2 seasons or the writers are smoking some good stuff or both. Last season they ignored their own show bible which ruined the show. They have been making the kind of writing mistakes you expect from newbie writers. Sylar's story is the only one keeping me coming back this season so far. They castrated Hiro and Peter but left Sylar alone which made no sense at all.

The plot became beyond ridiculous after season one (which was brilliant... for a TV show), with more asinine twists and turns than M. Knight Shamalyan's entire filmography. When Mohinder came out of the hotel last night he should have been tossing cars around (because he's super-strong, right?), but instead he runs up and punches two guys. Lame. When Peter flew to the storage unit, they didn't show him flying, they just showed him *landing* which looked like he just jumped over a camera laying on the ground. Lame.
