- UnknownCzar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Well... Vonnegut IS dead now... so even though I also agree he should have been numba 1, it's kinda past that point now..

www.colbernation.com
is officially down for the count as of this frontpage digg - sharkbaitbobby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6There's an idea!
If you type certain questions into Google, you'll get an answer, such as http://www.google.com/search?q=what+is+the+population+of+japan%3F
So, theoretically, if some high PR sites/pages put the string "Stephen Colbert is the greatest living American", you may get Stephen Colbert if you go to http://www.google.com/search?q=who+is+the+greatest+living+american%3F (which already has colbertnation.com for the first result)
That would make it the best Googlebomb ever. - Toupee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7But your document doesn't actually do *****...
- PATSCRU, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7erect with enthusiasm

- zeezeetopzac, on 03/18/2009, -0/+0How can you not root for someone who defies logic and doesn't concern himself with the need to be Politically Correct.
- awinters, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0He's a funny dude. He's definately earned the credit. He's been consistently funny since the beginning of the show with just a few off nights. How can I get paid millions to act like a fool for a half hour 4 nights a week?
- Akronos, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3You is not funny.
- geekee, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Not so on http://www.ask.com
- mlfoley, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3But Stephen Colbert IS the greatest living American. It only shows that google is finely attuned to culture.

He's funny but this is getting out of hand. Greatest living american my ass. - shayansh, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1I cant believe it, man, the influence he has. He should run for president!
- shellwe, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0Yea, now I just need to be able to find out how to pump up results for my websites I do...
- understudy, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3Dear Google,
While this type of thing is hilarious sometimes, you've got to admit that it kind of shows that your search engine still needs work. So, instead of launching a thousand BETA services—services that you may or may not continue after a year—how about you focus on Google Search and GMail.
_
PS: Can you also do something to whittle down 100,000 results to just 1,000 very relevant ones? - lokoluis15, on 10/12/2007, -18/+11"Results 1 - 10 of about 77,500,000 for greatest living american."
It's over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAND! -
