Fox cancels 'Mad TV'

variety.com — Fox is closing the book on “Mad TV” after 14 seasons. Net confirmed Wednesday that the Saturday night sketch series, which had barely escaped cancellation in recent years, will end its run at the end of this season.

The thing that really gets to me though is if something like SNL was going to get canned (which hasn't been that funny in a while btw besides Tina Fey's cameos as Palin and I'll go as far to say that MAD tv's funnier; but I digress), people would be going *****. In any case, MAD tv still had a good run and kudos to Michael McDonald (best known for Stuart) for being there all the way to the end. McDonald, Aries Spears, and even Bobby Lee were like the only things to look forward to in the later MAD tv episodes. Here's some of my favourite sketches:

  • roxgod666, on 11/13/2008, -1/+48Hmm how odd. It seems Carlos Mencia's ratings severely dropped when making fun of Mexicans became dull and not funny. He has nothing to fall back on. His whole act which focuses 100% around making fun of mexicans is completely useless.
