- AmyVernon, on 07/25/2008, -0/+14Except not evil. (HAL? Oh, nevermind)
- Falldog, on 07/25/2008, -3/+16It's like a pile of ***** with wheels.
- ZenPirate, on 07/26/2008, -0/+13Bah. The new show is nothing more than a piss poor attempt at a Ford commercial. Why couldn't they have new people find the original car hidden away in some warehouse?
- zdiggler, on 07/26/2008, -2/+15KITT is not a Mustang!
Only kit I know is TranAM GTA - numberneal, on 07/26/2008, -2/+13just don't install vista.
- drwaterside, on 07/25/2008, -1/+12I thought they were only doing the TV movie.. did not know this was becoming a series
- agentlame, on 07/25/2008, -1/+11Good article, but the pretty much gave away all of Season 1's story arc.
Plus, shape-shifting? Really?
I had nostalgic hopes for the show, but after reading some of their ideas, I'm a bit skeptical. - MommaLu, on 07/26/2008, -1/+11As long as it's not reality TV I'm there.
- jaybol, on 07/26/2008, -0/+10you will get that message "are you sure you want to give foot permission to access brakes?"
- inactive, on 07/25/2008, -3/+12That is straight up kick ass!
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -0/+9So they upgraded the CPU, and when they turned KITT on he immediately uttered the words "OMG WTF KILL ME NOW"
- Malchiah, on 07/26/2008, -0/+7Yeah, so KITT will be cooler than in the 2-hour suckfest, but will this improve on the writing? The plot? The acting?
In the 2-hour event, the characters repeatedly and agonizingly stopped to argue about stuff while being chased. And the criminals managed to catch up to the main characters in Vegas mere minutes after they got there when KITT was going hundreds of mph! There are so many questions this article doesn't talk about and the show will not any better than the 2 hour event if all they think we complained about was "a lack of gadgets." - saggygrandma, on 07/26/2008, -1/+7but can it run crysis?
- BossKey, on 07/26/2008, -0/+5"I said open the driver side door, KITT!"
"I'm sorry Michael...I'm afraid I can't do that." - Schwab, on 07/26/2008, -0/+5Still doesn't make it good.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -0/+4no...a Replicator....
- Justice101, on 07/26/2008, -1/+5The TV movie was god awful, I didn't think they'd make it into a movie either.
- jggube, on 07/26/2008, -0/+4In the first picture - I thought it was a younger version of David Hasslehoff, weird.
- blackanode, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3Hal was not evil he was told to lie and he didn't understand.
- sanman, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3how many more times can this concept be revived?

- inactive, on 07/25/2008, -4/+7This car sounds amazing. I can't until the fall to see it in action.
- Falldog, on 07/25/2008, -1/+4Taste, have you none?
- joshblufs, on 07/26/2008, -1/+4Ugliest rims... ever.
- TheGuruStud, on 07/26/2008, -2/+5mustang=not a real car
especially not a sports car (or a highly intelligent super computer car haha) - Shogi, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3So I guess I'm the only one that remembers the show Viper?
- Zorkon, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3They went to Microsoft for advice on how to build a computer into a car? Haven't we already learned our lesson?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AutoPC - Roger, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3You mean making ***** up?
- je12u, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3***** you. Two of my friends died trying to run Crysis!!
(edit: I felt kinda bad saying ***** you to "saggygrandma" and yes I did look at your profile) - falstaff, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3As a fan of the original series in the 80's, I had high hopes, even with the possibility of consistently poor scripts (see, original series), but seriously, a shape shifting car? Has a series ever jumped the shark before the first official episode?
- spyd3rweb, on 07/26/2008, -1/+4Whos dumbass idea was it to make KITT a Ford.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2Yeah, and they manage to make one of Ford's halfway decent looking cars, and make it look like absolute *****.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2If it's not made by Donald P Belisario, it's crap.
- cheezintern, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2I'd take a ride.........oh the car looks nice too:)
- freefoodisgood, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2They don't show the car very well in the article. It looks like *****.
http://jalopnik.com/399299/first-pictures-of-turbo ... - brbubba, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2The pilot was absolutely abysmal. Go reorganize your lint ball collection instead, it would be a better use of your time.
- MadEnvoy, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2Yeah! More craptastic T.V.! Whoohooo!
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2if you see the car without the smoke it looks like a pile of *****, it has like 2" clearance in the front – the thing couldn't clear a speedbump.
- rachelclark91, on 07/26/2008, -1/+3umm suppose i dont know much bout cars (= but heyy good post ! lol
- ozziek, on 07/28/2008, -0/+2Should have gone to Apple then Kitt would only be activated after connecting to iTunes, it would only drive on certain, "approved roads" and wouldn't have turn by turn driving directions.
Bring it on! - Elliuotatar, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2I agree it looks like a pile of *****... But so did the cars from Speed Racer, and those looked great on screen. So maybe this will look better with whatever cool lighting and effects they film it with.
I for one am a little more interested in this after reading the article. I didn't watch the movie premeire though, so I don't know if that was total *****. The idea of KITT being smart, but lacking experience is an interesting one. And if I were a kid, I'm sure I'd love a car which has more than five different functions and would surprise me with something new each week. I still remember how excited I was as a kid when they first introduced super-pursuit mode.
I think we need to accept that this is a different kind of KITT. A reboot of the franchise. And that anything they do is going to look silly. I mean look at how absurd the Bat Cycle was. I'm not a motorcycle enthusiast, but even I could tell that that thing couldn't possibly turn inside of 100'. Yet we accepted it. - lecturethis, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2"With a hand from Microsoft"....Kit's gonna blue screen
- supermanred, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2So you think you are such a fan of the original show?
"KITT" is an AI being, seperate from the car.
The Knight Industries Two Thousand is the vehichle, so is the Three Thousand.
KITT is not a mustang, and KITT was never a TransAM GTA... - madrigaelic, on 07/26/2008, -1/+3That's got to be a rad job: building the computer specs for hte new Knight Rider.
- supermanred, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2If you actually watched the tv movie, the shape shifting involves changing the color and style features of the mustang... it doesnt become a robot or transform into a handy cheese straightener or anything silly like that.
- robdiggity, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2Stop. Just.... just stop.
- darthjure, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2I want to like it, but that last movie really sucked!
- JustinPM, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2It's starting to remind me of Viper. I didn't think the nanotech armor thing was that unbelievable, but the shape changing car thing?
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1Hey, I'm a Ford fan, have been for 40 years, I've driven 4 different models of the Mustang, and I still drive
one today, so, you can say I'm a Ford fan, but, in my opinion, K.I.T.T. should NEVER be a Mustang...only
a T/A. Couldn't GM give them one of the Camero prototypes to build up as a K.I.T.T.? Not only would it "preserve" the original series, but, just think what GM could do with the marketing on that, when the new style comes out. -
