Family Guy Writers Report Back To Work!

variety.com — Production has finally begun on the sixth season of Fox's animated smash "Family Guy," 2 ½ months after the show's writers were told not to report to work. Work was halted on "Family Guy" last fall as talks between producer 20th Century Fox TV and series creator Seth MacFarlane on an overall deal had reached an impasse.

Wow, you figured out that Family Guy has certain joke formulas (probably because you had to have South Park tell you). Congratulations. So does all TV. If you can't laugh at the absurdity of Family Guy then most contemporary adult-cartoon humor probably goes over your head. (in before "or below my feet")

  You got me there. Thanks to South Park's long, formal thesis paper on the common comic motifs used in many situations in Family Guy's accurate, insightful political and social commentary, I understand all the in-depth fart jokes and references to Hollywood's washed up "C" list, regardless of whether or not they make me feel like someone is popping my testes with a pair of pliars.

I think it would do them good to make a show following the Robot Chicken format. This way they wouldn't have to worry about me not caring about characters and plots and could focus on providing the laughter.

eminem213486, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1what you guys dont seem to get is that family guy reminds us of pop culture and a time when ***** wasnt as bad as it is now with the FCC and the war going on. it gives grownups a chance to escape (while tokin on some good ***** hehe) and younger audiences a taste of what tv used to be like. Family guy has gone as far as southpark in some aspects of pop culture and it wont go away anytime soon.

family guy and southpark for life. because idiots dont seem to get the meaning behind episodes.
