- MrBabyMan, on 09/01/2008, -8/+170Apparently not quite as effortless as it appeared: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F25YWWpigco
- JAMMR, on 09/01/2008, -6/+104What the hell is Brylcream?
- irfanmp, on 09/01/2008, -3/+83I don't know but I'm buying it.
- ZeMeisterstuck, on 09/01/2008, -2/+62Shouldn't you be submitting something, mister?
- Psygnosis, on 09/01/2008, -2/+57I don't know about you, but that's pretty much how my morning routine goes.
- meishme, on 09/01/2008, -2/+47Reminds me of this 4-minute unedited fight-scene from The Protector... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K06wDn3XsZE
- socme, on 09/01/2008, -1/+44So uh - did the turtle ever get his toast?
- burden555, on 09/01/2008, -1/+35sometimes I like to throw tennis balls at my friends head too but it doesnt end up like that :(
- ScottMcIntyre, on 09/01/2008, -1/+24It's a hair styling gel for men sold in the UK.
- wiirdo, on 09/01/2008, -0/+22*****! You must be under 25. I remember the jingle when I was little... "A little dab'll do ya."
- mechfluff, on 09/01/2008, -3/+25Nice. I was thinking there was CG involved.
- Hockey13, on 09/01/2008, -2/+24I think there probably was CG involved, which is why they didn't show the entire final cut, instead cutting back to other people and shots of his shadow behind a curtain. It's also probably way there was an air of humor around the "training" video.
- Thoku, on 09/01/2008, -1/+15Thats pretty epic.
- WhoDoneIt, on 09/01/2008, -4/+17Who the hell puts ice cubes in their milk?
- JohnFlux, on 09/01/2008, -0/+12latent heat is the heat that keeps it a liquid. If you remove the latent heat from the milk, it would become a solid.
- yaddayaddayoda, on 09/01/2008, -0/+10I'm a Dapper Dan man!
- TheLostChild1, on 09/01/2008, -6/+15It's all real, and that's what freaked me out. Well friggin' done!
- mV0G7, on 09/01/2008, -4/+13Ya know MrBabyMan, you could have easily squeezed another popular submission out of the the Making Of video once the original hit the front page.
Just saying... - Dotcommer, on 09/01/2008, -0/+9Hahahah, toast for the turtle.
- nixpix66, on 09/01/2008, -1/+10The effort comes with setting that up every morning just to get breakfast
- mV0G7, on 09/01/2008, -3/+12But it just... um... did
- lulzy, on 09/01/2008, -0/+8i'm sure he's makng bank off advertising money and he has a genuinely marketable skill. you however can suck dahg *****
- TomTruelle, on 09/01/2008, -1/+9haha, reminded me of peewees big adventure.
"GOOD MORNING MR. BREAKFAST!" - phibit, on 09/01/2008, -0/+7I think he's saving an elephant if I remember correctly... This scene is also pretty cool, though it isn't unedited. Lots of limbs cracking...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ds36EeXhh-Y - inactive, on 09/01/2008, -5/+12That was pure awesomeness
- newz0r, on 09/01/2008, -5/+12Dugg, for the turtle in front of the T.V.
- dlite922, on 09/01/2008, -0/+7you rub it on your linux build, makes it look pretty.
/beryl
oh sue me, I'm a geek. - Forky, on 09/01/2008, -1/+8For us who don't get this broadcasted to our TVs. It's actualy quite an awesome ad to see.
- sephiroth965, on 09/01/2008, -0/+6@Katana314 This one literally set a world record though. (for longest uncut fight scene.)
And yeah the movie was about him going all the way to Sydney from Thailand to save his elephant. The plot and the acting were terrible, but it's worth watching just for Tony Jaa. He kicks ass. Also, according to Wikipedia, Jaa's family (irl) really raises elephants. - kingdomdude, on 09/01/2008, -1/+7Now I miss my Grandpa.
Brylcreem, a little dab will do yah.
Brylcreem, you look so debonair!
Used to sing it in the morning.
See it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRcRIbExrfg - DougUpndown, on 09/01/2008, -0/+5I thought it was a Giant Tortoise.
- mentor972, on 09/01/2008, -2/+7It's very obvious even after watching the "training video" that there was CG involved in this.
- Lewiji, on 09/01/2008, -2/+6I guess Sneezyx and JohnFlux are bald and bitter :(
- rowlodge, on 09/01/2008, -0/+4that looked like it took a lot of effort.
- Shenaniganz08, on 09/02/2008, -0/+4***** that soccer ball was CG
- alvarezx00, on 09/02/2008, -0/+4dugg for giant turtle
- mV0G7, on 09/01/2008, -0/+4I don't know about you, but I would certainly not hell that cream.
- plup, on 09/01/2008, -1/+5Don't worry, those ads aren't made for you. It's not like you'd need hair-gel in your frigid step-mom's basement.
- mV0G7, on 09/01/2008, -0/+4What the ***** are you talking about?
- Thoku, on 09/01/2008, -2/+6Dude, its a tortoise. Turtles have flippers.
- tidu, on 09/01/2008, -2/+6nor did the tennis ball that closed the fridge...
- Katana314, on 09/01/2008, -0/+4There are many scenes of this kind. I think they're generally called Long Takes. There's a good one in Atonement, and in Children of Men.
- phibit, on 09/01/2008, -0/+3LIFE LIFE LIFE!
- MrSpiffy, on 09/03/2008, -0/+3The soccer ball is possible but certainly fake.
The tennis ball is fake.
The flipped bowl is probably fake.
The hat looks real but probably fake too. - Forky, on 09/01/2008, -3/+6They made it in the same studio as they did the moonlanding. And I've also heard that that's where JFK lives.
- Cogboy, on 09/01/2008, -6/+9This seems to have fooled a great many people, the fake making of was a nice touch. very well done.
- fleischner, on 09/01/2008, -2/+5Very cool, but I wonder how many times the poor tortoise got hit with the soccer ball before they got it right...
- matperk, on 09/01/2008, -1/+4^^^ Isn't that the point of the second video? To show he did it all in one take and it was real?
