- bradallen18, on 10/12/2007, -6/+52Dwight Schrute: Did you get your tickets?
Jim Halpert: To what?
Dwight Schrute: The gun show. [kisses bicep] - LaughingMan11, on 10/12/2007, -3/+45RYAN STARTED THE FIRE! It was always burning, since the world been turning!
- computerdude33, on 10/12/2007, -1/+36I am 99.9% sure that is NOT Ben Franklin.

Terrific - Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27Hopefully this will be a great episode. Because The Office is so scripted, I'm not sure how well Rainn will do with a live show. That being said, I've seen him on talk shows and he's been pretty funny.
Having Dwight host will probably not bring SNL back from the terrible slump they are in, but it could be a start (personally, though, I would much rather see Jenna Fischer host the show) - Br0wn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24I hope he brings his Gaydar.
- TridenTBoy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20Are you far-sighted or near-sighted?
Ben: Both, that's why I invented the bi-focal.
Dwight: GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH - rcran, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20I think the best ever one of those was in the fire episode in season 2, when the fire truck shows up...
'Yeaaaaaahh, great response time, listen up I got a few theories...' - ngandy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18To give you a reference point I am somewhere between a snake and a mongoose…and a panther...
- AgentMull, on 10/12/2007, -7/+25I was all excited yesterday during work. I thought he was supposed to host last night. The arcade fire is going to be on there along with them. It's going to be an awesome show.
- chubbymidget, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Unless it said "The Office writing staff set to write episode of SNL" It's still going to suck.
- bcasper1, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20and besides Ive read that Rainn Wilson and Steve Carrell do a lot of improvisations on the show
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16umm, in America (i'm guessing you're Canadian, LeafsScore) it's live in the eastern time zone
- smithy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15The first six were also very hard to watch for fan of the British office due to the reuse of many of the jokes in those episodes. Almost all of them did not come off as well, and felt very off due to the character changes. Of course after those six the US office comes into its own and becomes something well worth watching.
- sctechguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Boy, you must be hilariously fun at the office Christmas party...
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14@monstermagnet
What the ***** are you talking about? When SNL is presenting a new show, it is being performed live from New York. Yes, I understand they have reruns, but those shows were live when they were on for the first time, you idiot.
The show might not be live in Canada because NBC doesn't broadcast to Canada. Shows like SNL have to be imported from the US for Canadian audiences, so they are probably not live when they are presented in Canada.
But, when the show is airing a new episode, it is live, despite what all you ***** idiots think - hbweb500, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Dick in a Box? Lazer Cats 2? Body Fuzion? Those are some pretty good skits, and all are pretty recent.
- captainpete, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12that's what she said?
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Hmm, never heard of the "Nelson" ratings system
- mattsidesinger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Do you crash yours into poles and puke?
- tolbs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12"imho, rainn sucks in any other role i've seen him in."
Have you seen him on Six Feet Under? He did a pretty good job there, playing an extremely one off moritician in training. - shawnanigans, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10SNL is aired live in Canada in EST. The Leafs fan is a retard. As are all Leafs fans. And NBC is broadcast in Canada. Most Canadians live near the border and get the signals.
- Rikushix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Well if he's talking about time zones, he's wrong, but as far as I know SNL has only twice, in history, ever played with a 30 second delay. Both were because the main guest on both shows were considered "too hot to handle" by network TV, and they didn't want to risk someone dropping the F-bomb. I don't remember their names at the moment...anyway, I'm under the impression that SNL really does air live the majority of the time.
- pmuse, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Yes it is.
- captainpete, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7i could picture kevin saying that
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12@bcasper
Actually, no, that's not true at all. Many cast members have said that The Office is 95% scripted and planned out ahead of time and that there are very, very few improvised moments. Credit should be given to the cast for making the show feel improvised and fresh, though - DownIsTheNewUp, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12And more importantly: special music guest THE ARCADE FIRE
- t4ll3y, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I hope he's in character. That would kick ass.
- Ellsass, on 11/05/2008, -4/+11They've had about one per year, not enough to make up for the other 99% of the show.
- funkspiel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Dwight and I both drive Firebirds.
- Snoop916, on 10/12/2007, -8/+14Maybe Dwight can bring some humor to SNL, finally.
- matamoris, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9I wish Pam would host SNL...naked.
- jefferygomer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"Hopefully this will be a great episode. Because The Office is so scripted, I'm not sure how well Rainn will do with a live show. That being said, I've seen him on talk shows and he's been pretty funny."
That should be a good sign though. There are way more improvisational requirements on the interviews than, the very scripted, SNL. - hbweb500, on 10/12/2007, -8/+12I dunno, with the recent Digital Shorts from the guys at thelonelyisland.com, SNL is starting to make a turn-around.
- Cojawfee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4SNL is live in the Eastern and Central time zones of the US.
- AgentMull, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3He was also on Monk as a baseball fan who caught the 78th home run (or what ever number) of a baseball player.
- maxtypezero, on 10/12/2007, -25/+28too bad SNL sucks a lot.
- captainpete, on 10/12/2007, -0/+31985 called... they want their car back.
- mjpatey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3SNL really is live, according to http://www.faqs.org/faqs/tv/sat-night-live/faq/
Only twice have they operated on a short delay, due to the host's reputation for "working blue":
13 Dec 1975: Richard Pryor (7 second delay)
12 May 1990: Andrew Dice Clay (7 second delay) - tolbs, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4People said the same thing about SNL when Will Ferrel was on. Everyonce in a while SNL hits a several year lull and gets brought back from the Ashes due to some new talent rising up. Just give it time (maybe a year or two), and everyone will be saying how great it is again. SNL is as bandwagon-y as it gets.
- tolbs, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Errr, I think he meant best ratings this season for this particular show....it's all about how you look at it in context.
- sctechguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"That's too bad, because it's a 1987!"
- Tony611, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3On the bright side, it's not an X-Earth
- Mikecol, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4A better version of "No Cars Go" is coming on their upcoming LP "Neon Bible".
- MikeCP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1His crowning achievement was as that one alien dude in the background all the time in galaxyquest.
- drsnacks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't watch The Office, but that blog had a picture of Arthur from Six Feet Under. Is he going to be on SNL too? I loved that ugly virgin nut-case!
- bytor4232, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5SNL has always sucked, right from the beginning, with the occasional great skit. The problem is that as time goes by, we only remember the great skits, and forget the rest of the heap of crap they pump out for 90 minutes.
- EvilAnimator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Also, he played a Harry Knowles type guy in Entourage who got raped by a dildo by 3 real porn starletts. You can't beat that.
