- Exbzurq, on 07/06/2008, -1/+70I for one will be very pissed if the 6 in Baltar's head is not explained adequately.
- seldon452, on 07/07/2008, -1/+37Battlestar is one of the few reasons that I still turn on the television every week. (Or used to until the season ended)
- hexcr03, on 07/07/2008, -1/+37I just hope they explain how mexican adama and white lee are related ;-)
- rocketman42, on 07/07/2008, -1/+34I'm hoping they find a colony of talking apes.
- sockpuppets, on 07/07/2008, -0/+29Then you're doing it wrong.
- Falldog, on 07/07/2008, -0/+29I'm pretty sure my spine doesn't light up when I'm having sex.
- Skooma714, on 07/07/2008, -1/+29So say we all
- wacki, on 07/07/2008, -0/+14I'm pretty sure I couldn't control a computer by ramming a wire in my wrist
- floejoe, on 07/07/2008, -2/+13I think one could make a strong case that she is just his subconscious. They did a MRI scan equivalent and found nothing. Can't be an implant. Making him the final cylon would be sort of pointless considering they've been playing that card so often, it's kind of like what's the point?
If you assume she is just his subconscious playing out then that would explain why the other Six is seeing a version of baltar, because she has developed a consciousness too, which means that there is not so much difference between cylon and human.
I am starting to wonder if there is in fact absolutely no difference between skinjobs and humans and that toasters are in fact playing both sides against one another and basically they have let humans kill themselves. Saves toasters the dirty work. - nodong, on 07/07/2008, -1/+12Or Wall-E
- wpgbrownie, on 07/07/2008, -0/+10I doubt that she is his subconscious, because I can't remember the name of the episode but when Baltar was attacked by that angry mob in his 'temple' she told him to stand up. But he couldn't so she lifted him up, which looked like he was almost floating up.
Then there was a handful of times she made premonitions of the future. - NYCPALADIN, on 07/07/2008, -0/+10Don't forget about Baltar in Six's head.
- Herv3, on 07/07/2008, -1/+11WHAT ABOUT HEAD BALTAR IN BATLAR'S HEAD?!
Season 4, episode 2. - thephosphorbox, on 07/07/2008, -0/+10That would be a great comedy sketch for Robot Chicken LOL
- TenebrousX, on 07/07/2008, -0/+9Cylon sappin' my planetary defenses!
- gaqua, on 07/07/2008, -1/+10Battlestar is obnoxious because of the 6-8 month wait between halves of a season. I love the show but GOOD GOD I have to pretend it doesn't exist for months at a time or I get annoyed. It's like being a George R R Martin fan, 5 years between books.
Whatever happened to The Dresden Files? Is that ***** gone for good or will they be making a season 2? - darkfus, on 07/07/2008, -0/+8BSG makes for great, great television but I am entirely sick and tried of the way the spread out the episodes. I can't remember what the hell happened after a year and my level of excitement for its return usually wanes substantially by that time. It has made me largely weary of getting caught up in other Sci Fi channel original series. After this series, I'll be done with Sci Fi Channel.
BSG still rules, overall. - unrequited, on 07/07/2008, -0/+7"There's that word again, heavy. Why are things so heavy in the future, is there some problem with the earth's gravitational pull?"
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -1/+8There is nothing I like better than to smoke a little green and relax into some BSG.
- bpeacock22, on 07/07/2008, -2/+9I am hoping that they clear up what to me is a huge plot hole....namely why is everyone still going to Earth? Once the truce was made, why didn't the humans do an about-face and go back to the colonies? Because they are completely radioactive? Has that been stated, if so? But even more so, why are the Cylons going? Were they not content with their TWELVE planets, that they had to have Earth too? I seem to remember Three saying something about how the Cylon god may not have wanted them to blast humanity to bits after all and so they are leaving behind the Colonies to start over...but that's pretty sketchy...
Anyone care to clarify, or imirite? - bjs3171, on 07/07/2008, -0/+7I love Burn Notice. A lot. Like a mini Bond movie every week.
- ninjadave, on 07/07/2008, -0/+6I personally don't think any explaination is warranted. There are plenty of possible themes stemmed from Baltar and Six. I think that each is displayed as a messiah of the other races' flaws. Baltar gives a view to the One God, while Six gives cylons the idea of mortality.
I dunno, I think it's fine if its just there. - neotrantor, on 07/07/2008, -0/+61) they only have a truce with the one ship, the rest of the cylon fleet was overseen by that brother cavil and his bunch.. we don't know anything about the powerstructure of the society at large or anything at all about the homeworld
2) they have 14 planets, including kobol and the cylon homeworld
for those that don't know, assiac asimov wrote the concept for the original battlestar, and i think the ending can be clued in from the ending of the foundation series (they find earth is radioactive)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundation_and_Earth# ...
the search for earth was also a big theme of the later foundation novels but it should be noted that in foundation and earth they ind alpha centauri first, which they assume is earth but are obviously mistaken. the scene of what looks like the brookyln bridge could just be a city on one of earth's satellite worlds that got nuked before the current colonies were formed (goes with the whole circular history theme)
i think they'll find the ship of lights people on the moon or some *****..
i hate waiting :( - WELLDOITLIVE, on 07/07/2008, -0/+6Are you the sweet looking toaster version or the boring human-looking kind?
- inactive, on 07/07/2008, -0/+6So say we all!
- Elshar, on 07/07/2008, -0/+5Maybe his mother is white? Freshman biology stuff, really. My wife is half native american and if you looked at her, you wouldn't believe it, but she is. On the other hand I'm maybe 1/16th at most and I look more native than she does.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punnett_square
Shows how a person with a white mother and a mexican father can look white, mexican, or a mixture, etc. - sockpuppets, on 07/07/2008, -2/+7FYI I am a cylon.
- bjs3171, on 07/07/2008, -1/+6what?? i ***** love burn notice. he's the cool one, his partners provide the personality. and they do some creative ***** on that show. far far better than Chuck.
- bcrich999, on 07/07/2008, -1/+6The biggest disappointment with season 4 so far has been Baltar's character with the whole religion crap
- venuspcs, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4I share the "hate to wait" sentiments of most of the posters above, but I will sorely miss this show and can't wait until the spin-off starts up. Oh and as far as Baltar is concerned if you remember back in Season 2 (I think) Baltar prior to becoming president developed a test to test if a person was a cylon or not.....he tested himself and determined he was in fact cylon. I don't think he is one of the final five, but I think he may be the creator.......I hope it turns out that he developed the technology to clone himself back on Caprica and became the Father of the Cylons. Why else would he have survived everything else he has been through?
- sodade, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4Because they have this long break, I've convinced the wife to let me cancel my satellite subscription. If I can find an easy way to download the episodes when the show resumes, I'll just do that. We've been paying 60$ a month for "13 channels of ***** on the TV to choose from" and BG is the only show we watch anymore.
- gaqua, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4If the Humanoid Cylons reactivated the self-aware circuits in the Toaster Cylons, and the Toaster Cylons can now decide what they do, what's the difference between where we are now with the show and where we were 40 years ago before the first cylon war?
Humans create sentient machines - machines revolt - humans fight robots.
Robots create human-like robots - human-like robots revolt - robots fight human-like robots. - Mykal73, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4I think it has to do with the 2 factions of Cylons. Cavil (sp?) and his group probably wouldn't accept the Cylons who allowed the Centurions self awareness back.
- Virgule, on 07/07/2008, -0/+4January 2009
- wrxpert, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3I am with you. I love that show. Bruce Campbell is awsome. The show is fun. It is also nice that we get the new season over the summer.
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3I am glad that I didn't really get into Battlestar until couple months ago. I'm only on Season 2, and there's no commercials =)
I can watch one episode or 5 in a row which rocks. Same thing happened to me with Lost, I didn't get into it until after Season 2 finished. It just sucked when I got caught up and had to wait for new episodes =( - gaqua, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3I really like the narration, too. It's like MacGyver meets Bond.
- MadOgre, on 07/07/2008, -1/+4Then it would be mediocre.
- drlha, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3BSG "stole" nothing from Firefly, the effects for both shows were produced by the same company, hence the similarities.
- mr1saturn, on 07/07/2008, -1/+4This wait to finally end the series is brutal! Viewers have put up with a lot for this show, it's a shame we have to endure another long wait.
- ScottoGato, on 07/07/2008, -1/+4What about Baltar head in head's Baltar?!
- seand, on 07/07/2008, -2/+4hah! nice :)
- Durrok, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2Still no update on when the TV series will be out. Still no update on when the next Ice and Fire book will be out either. :|
- cjacks9, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2Burn Notice is a decent enough show to watch. Cheesy, yes. But decent enough.
- cjacks9, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2As I recall...the miniseries ended with Adama saying they're going to find Earth after jumping away from that gassy planet, in-his-mind Six telling Baltar there are Cylons in the fleet and a Boomer copy joining her Cylon brethren in a room on the gassy planet. The first episode of Season 1 was 33 Minutes...where they're constantly jumping every 33 minutes to stay ahead of the Cylons.
I think anyway. - sodade, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2Speaking of George R R Martin, what the hell is taking so long with the HBO series? You'd think they'd be cranking that out now.
- r337ard, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2@wpg:
While I too doubt it is purely his subconscious, it's entirely possible his body was really just interpreting the commands of a shattered mind. - dwigley21, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2BSG didn't steal from firefly. The crew that did firefly needed a job.
If you watch one of the very first shows when the now president is given the diagnosis of cancer out of the window you can see the Firefly ship take off. - anillop, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2Damn , and i was totaly expecting them to reveal everything about the upcoming season. Oh well.
j/k - robdiggity, on 07/07/2008, -0/+2Oh yeah? Well I am a Colonial Warrior. Good luck resurrecting now punk!
