- Peach3s, on 06/26/2009, -2/+64damn thats a lot of fast editing
- sjbdallas, on 06/26/2009, -3/+54Don't get me wrong, at the end of the day we all have to make a choice between right and wrong and he may have made plenty of wrong decisions. HOWEVER, his parents, Motown records, Barry Gordy, and everyone else that took a 5 year old kid and turned him into a superstar are also to blame for everything that he became -- good and bad.
- JeffLongoria, on 06/26/2009, -10/+48"Yep, I am that guy. That guy that remembers child molesters for who they are"
The law is "innocent until proven guilty." He was never proven guilty. Not to mention a lot of the allegations were proven inconsistent or just plain out money-hungry parents.
I'm not going to say he was innocent but I will definately not say he is guilty. However, just because the guy has mental problems and seems strange does not mean he is a child molester. I doubt you even saw any of the court cases, read about them, or knew absolutely anything about any of the victims or what went on in court. You are just like everyone else who just saw a "freakshow" on TV and automatically assumed guilty.
Well sorry he is not guilty, until proven otherwise. - falstaff, on 06/26/2009, -1/+34That's terrible.
Awesome, but terrible. - dlan4327, on 06/26/2009, -4/+36Greatest male dancer of all time. One of the greatest dancers of all time regardless of gender.
All round entertainer. Had his trouble but I've followed Jackson the entertainer, not his personal life.
As an entertainer he was one of the best. They don't come much bigger than him. R.I.P. - luke374, on 06/26/2009, -3/+30As a video producer, I'm always ***** blown away how fast networks can throw together these pieces when stuff like this happens.
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -4/+26You know, the guy sold 750,000,000 records and was insanely talented. He was also never convicted of any wrong doing, I don't see a problem with the networks choosing to pay their respects. Whatever really happened in his personal life, he was one of the biggest entertainers of the last century.
- AresDiggs, on 06/26/2009, -0/+19How the ***** is he racist? There was no racial reference in his post you dumb *****
- danbrunell, on 06/26/2009, -0/+18They probably had one semi ready. Networks do this so they can be first when someone dies. For example, http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/995206/bl ...
- deaftly, on 06/26/2009, -0/+17You people are *****
- brownsound00, on 06/26/2009, -0/+17If you think about it... he was thrust into stardom at an age where you should only worry about playtime and having fun. He didn't have a childhood! And that made him very sad. He was a great human being... but he had been through a LOT of *****. I don't think anyone could end up anywhere close to normal without having a normal childhood. It's the stage of our greatest development!
- MWeather, on 06/26/2009, -1/+17"if i wrote a number one single, can i not go to jail if i rape a girl?"
No, to do that you need to join the NBA. - wraiyne, on 06/26/2009, -1/+17racist?
he may have been born a black man, but he died a white woman - wraiyne, on 06/26/2009, -4/+19if i wrote a number one single, can i not go to jail if i rape a girl?
- RSS14, on 06/26/2009, -1/+15Michael Jackson is a cultural legend. He deserves this.
- IllBeBack, on 06/26/2009, -2/+15That's because they all have them ready to go.
- durruticolumn, on 09/18/2009, -7/+19
Well, Iran is *****. If Ahmadinejad was thinking about bringing in the tanks, this would be the time. - inactive, on 06/26/2009, -4/+16http://j.photos.cx/michaeljackson-3a1.jpg
- MoneyShot, on 06/26/2009, -0/+12I'm pretty anti-celebrity (I'm one of those ***** who likes to proudly remind people that I've never seen an episode of American Idol), but I've giving them some slack on this one.
The guy was at the top of one of the most competitive professions in the world for a very long time. He had more actual talent than a combined 30 of the assclowns that pass themselves off as "musical artists" nowadays. And he managed to do this while being continually crushed under the limelight of celebrity since he was 5 years old (think about how many child stars actually amount to something once they grow up). He had his demons, but he did a hell of a lot more with his life than most people do. - AresDiggs, on 06/26/2009, -2/+12[In Iran at this very moment] *my god Amerika is distracted! Release the tanks*
Yea... sounds about right
/s - AresDiggs, on 06/26/2009, -4/+14What? More rioting? Ok... We can get back to that tomorrow... Let the man have his moment
- yocouchdigga, on 06/26/2009, -5/+15of course they are, they need to capitalize quick while it's still fresh in the little minds of the masses.
- Teloe, on 06/26/2009, -1/+11He wasnt proven innocent. he just got off the hook for paying that kid 20 million
- breakbread, on 06/26/2009, -16/+25Meanwhile, in Iran.....
- AresDiggs, on 06/26/2009, -0/+9Are the networks supposed to play rock-paper-scissors to see who sits out?
- edcrosay, on 06/26/2009, -0/+9Great example of premature obituaries:
http://video.aol.com/video-detail/snl-dana-carvey- ...
Sorry about the AOL link, it was the only video I could find. - mickhead, on 06/26/2009, -1/+10I'd rather they wait a couple of days to make something decent, rather than cobble something together quickly to get it ready for tonight.
- DigitalisAkujin, on 06/26/2009, -6/+14People care too much.
- brownsound00, on 06/26/2009, -1/+9I think one evening off would be ok. MJ was a worldwide hero, and gave a lot back to the world. I'm sure Iran even knows about it
- nikhil1986, on 06/26/2009, -0/+8I'm glad the networks are paying him tribute. Thriller revolutionized the music video industry. We would still be watching crappy 80s videos if not for him. RIP King of Pop!
- BoutDemCanes91, on 06/26/2009, -1/+9***** you, it's not everyday that the man with the biggest selling album in the history of humanity dies, and he was an American who was known by everyone in the world, so why shouldn't American media place his death as a headline?
- TylerDuhrdan, on 06/26/2009, -0/+8So was OJ, but we all know he did it.
- WeirdEdsel, on 06/26/2009, -2/+10I'm already getting tired of this self-righteous "Don't forget about Iran" *****. Three celebrities died in the same week. That is news, too. We've been giving Iran tons of spotlight for weeks, and it isn't like it's completely going away. Once this settles, it will be right back to the political revolution. The news can't give equal spotlight to every ***** thing at the same time. We're not forgetting about Iran, for Chrissakes.
- LaughingMan89, on 06/26/2009, -1/+9It won't work if Micheal Jackson also gets a wish.
- brownsound00, on 06/26/2009, -0/+7Where did I say that? I just said he had a really different childhood. I didn't say what he did was ok, just that he's been through a lot of crap we didn't have to go through. I'm not saying what he did was right, there were many different ways he coudl have taken, but I don't think he was mentally stable
- omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 06/26/2009, -35/+42Yup... heralding a pedophile rather than reporting on substantive news like the Iranian Revolution. American media truly is the biggest whore.
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -0/+7yeah, no trial ever took place. he bought that kid's silence (a sure sign of guilt)
- monkeyBox, on 06/26/2009, -1/+8It doesn't matter...
(if you're black or white) - brownsound00, on 06/26/2009, -1/+8How could you say he didn't? He was the king of Pop... he's the Elvis of our lifetime
- inactive, on 06/26/2009, -1/+8Go back to Youtube.
- dscan, on 06/26/2009, -10/+16This guy really revolutionized music.
- godspeed843, on 06/26/2009, -7/+13@JeffLongoria
HE SLEPT WITH KIDS THAT WERE NOT HIS OWN!!!
That is coming from his own words, believe the man when he tells you something.
I dare you to try and pull that with some of the kids in your neighborhood and we'll see what happens to you. - fiatjustitia, on 06/26/2009, -0/+5@Digg
If you were accused of a crime, would you want scarlett0hara on the jury? Can I see a show of hands?
Anyone? - TylerDuhrdan, on 06/26/2009, -0/+6Dont worry, you will be seeing Micheal Jackson content for the next week.
- uptown, on 06/26/2009, -6/+12Digg seriously needs to work on the speed at which they get stuff to the homepage. For funny pictures and videos, hours later is fine ... but for actual breaking news, the algorithm doesn't cut it anymore.
- brownsound00, on 06/26/2009, -1/+6Man, where did I say that? I'm just saying he was messed up from the beginning. If you read EITHER of my posts... I'm NOT saying he had a "license to do anything".
Do people really lack reading comprehension skills these days? - BoutDemCanes91, on 06/26/2009, -4/+9I saw Ronaldo's twitter and his comment was (in Portuguese): "When Michael Jackson got to heaven, he looked at God and said, where's baby Jesus?!"
too soon dude.. too soon - inactive, on 06/26/2009, -0/+5his father especially
Louis theroux: did you ever beat him?
Father: No. You beat someone with a belt, I whooped him with a switch. - deaftly, on 06/26/2009, -1/+6Michael Jackson > Iran
