- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -39/+74Episode 1 is hardly the entire season as the posting title implies. Marked inaccurate.
- Jaymoon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+33The first 8 episodes are available to select people of the press... I'm just hoping all 8 fall into the *right* hands before the 15th...
:P - LycoLoco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+32"So, I've never seen 24, but i've always wanted to, but i've been worried I would have to start at season 1. Is it one of those kinds of shows?"
Yes and no. There are some smaller things that you might not pick up on if you don't start at the beginning, but the great thing about 24 is that every season is its own encapsulated story, unlike something like Lost, where if you miss the end of Season 2, you absolutely shouldn't try to pick up on Season 3. - chipitople, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25its tempting to get the torrent, but i'd probably rather wait until the 2 day, 4 hour premiere next week...
- timon00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22jack bauer will hunt you down if ya get this ...
- blackjack75, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22Torture and arab and get the location of the rest of the season within minutes.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22Adding to what LycoLoco said, you absolutely do not need to watch previous seasons, but you do need to start from episode 1 of the season you plan on watching.
The only thing that makes watching previous seasons worthwhile (aside from the fact that they're just very entertaining and you won't be wasting your time) is tiny little character developments that go on. But this is not a character-driven show. Every episode is based around a certain conflict, and how the characters deal with that conflict. Plus, since they kill off 90% of every supporting character they introduce in each season, there's very little that carries over into future seasons. Even if you know nothing, you'll understand everything after just a handful of episodes and will be up-to-speed.
So, basically, all you need to know to start enjoying this is a VERY brief summary telling you who a small group of characters are, and how they got to be where they are. Example: Jack Bauer is a government agent who keeps getting pulled into his job despite his wishes to "retire", and in the last episode of the previous season he was kidnapped and imprisoned by the Chinese government for some mostly irrelevant crap he got himself involved in on a previous assignment. Go it? Good. Now go enjoy Season 6. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22You have obviously never downloaded a show...because then you would realize ads are for suckers.

I Just watched it and all I have to say is OMG!!! - sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -5/+22Spoiler: A terrorist plot unfolds and it's up to Jack Bauer to save the United States with his special brand of self sacrifice. All is not what it seems, however, and people close to him and in high places conspire to thwart his success.

- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11@jubo
You can find tons of info on Usenet via Google. In short, yes, you will have to pay for a decent Usenet server.
BTW, why on earth would you post your email address here (or anywhere)? - sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Goatse's on his way.
- kee440, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10He probably just made a mistake, I doubt he deliberately did it to mislead us.
- Maxtrosity, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16Frontpage this now! I just finished watching, my life just started revolving around 24 a week early.
- speedygonzalez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9never watched an episode of 24, ever... let alone a season, but i picked up episode 1 of this based on the recommendation of my fellow diggers here, and man this ***** is amazing... if you haven't ever seen an episode of this show, and are thinking of seeing one, do yourself a favor and download these 4 episodes... i just finished one, and i'm just waiting on 2-4 to come up... just like everyone here says, though.. it's going to be a curse now that we have to wait till episode 5 to air to continue where we're leaving off.
- tutivlahos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8No.
- Hensworth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9New 24 episode without commercials ftw.
- daprice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I'm resisting getting this because if I watch it early, then painfully I have to wait even longer for episode 2 to air.
- synthesis811, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8because most TV shows arn't on BitTorrent 1week before they are officially shown on TV
- DisembarkedOne, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10NZB for those using Newsgroups...
http://binsearch.info/?q=DivX-AsiaTeam&max=25&adv_age=7&server= - ChaoticNick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7The dvd rip of the premiere disc with 4 episodes:
http://www.mininova.org/tor/538217 - dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Err, I'd guess atleast half of the "active" Digg users use some form of Ad/script blocking (AdBlock or NoScript for example), and rarely see the adverts - Digg seems to be surviving..
And I hardly think 24 is struggling for cash, a few thousand people downloading the episode is going to fade in comparison to the millions that will watch it on TV anyway. Besides, a bunch of people seeing the episode early, and telling their friends how good it is is a very good thing for "awareness" of the show.
Anyway, I love http://www.tvrss.net - While reading the linked-to blog-post, for some reason I checked my Torrent client, and there were the two "24" episodes happily downloading, having be auto-added by TVTAD. That's why piracy is such a "problem" - It's extremely convenient.
- Ben - kal-el, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7for the people who dont want to download it WATCH IT Here
http://livedigital.com/content/1379007/ - sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Digg has ads? I use adaware, I see no ads.
- Shmoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I don't think this was a mistake. I remember that Prison Break was also "leaked" on a torrent a good month or so ahead of its premiere on television. I imagine the networks are doing this to generate buzz and excitement for the show.
- TheWorm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8So, I've never seen 24, but i've always wanted to, but i've been worried I would have to start at season 1. Is it one of those kinds of shows?
- kingvar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7OMFG. Everything was just perfect.
EXCEPT: The casting of Kal Penn (Kumar).
Anyone else burst into laughter when they saw him appear? - FreddieD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Because he's so incredibly lazy to look it up on google that he'd rather sift through spam for the chance that someone will hold his hand.
- athlonmj, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7This leak must be the workings of a FOX network MOLE! *24 ticker comes on*
- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6It's a blessing and a curse, you'll then be waiting over 2 months to find out what happens. Which you're probably used to anyway given lost and heroes...
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Midterms in January?

- reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -8/+13I love how people are digging you guys down for saying The Wire is better than 24.
Seriously, The Wire IS the greatest TV show in the past 20 years, or maybe forever. If you haven't watched it I highly recommend you do (at least watch season 1 completely). - sker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+56x01 http://www.gigeshare.com/preview/n88cd818n71fn82278878825817c8d66/
6x02 http://www.gigeshare.com/preview/1f6d11868758dndd1gfnd6852g87dn7n/ - LordHalo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I would just wait for the 2 hr premier and watch it in HD and yeah daprice is correct, the anticipation and the pain would linger longer to wait for episode 2. Right now, I'm watching Seasons 1-5 all over again
- walterk29, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Oh my God, the bite. Oh my God. Oh my God.
If you've watched the first episode you'll know what I mean. Jack Bauer is a badass. - Maxtrosity, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5FYI the new hottie is Nadia Yassir, played by Marisol Nichols.
- virtualball, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Same, but for those who have seen it, is it too late to jump in?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5YOU HAVE BEEN CONVERTED, SON. WELCOME TO THE LAND OF NO RETURN.
If you get bored waiting for the new episodes, check out the older seasons. They're all great.
Really, 24 is like injecting yourself with pure awesome (also known as heroin). - zekard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4How do you figure 5 weeks? 4 episodes Sun-Mon 14-15 then one episode every week after that... so more like 2 weeks son.
