- andys189, on 02/26/2009, -1/+38did anyone else's AdBlock remove all the pictures from the article too?
- chriscalifornia, on 03/31/2009, -1/+25I don't care what anyone says, Kinder Suprises rock :)
- tomasmarc, on 02/26/2009, -6/+27Plastation 3 ad is the scariest on the list. Scarier than 95% of supossedly 'horror' movies I've seen.
- somedevil13, on 02/26/2009, -0/+17Yeah that was confusing... I wonnder how often that happens without going detected?
- DungeonMaster20, on 02/26/2009, -0/+17Dugg For Rejuvenique . "Man, if it wasn't for this magazine to read, I would murder everyone in the house."
- Zaloo, on 02/26/2009, -1/+18The 'Baby Laugh-A-Lot' one is kinda disturbing if you watch it a couple of times in a row.
- d4ftpunk, on 02/26/2009, -0/+14No Burger King Ad?
- bloominoctober, on 02/26/2009, -0/+13Buried for the lack of the Burger King commercials involving the creepy king peekin gyour bedroom window in the early hours of the morning.
- misskari, on 02/26/2009, -0/+12Dugg for Norton Furniture commercials.
Growing up near Cleveland, these were my favorite thing on late night TV. - GrayPixel, on 02/26/2009, -1/+11the playstation alien girl looks like a deformed version of dakota fanning
- Fhwqhgads, on 02/26/2009, -1/+11Yeah I was wondering what was going on.
- MuntrealCanada, on 02/26/2009, -0/+8...and thats why you always leave a note.
- Gudamor, on 02/27/2009, -0/+7Glad that worked out for them.
- cyberthief, on 02/26/2009, -0/+7http://www.director-file.com/cunningham/sony.html
here's the real girl. - capnawesome, on 02/26/2009, -0/+7no she looks like Tila Tequila..
- jirnik, on 02/26/2009, -0/+7The Potty Clown commercial has scarred me to this day. It didn't help that my dad would say things like "Don't let the potty clown get you." when I would go to the bathroom as a kid.
- inactive, on 02/26/2009, -0/+6Or waking up to find him sitting in your bed, staring at you.
- wolferz, on 02/26/2009, -0/+5i did that... i suddenly had the urge to giggle... sort of like the giggle i might give if i had just noticed my arm was missing and I was hanging upside down by a chain wrapped around one leg while a chainsaw wielding guy in a hockey mask was standing 10 feet away.
Yeah... the giggle of the hysteria that lies beyond horror. - Zilk, on 02/26/2009, -0/+5OK you win.
- Foamator, on 02/26/2009, -1/+6...and I JIZZ, IN, MY PANTS.
- ChromaVita, on 02/26/2009, -0/+5I think he's talking about the alien girl one, which is from the original playstation, or playstation 2.
- ChromaVita, on 02/26/2009, -1/+5At first I thought that cracked was putting a tag commonly associated with ads in their picture URL's to get people to turn off adblock on their page, which would be a pretty smart tactic. Turns out it's just that the image URLs have the word Crazy-Ads in them.
- drmangrum, on 02/26/2009, -0/+4Then they were effective. The whole point of the ad is to have you remember the product and talk about it with your friends. Even if it's incredibly creepy and inappropriate.
Humor comes and goes. But downright creepiness is hard to top or forget. - RobotBuddha, on 02/27/2009, -0/+4You have been eaten by a GRUE.
- z95headhunter, on 02/26/2009, -0/+4...
- random90210, on 02/26/2009, -0/+4Quit smoking ad is the worst. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzoagsjlUv4 I saw that ad during the simpsons at 6:00. what the *****.
PS. This is a lot worse on a large HDTV. - mmittimm, on 02/26/2009, -1/+5Watch some better horror movies?
- TKDGIT, on 02/26/2009, -0/+4Um...well I guess it's effective. I definitely don't want to smoke now. I also don't want to eat or sleep ever again. I really wish I hadn't clicked on that link. I also wish I hadn't been eating Jelly Beans when I clicked it.
- Feener, on 02/26/2009, -1/+4I remember those Playstation ads, they were creepy 10 years ago and still are.
- Sil369, on 02/27/2009, -0/+3reminds me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5P6UU6m3cqk&fea ...
- onionoino, on 02/26/2009, -0/+3oh my god this guys arm!
- somedevil13, on 02/26/2009, -0/+3IMO, if we as a culture aren't doing everything in our power to terrify the innocence from our children, we aren't working hard enough.
- yacks, on 02/26/2009, -0/+3Reminds me of...
"Hello.. I'm Talking Tina.... and I'mmm goonnnnnaa killll you!" - StripeyMagee, on 02/26/2009, -0/+3That Axe ad reminds me of the Burger King commercials with the creepy plastic headed King.
- snobrder218, on 02/26/2009, -0/+2People don't understand marketing. If Sony did some normal "oh look, the PS3 has powerful things!", no one would have cared outside of fanboys. But, since Sony did something completely ***** up, it got people talking. Thats EXACTLY what you want in advertising and marketing; get people talking about your products.
It was a smart move on Sony's half IMO. - johnomaz, on 02/26/2009, -0/+2Dugg for Kinder Eggs. I loved those things. Never saw a commercial. My Aunt used to send them to me from Germany. I have hundreds of their toys.
- seventoes, on 02/27/2009, -0/+2Great. Looking foreward to hearing from you.
- Rhonwyn, on 02/26/2009, -0/+2...mommy?
- kamakazitp, on 02/26/2009, -0/+2If by "jungle fever" you mean "craving processed foods created from the seed of the cacao tree", then yes, I agree with you.
- SarahSue, on 02/26/2009, -0/+2The Playstation girl kinda looks likes Snoop Dogg..
- andoru, on 02/26/2009, -0/+2The chocolate body-spray ad... OMG
Step 1: Cut a hole in a box... - Tawney, on 02/27/2009, -0/+2I must say, that was the most enjoyable (yet horrifying) Cracked article I've read in a long time. Excellent selection of mind-scarring ads.
- SeanyMac, on 02/26/2009, -4/+6The first time I saw the Chocolate Axe Body Spray ad, I honestly thought it was an SNL parody... I wasn't terrified in the "Oh my God, Jason is wielding a chainsaw (again)" sense, but in the "Holy crap, it's 2009 and we're still making obscene overtones about white women getting jungle fever?" *shudder*
- NuclearPyro, on 02/26/2009, -0/+1MY EYEZZZZ!
- JarOfEyeballs, on 02/26/2009, -0/+1I was kinda expecting her to pick up a huge knife and go after the girls!
- TheRawn, on 02/27/2009, -0/+1The Norton Furniture commercial that was linked to in the article does not do justice to exactly how weird most of these ads really are.
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=&se ...
Watch a couple of these, they're really out there. - Sylocat, on 02/26/2009, -0/+1In the Nike Pro Apparel one, I kept expecting the athletes to start chanting, "Are you my mummy?"
- BabyWookie, on 02/27/2009, -0/+1I'd hit it.
- TwiiLight, on 03/05/2009, -0/+1The last 2 are nightmare-worthy but I actually liked that chocolate lynx ad
