- dn11, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5the compass rose is the key to the whole thing - although not entirely accurate obviously - most of these communities are made of of many different sorts of people with many different interests and agendas - digg especially has intellectuals and zombies, RL and political news junkies, and web culture junkies etc - and according to this map WoW players are slightly more in tune with RL than digg users? and of course this brings up the question of just how you separate "RL" from the web these days.

  I think the map is assumed flat, otherwise the East-West part of the compass rose would make no sense, with the most real-life oriented and web-oriented places sharing a border. Of course, taking seriously something that is clearly meant for fun might be a mistake as well...
