- BevansDesign, on 01/14/2008, -0/+11Screw Apple, AND their proprietary *****. Iriver has been making better music and video players for several years now, AND they've always supported a wide range of formats.
Don't lock yourself into using one company's locked products. - Daiken, on 01/14/2008, -0/+8Iriver always puts out a lot of interesting concept stuff at CES. It'd be nice if this actually came to development though.
- SoxFanNH, on 01/14/2008, -0/+4iRiver makes some great products, my H-120 is still going strong :)
- SoxFanNH, on 01/14/2008, -0/+3Totally agree, I am so glad I got the H-120 instead of settling for the more expensive iPod with less features. For example, Apple charges $50 for FM-radio, iRiver is built-in with the H120. I can also drag and drop instead of using the bloated iTunes :)
So what if the iRiver might not be a cool looking (I think it is just as good as the iPod btw) I would rather pay for features over looks... - 0260, on 01/14/2008, -0/+3iriver still kicks ass.
- Pake, on 01/14/2008, -0/+2Would love to see this go into production with a cost between $100-$200 dollars so that I could replace all my 4 notebooks with just this and 1 notebook with real paper in it. Sure, a tablet pc would be nice, but let's get real, they are still quite expensive for the type of crap they'll be put through by college students.
- qwertydvorak, on 01/14/2008, -0/+2i have been wanting something like this. i want a pda with a calendar that is the size of a leather bound calendar/organizer with great handwriting recognition. anything less is useless.
- iofthestorm, on 01/14/2008, -0/+2Haha, too much computers. When I first read that, I thought "Why the hell do you have 4 laptops?" But then I read the next part of your sentence.
- scrappyvintage, on 01/14/2008, -2/+3Hopefully they get it right, the technology has been pretty bad in the past.
- PKO17, on 01/14/2008, -0/+1Same here; iriver made some pretty sweet DAPs a few years back . . . too bad they haven't come out with a direct successor to the H-100 series. It seems like they've been making everything except for the products that they were known best for in the past.
- dayvideg, on 01/14/2008, -0/+1i think every student would love to see this stuff work but im not going to hold my breath waiting for it
- MWeather, on 01/14/2008, -0/+1The iRex iLiad has had handwriting recognition for a while now. Granted it costs and extra $60, you can still write without it, it just won't be made into text.
- EricDraven, on 01/14/2008, -0/+0The iriver H1xx and H3xx series is pretty serious stuff, after my H340's battery ran out I got a replacement and installed it myself... plus rockbox is just plain brilliant.
- powpowsamurai, on 01/14/2008, -1/+0http://digg.com/comedy/House_of_Ultimate_Technolog ... lol..this is soo much better
- EatingPie, on 01/14/2008, -3/+2Pretty bad? Spoken like someone who has never seen e-Ink.
This would be a great, as it includes color. But since their last e-reader never actually surfaced, it wouldn't be something to hold your breath about.
-Pie - inactive, on 01/14/2008, -3/+2i can imagine we might be seeing something like this from apple
- mrDwarfish, on 01/14/2008, -6/+2Brilliant, Want!
- kourage, on 01/14/2008, -7/+1I am definitely going to look out for that one. Hopefully this is not Vaporware.
