- marklittle, on 10/10/2007, -3/+45As long as it does not allow for - music, background colors, gifs that are flashing, pictures of eminem, that dang picture of those two people making out in the rain, those little boxes that contain a picture and some flashy text, flash media players, banner ads of almost naked women, new web application program that once you "install" gets send to all your friends and harasses them, doesn't track and tell all the friends what you have been looking at and doing online - then it is A-OK in my book, though I'm sure that I am leaving something out.
That said, I wont be getting one. - drjekelmrhyde, on 10/10/2007, -3/+24But can you bang skanks off it is the real question
- ironicsans, on 10/10/2007, -2/+21It was a graveyard smash.
- BevansDesign, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14This is what happens when a big company can't buy out the one they want (in this case Facebook): they make their own crappy version that usually completely misses the point, and never goes anywhere.
- mabba18, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Great, just another place for Emos to cry about how suicide is painless...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10For now it's invitation only, so couldn't try it, btw, hope I can transfer everything from Y! 360 to Mash when it comes out of beta.
- Birdoftruth, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10when are companies gonna stop beating this horse until its dead.
- MalDON, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Facebook still looks better. Why do all social networks either use too much graphics or so little that it looks like myspace.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9Yawho?
- kxhoopshooter, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7whats with the image of the guy who looks like hes stoned and doing a goatsee
- str3ama, on 10/10/2007, -5/+10you sir are an idiot. Yahoo Pipes IMO was excellent, Yahoo Answers is a great idea but it's flaw lies not in the service but in the people giving the answer, the stupidity of its users is something that no programmer or developer can predict.
- Beaver6813, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Why don't you want the pictures of half naked women!?
- drjekelmrhyde, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5I love Yahoo answers cause people ask the stupidest shyt that gives me a laugh when i'm bored
- sri2c, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Yet Another Social Networking Tool!!
Seriously, pretty soon they would have to come up with a 'Social network of Social networks". - iFungus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Hasn't yahoo released a new social something every year for a while?
- thripper, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Actually that might work. Imagine one place without ads that allows you to see all the relevant info from myspace, facebook ...etc in one place. No longer the need to visit 230 sites to find out about your friends.
- Vanden, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It died a long time ago.
- energizerrabbit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3How about a citation?
- mancat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Go read some of the discussions on Yahoo Answers and I think you'll see that the answer is a resounding YES.
That place has got to have some of the dumbest people on earth posting in it. - sam991, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It brings on many changes.
- elvenseven, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Buried as "To FAIL"
- caLt, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Yahoo should have paid the Facebook guy what he wanted...
- Atomic1fire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Dont forget delicious
its a way for those people who save stuff using digg to not use digg - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Looks boxy. What really sets this apart from all the others? Other than being tied to yahoo so you end up having all your yahoo-mail spam, yahoo-targeted-advertisements and social network all in 1 place? I wont use it, just like I wont use my.yahoo
- WaterDragon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I don't care what THEY call it...I'm going to call it MISH.
- Atomic1fire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Something not yahoo owned
- Promantarius, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2When it stops generating revenue.
- civperc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3"getting" into it? have u been living under a rock?
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2***** it, it isnt Digg.
- civperc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3wow, that looks horrid
- Atomic1fire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1YASNT
the next yahoo product maybe? (referencing yahoo's Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle) - adrianmonk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1or "digg comment that doesn't gratuitously mention Fox News"
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Stupid questions and answers, I love it. good for a laugh but I wouldnt buy stock in it.
- MemoryDump, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1no thanks.. got an invite from a friend and it's not worth the hassle.. seems to me Yahoo is simply trying to catch-up to other big sites
- AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -2/+3Social Networking is officially dead if Yahoo is getting into it.
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Stop hating on it, I loved Alan Alda in the last episode. It wasn't a chicken you idiots, it was actually a baby!
- Atomic1fire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No your thinking of google to a degree
- Markpdotcom, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Facebook looks like *****! And with all these stupid zombie/spankme application spam I get, I'm just about to delete my account!
Will there ever be a bloody social networking site that doesn't spam everyone? - spuddy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I like how if someone expresses an opinion that goes against the grain they're called a troll or dugg down.
- Markpdotcom, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Would never work as a website... isn't this what Flock and browsers like that are for?
- shankarganesh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1you can read a review of yahoo mash here - http://blog.shankarganesh.com/2007/09/15/first-impressions-on-yahoos-new-social-network-mash/ - grab your invites fast!
- Atomic1fire, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1and yet no one points to cnn
with Oliberal and his "news" - jkharris07, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Yahoo is definitely a little late in the game.
- KayinAngel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0fail.
the next line was: "and I can take or leave it if I please." - supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1LOL are you for real? Work for Yahoo much?
TROLL ALERT TROLL ALERT TROLL ALERT - ShyGuy91284, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Uhh.... Mosh is a Nokia service (pretty fun to find stuff to do when you are bored with a phone in hand I might add).
- rnichilo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1I would check out a Google social network.
- adrianmonk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Yes, that was already posted in another comment down below, so it seemed kind of redundant to post it again.
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1If you cant predict that users will abuse a system, make fun of it and give gag answers on it, then you are the idiot and shouldnt be putting together a social networking site or user-generated content site.
Yahoo is simply copying everything that is successfull, except a bit different, and its that a bit different that makes everything Yahoo does suck big ass. -
