- 11familyguy11, on 05/29/2009, -4/+535***This article needs references that appear in reliable third-party publications. Primary sources or sources affiliated with the subject are generally not sufficient for a Wikipedia article. Please add more appropriate citations from reliable sources.
The sweet text of supporting evidence..something Scientology knows nothing about.
On another note, also dugg for the word 'wikifiddler'. - StBucky, on 05/29/2009, -6/+385It's about god damned time. I've been seeing obviously self-serving edits from Scientology for years now.
Way to not understand the internet (again) Scientology. If you mess with something long enough, you're eventually going to be denied access to it. I thought you guys had figured this out back in the newsgroup days. - ChuyMatt, on 05/29/2009, -2/+339I just want to say that Scientology kinda scares me. Most cult religions do, really. But I guess most cults don't have such explicit ideas about lying/cheating/stealing being ok.
- CleoQKazoo, on 05/29/2009, -10/+307This "Church" is starting to remind me alot of North Korea.
- dvsbastard, on 05/29/2009, -5/+273The title should be "Wikipedia bans Cult of Scientology"...
- jknation, on 05/29/2009, -1/+248wait, there is such thing as Wikipedia supreme court? sweet
- YuviC, on 05/29/2009, -4/+247"The first Scientology church was incorporated in December 1953 in Camden, New Jersey by American SCIENCE FICTION AUTHOR L. Ron Hubbard."
That's when I stop caring. - bunkscene, on 05/29/2009, -4/+231"Being a Scientologist, people are turning to you, so you better know it. Ya better know it. And if ya don't... you know... go and learn it... ya know? (laughs). But don't pretend ya know it, and.. or, for ya know, whatever, and it's like, we're hear to help."
- Tom Cruise on Tom Cruise, Scientologist. - schnikies79, on 05/29/2009, -3/+206That doesn't stop them from taking a laptop across the street to the Starbucks.
- iEATcatFOOD, on 05/29/2009, -7/+174Just go to encyclopediadramatica. They're the most accurate
- bfrank72, on 05/29/2009, -4/+156"For the good of your followers, for the good of mankind--for the laughs--we shall expel you from the Internet and systematically dismantle the Church of Scientology in its present form."
- meed, on 05/29/2009, -4/+153WIkipedia just scored one for it's credibility
- MBHockey, on 05/29/2009, -5/+144I would digg this 20 times if i could. Eat ***** Scientology.
- Jeepinator, on 05/29/2009, -1/+130It is quite a statement by Wikipedia though.
- anonymousmedic, on 05/29/2009, -7/+129Epic ***** win.
- JeffRyemon, on 05/29/2009, -6/+117And college profs say Wiki isn't a credible source..pffft
- maz2331, on 05/29/2009, -4/+105Is Tom Cruise is going to sue them now?
- inactive, on 05/29/2009, -9/+109***** SCIENTOLOGY
- Khast, on 05/29/2009, -0/+96Shhhhhh, don't give them any ideas.
- dorkyknight, on 05/29/2009, -7/+100The FBI has to recognize the threat of the Cult of Scientology.
Shut them down, badly. - NathanielJ, on 05/29/2009, -0/+83...people did vote. In the second paragraph of that story, it says the vote came out 10-0 from the arbitration committee. The arbitration committee is appointed by votes of users.
- jitterbits, on 05/29/2009, -1/+78@rpg
L. Ron Hubbard has been dead for years. - jasdf, on 05/29/2009, -8/+84Anonymous is one of the most intriguing entities in existence. I'm sure that doctoral theses could be written on this topic.
- commentposted, on 05/29/2009, -5/+80Wikipedia is so cool.
- inactive, on 05/29/2009, -5/+72***** Scientology!
- D3koy, on 05/29/2009, -2/+68Wikivictory!
- fmorel90, on 05/29/2009, -2/+68And most cults aren't quite as global.
- Klinky, on 05/29/2009, -23/+89I don't think any religion or "religion" really has very good supporting evidence... =/
- codelogic, on 05/29/2009, -1/+64Which doesn't matter because Wikipedia is not a democracy.
"Greatest misconception about Wikipedia: We aren’t democratic. Our readers edit the entries, but we’re actually quite snobby. The core community appreciates when someone is knowledgeable, and thinks some people are idiots and shouldn’t be writing." - Jimmy Wales - Brasolis, on 05/29/2009, -1/+63Most Cults are just retarded. Scientology is retardation with a dash of greed mixed in.
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -1/+62Well, according to Scientology he actually is still alive after he "deliberately discarded his body to conduct his research in spirit form, and is now living on a planet a galaxy away."
/***** - inactive, on 05/29/2009, -1/+62 Yup,and he said the way to get rich was to create a religion,so he did.
http://www.xenu.net/index.html - AndrewDB, on 05/29/2009, -3/+64Yes, it's called Tom Cruse's House.
- Chadrew, on 05/29/2009, -19/+69That's true. When you think about it, Scientology is only a fraction more moronic than others.
- CodeCobalt, on 05/29/2009, -0/+48Tom Cruise is currently in "Mission Impossible" mode trying to break into wiki headquarters so that he can save the church of scientology.
He really is, the nut job didn't realize it was only a movie and thinks he can actually do that stuff, regardless of how much he "believes" he can. - joshblufs, on 05/29/2009, -0/+48No but it does stop teams of people working in scientology buildings from gang raping wikipedia. It's not about stopping church members from having a reasonable voice but it does curtail wholesale abuse (aka gang rape).
- dscan, on 05/29/2009, -5/+53Can Digg follow their lead, PLEASE??
- rentmitchum, on 05/29/2009, -0/+47That and wikipedia just got even cooler in my opinion. It's popular to make fun of for like.. talk show hosts and *****.. but it has good information. They act like anyone edits it and then it doesn't get corrected.. It's really a good source of information. The only danger is making it your only source.. It's a good way to find out a lot of basic things about something. I use it all the time now, but I still read books, check other references when looking things up, etc.. I don't get the snobbery where people act like wikipedia is lesser.. like it's bad.. ***** that.
- Norlick, on 05/29/2009, -4/+49It used to just be a name for the populous of the 'Chans, since most users post anonymously, but recently a few naive kiddo's decided it was actually their super secret retard club, and from there they've gone downhill.
They still occasionally do awesome *****, though some people(most of whom are Anonymous themselves), like WatIsNotTaknYet, think way too highly of it.
No offence WINTY. - TSK05, on 05/29/2009, -1/+45Cult of Science-Fiction? Sounds like something I might like to belong to.. Church of Scientology? Not even close.
- S7aind, on 05/29/2009, -3/+47^^^
What the HELL are you talking about? - spepin, on 05/29/2009, -4/+47This is awesome. ***** the cult of scientology.
- AndrewDB, on 05/29/2009, -7/+50The eighth most popular site on the web, Wikipedia bills itself as "the free encyclopedia anyone can edit." ---- Except the Church of Scientology ... let us laugh at their misfortune now.
Hahahaha! - JoeHague, on 05/29/2009, -9/+52Sorry let me explain myself better-
Your insulting homosexuals both with your derogatory speech and by insinuating that Tom Cruise's lunacy has something to do with his closet homosexuality. - JoeHague, on 05/29/2009, -0/+40Also a great gateway since most of the pages pertinent to writing a college level paper have bibliographies at the bottom of the page/
- Brasolis, on 05/29/2009, -0/+39I don't think the pope is trolling wikipedia all day to put a nice shine on Christianities wiki. Scientologists are embellishing there retarded organization to try and not look so fail, only it backfired horribly and now they look really fail.
- inactive, on 05/29/2009, -6/+44Don't insult gays that way.
