- AZTriGuy, on 08/07/2008, -27/+630Comment system is fracked now. All comments are 0 diggs?
And, yes, CAPTCHA sucks. I'm a registered user, why would I need to enter CAPTCHA text now? - justjeninsf, on 08/07/2008, -21/+558Hey all -
Yep - there's a bug. Nothing fishy is happening - we're working on a fix and hope to get it rolled out soon.
Thanks. - AZTriGuy, on 08/07/2008, -20/+286***** THING SUCKS!

*edited* *****, it was an 8 . . . - ladyjusa, on 08/07/2008, -23/+253You must enter the text you see in the image below to post comments now? I hate doing this when I submit articles!
- clsslc, on 08/07/2008, -7/+203You hate it because you're a robot.
- billbugger, on 08/07/2008, -6/+104then close your legs.
/ i kidd, i kidd - inactive, on 08/07/2008, -14/+111We hate CAPTCHA, yes we do; we hate CAPTCHA, how 'bout you?
- Conwaysb0718, on 08/07/2008, -11/+91no.
- H4n90fThur5D4y5, on 08/07/2008, -11/+85+1
- ladyjusa, on 08/07/2008, -14/+85NO MORE CAPTCHA!!! WOO-HOO's!
- kamel, on 08/07/2008, -6/+70I hope the captcha for comments is a bug too.
Edit: Just noticed I didn't have to put in a captcha for this comment but I did for the one right above this. And I have a +1 now. Things are fixed? - billbugger, on 08/07/2008, -11/+71+1
- jorichter, on 08/07/2008, -41/+89The reason the Digg system isn't working is because people have stopped believing in Kevin Rose.
If you care about Digg you will start believing in him again, like we used to. And everyone is going to have to Digg this comment extra hard. - damonic, on 08/07/2008, -18/+65Its a way for Kevin and the Digg team to make the site more attractive to potential buyers. It seems more legit if it has a CAPTCHA.
- peterfnet, on 08/07/2008, -2/+47A bot was probably causing the problem. How do we stop bots? CAPTCHA

- LilJimmyNordin, on 08/07/2008, -2/+40Bite my shiny metal ass.
- xtmno3, on 08/07/2008, -0/+35Captcha to digg a comment up or down? Talk about destroying the social setup of the site. There isn't a bot posting comments, why re-enable captcha?
- gcnaddict, on 08/07/2008, -3/+35Why should I get over it? I didn't join Digg to see rigged submissions reach the top. I joined to see genuinely-user-approved submissions reach the top.
- Mike668, on 08/07/2008, -38/+68Comments are getting instantly dugg down as soon as they're posted. Something smells fishy.
- arjie, on 08/07/2008, -2/+31More importantly, care to share what caused the bug to manifest? I'm sure that would interest most of us more than just being told it's fixed.
- xtmno3, on 08/07/2008, -1/+27click the number of diggs on the right of the comment. It will be a link that changes them all to show + and - instead of total net.
- abarysh2, on 08/07/2008, -9/+35Fix it sooner! I wanna bury people already.
...ugh and this stupid captcha, how many more random letters do I have to type? - gcnaddict, on 08/07/2008, -8/+32Oh yeah, don't forget the dupes with the exact same URL, like the two ***** NDA posts by Mr Baby Man and Maki Maki:
http://digg.com/tech_news/***** ... - dumpyhumpy, on 08/07/2008, -0/+24That doesn't make sense.

- MavRevMatt, on 08/07/2008, -0/+18What? Tech on Digg? That's crazy talk.
- Aeric, on 08/07/2008, -2/+19I don't have to enter or even see a CAPTCHA
WTF? - dkapuchino, on 08/07/2008, -3/+20I Believe in Kevin Rose!
- Brad324, on 08/07/2008, -1/+17that's what they want you to believe.
- shadeOfGrey, on 08/07/2008, -1/+17There's no... emoticon... for what I'm feeling.
- aladrin, on 08/07/2008, -0/+15No they aren't. You can click the '+0 diggs' next to the thumbs up and down to see how many of each it has. Comments now start at 0 instead of 1.
- RomeyRome, on 08/07/2008, -1/+15A better way to deal with bots is make a hidden field & call it "email" or something (can even have multiples). Since bots look at raw HTML, chances are the hidden field will get filled out. If the hidden field gets filled out, drop the comment.

- PleaseJustDie, on 08/07/2008, -0/+12I'd rather just have a place where I can type something like "huffingtonpost" and any article submitted with that in the URL somewhere, then I never see it.
Then people who don't like to see xkcd on the home page 3 times a week can just put xkcd.com in their blocked url list and people like you who don't like yahtzee can put zero punctuation in it, etc.
That's my 2 cents. - Kral, on 08/07/2008, -3/+14But I need a bigger penis.
- shutaro, on 08/07/2008, -0/+10There's only one way to fix Digg... Kill the Batman.
- GiggleStick, on 08/07/2008, -2/+12Awesome binary solo sock!
