- Frixionburne, on 02/17/2009, -1/+15Jesus... I read this as Vodafone and Oprah...
An Oprah web browser? Now that's a scare. - jmantra, on 02/17/2009, -1/+9I find Opera to be very aesthetically pleasing, however I can't seem to get away from firefox..
- pikelet, on 02/18/2009, -0/+5That's weird...how low end are they aiming for? I mean, I had a very low end SE phone at one point and Opera Mini worked fine. I love Opera Mini though, have used it on all my phones <3
- secleinteer, on 02/18/2009, -2/+7I actually switched from Firefox to Opera, and it's been great. Both of them start out running at around the same speed, but those extensions just weigh Firefox down. You don't have that problem with Opera, since all the stuff that you need extensions for in Firefox is built right in.
And you can still install Greasemonkey scripts, except you don't need an extension to do it. - vsaint, on 02/17/2009, -0/+5You feed it cheeseburgers.
- jasmus, on 02/18/2009, -1/+5Can't get firefox for phones yet, so your choices are rather limited. I use opera on my phone (htc touch diamond) and it works a treat.
- c010rb1indusa, on 02/18/2009, -0/+4This is smart...web browsers need to be consistent and reliable. So partnering up with a company that develops one of the best web browsers on the market is a smart move. The only proof you need is the Wii's Opera browser vs Sony's own browser on the PS3. The PS3 is the more powerful system but their browser sucks compared to the Wiis.
- feliks2, on 02/18/2009, -0/+4I already use Opera Mini on my phone. How will this be different? Article doesn't really explain this at all.
- disrupter, on 02/18/2009, -2/+5Thanks for contributing to Digg *****
- waydee, on 02/18/2009, -0/+2It'll just be Opera Mini with a Vodafone badge on it.
- Giga, on 02/18/2009, -0/+2It isn't sarcasm, it's an overused and abused meme that needs to die.
- ilgaz, on 02/18/2009, -0/+2It is about putting a working, non irritating J2ME based browser to LOWEST end of J2ME phones. It is sub $50 segment. Even Opera mini basic is kinda heavy for them (I tested it).
- pkaoc, on 02/18/2009, -0/+1EVERYthing is bitten dude. Even the word 'biter'
- Madman666, on 02/17/2009, -1/+2sarcasm, much?
- JigoroKano, on 02/18/2009, -2/+3They have an auto-updating regexp based ad filter built in?
- mycoplasma, on 02/18/2009, -0/+1I'm glad I'm not the only one.
- atb12688, on 02/18/2009, -0/+1Oprah doesn't eat meat. Remember the whole thing she had against meat back in the day? Veggie Burgers with soy Cheese I guess?
- nytel, on 02/17/2009, -1/+1What a biter.
- jasmine4u1, on 11/05/2009, -0/+0The freebies just keep rolling came to know of this gr8 offer which Tata Docomo is giving on windows phones , you get 500 mb data per month free for 6 months, all you got to do is sms windows to 54321
- adr3988, on 02/18/2009, -1/+0Have you looked at Mozilla's Fennec mobile broswer? It's not Firefox by name or by interface, but under the hood it's ostensibly the same. Though it's not running on too many phones yet in the future I'm sure it will be an option.
- disrupter, on 02/18/2009, -2/+1I bet it will cost over 9000
- Wiincubus, on 02/17/2009, -3/+2You're a ***** retard. It's a web browser.
- neFariou5, on 02/18/2009, -4/+1a limited version of opera? how exciting... time to get a decent phone folks!
